Just wondering whether anyone else has problems with jagged/irregular horizons.I've attached a couple of examples of what I mean.I've got Active Sky, Ground Environment and Flight Environment installed plus soft horizon and a file called blue sky.I've tried various settings and permutations of these programmes but can't achieve a nice smooth horizon.Any suggestions folks?Frank

I have been using Flightsim Manager for a while, without problems. Last week, when I tried to open it once more, I got an error message saying that the version I have is too old, to check on www.ranainside.com for a more recent version.My problem is that I cannot access this site (page not found...). The latest version I can find in AVSIM is the same I have (2.8.5). I tried to contact the author, as there is an email address in his package, but this email was not deliverable.Is someone able to help?Regards,Domingos

Hi,Today I was faced with a strange problem! When I press the keyboard to open the ATC window it showed up instead a box (in french) asking for an airport ID - please see the attached screenshot.I have no idea where this came from! Does anybody has an hint on this and how can I get rid of this (unwanted) box?Oddly enough, I checked my Fs9.cfg and the key assignment is correct!Thanks in advanceRegardsEdmundo

I'm recently experiencing a total crash to my FS 9 and dedicate PC whilst flying at dusk/sunset only !It happens whith any aircraft, both add-ons and default cessna.I've already installed the new ZINERTEK WORLD ENVIRONMENT 2007 which reaches new heights in realism.Before, I always used Zinertek textures and it happened more seldom.The PC just switches off and I have to let condensers get colder and switch it on again.Can't determine whether it's a matter of software conflicts or hardware.Use a ATI RADEON X 1800, 2 Ghz RAM and 3,4 Intel processor.Many thanks in advance to whom will help me with right advice.Fortunato Guadalupi

I have been using v2.85 of FS Manager but when I tried to use it today I received an error message that "I was using an old version and to visit the website to update". However, www.ranainside.com is no longer appears to be around and I am stuck with FSM that aint working.Before I start to long trek to unzip and move files back into FS9 perhaps someone could tell me if FSM is working on another web and whereHope you can helpThanksGeorge

My apologies if this has been answered before, but I had no joy doing a search. I have a laptop with ATi Radeon 9000 Mobility graphics and the visiblity settings in fs2004 have no effect. Whatever vis I set it just appears to be unlimited? anybody know how/if this can be corrected? Thanks, Mark.

Hi allFotr some reason i am unable to pan left or right when in vc view, it just seems to have set limits,, if i toggle the joystick to pan left or right it simply stops and will not go past a certain point.Does anyone know the setting in the fs config file that controls this , I am going to have to reset it manually. FYI I have no problem looking around in any other view.Thank youPeter

Hello all.I have a quick question for you.What is the easiest and best method to go about migrating FS9 over to a new machine?Once FS9 is installed normally is it possible to just copy the entire directory over to have it recognize add on items? I guess the biggest thing would be scenery add ons. If the scenery.cfg file is copied from another machine does the new machine know where to find everything if the path remains relative? Or does all of the scenery add ons need to be added back into the library manually?What other issues can I expect?I don't know if there is an actual working procedure for this so I thought I would ask to hopefully save me some time later?Any h…

Hi all, I cant seem to open a filed flightplan from Tucson International airport. When I file a flightplan there is usually an option in the ATC window to contact Clearance Delivery, however that wan't there. Is there a fix for this?Thanks,Bill

New to this forum but not to flight sim. Had all the versions but passed on FSX as it runs crap on my machine, as I'm sure a lot of other users will agree.Anyway, I'm happy with the stock FS9 scenery as I can run it all maxed out. I've only installed a few meshes, which all look great to me. So I tried out the RealityPack by Sascha Rieger. Oh no, well it all looks a mess now.1 - Bright green unrealistic grass textures in places.2 - Overall textures too bright and colourful.2 - Textures don't align to each other in places.3 - Gaps between textures.5 - Farm fields stretched over mountain tops.6 - Etc. This is a riot! I found it from a friend at the Janes WWII Fighters site. It's a recording utility for FS9 that lets you record a flight and then play it back and fly along with it. Fantastic!!!You record your P-51, for example, doing a takeoff, a quick barrell roll, then a buzz of the tower. Start another flight, slew your P-51 back a few feet, then hit "Play recording" and your first flight pops up and you can follow your wingman. Hello everyone, sorry if this is the wrong forum for this message but I was wandering if you could help me. I got the active camera demo version 2.1 for fs 9.1 (I have fs 9.1 btw) It works fine in the demo area (KSEA). I registered it so I could use it everywhere but then it stops working. Even when I press (ALT) and go to the menu it says that the product is registered. I have tried everything but it just doesn't work once I registered. Do I have to activate this somehow? For some time I have been dealing with a challenging problem with the CH Quat Throttle....In FS9, the #5 lever (from the left) will not map to a function in FS9. All of the levers and buttons can be assigned, and work fine, but although I can assign this lever, it does not function after it is assigned. I have tried:1. Deleting all assignments and resetting the controls.2. Deleting FS9.CFG and letting the sim rebuild it and then assigning the controls. 3. Deleting the appropriate sections from FS9.CFG and then reassigning. In all cases, no matter what I do, I can't seem to assign this level to any function and get it to operate.I am sure that the device itself is …

Hi everyone,I know about the old SimFlyers KJFK, but I could have sworn that another scenery addon was released maybe last year for this airport. If I'm not mistaken, it was bundled with a few other airports as well. I did locate "World Airports Vol 2", but it looks like that's just the SimFlyers KJFK packaged together with others.Does anyone know which JFK addon I'm looking for? I have been flying airplanes all my life. Full size, radio controlled and simulated. My experience has been that FS default aircraft often leave a little to be desired. I have several airliner payware addons but no GA or helicopters. I find the default helicopters very difficult to fly and not at all what I have been given to believe a real helicopter flies like. I have always been told helicopters on average are sensitive but the FS helicopters seem sluggish. I fly R/C helicopters and have found them to be sensitive like I expected of full size helicopters. I want to know if the payware helicopters fly more realistic and maybe which ones are better. Thanks.

Hello, Any guys here have this from Zinertek? From screnshots, when flying over water, there are glossy streaks, why is that? It makes scenery look like it is covered with plastic wrap or something. I contacted Zinertek about this but got no response. Thank you.

They look great, they're prize is correct in that it represents the quality of the addon. So far, I haven't bought because I don't know Cloud9. I'm worried that, as with some other download addon's, the number of installations is limited. Since I often change my pc setup rather drastic (motherboard, cpu,...) such a limitation is, to put it lightly, often a problem.
