Not too long ago I found a thread asking if FlightZone02 was really worth it. I'm not a big GA fan so I never paid much attention to small area terrains. After reading nearly 2 pages of positive remarks I decided to give it a go and WOW!!! I can not believe the amount of effort put into this. Not only does it run smooth but I gave there optimized settings for taking screenshots a try and still get great frames. If anything Portland Intl. is worth the price alone and I've added it to my FsPAX schedule. My favorite however is Pearson I really love the approach for 26, I swear I can see rivets on the bridges! Hi everyone, well recntly i have figured out that there are some good freeware aircraft, before i realised this all my aircraft were payware(which are excellent models and systems, nothing against it) however I have put too much money into flight sim so now im looking for some really good freeware aircraft. Im looking for a good metroliner III, I saw one but cant remember where. Any tips.Thanks

Just recently beginning to get a relatively small but annoying uncommanded left rudder deviation, during any and all aspects of flight, making directional control difficult on the ground and causing my aircraft to skew nose left during flight. Fuel is balanced.I'm using CH pedals, USB, and have calibrated and recalibrated them through windows Interestingly, during calibration, I can see a slow drifting up (increasing left rudder)of the rudder pedal cursor in the calibration applet, so something is not right somewhere. I have also checked FSUIPC for inadvertant trim assignments - nothing. The behavior disappears with "auto-rudder" ticked in FS9 realism preferences, making …

Hi all, I am filling my FS9 skies with realistic aircraft as much as possible. I have found some great planes for freeware and wish to add others such as the great military heavies and fighters. I am using the excellent GA Traffic by Markus Brunner and it is doing a great job with minimal frame rate impact. But it won't do the military stuff as far as I can see. Also, the military bases don't seem to have any traffic at all. Does anyone know the short version on how to get the C130s and C5s etc. to land at these bases?Thx,Dolph

Hi Gang,I just up-graded my graphics card to a Nvidia 7800, with 512MB on-board, and I am very impressed with it, I also threw in another gig of RAM to make it 2 Gigs.I have a question though, I am still seeing my old ATI X800 XT PE in the FS9 .cfg, and not the new card.I did re-set the display settings in FS9 for both monitors, and it showed them in the drop down list of the display devices in the options screen in FS, but the FS9 config file still shows the X800.is there any way of changing it, or doesn't it matter.Thanks,

Hi guys is there a autogen set or program that places trees better in FS9. That is my biggest thing about FS9. FSX places the trees in a much better way then FS9. FSX palces them in rows and bunchs FS9 just sets them evenly spaced every where.

Hi, If someone could help me with this small anoying problem...I have just included Flight one's great Cessna Commander 112A a/c to my fleet, Theres nothing wrong with this great GA aircraft. The problem is with the FsStartup Config program that came with it, since I selected one of the options, Meigs or Seattle, I seem to be stuck with The flight sim loading the option I have choosen and parked on the runway....No matter what I do. Could someone please tell me what I've got to do to get my usual setup page back that i use to get when I load FS..... Best regard Peter. Are there any good A318's 19's or 20's out there that have a realistic flight model and model all of the systems correctly? I am looking for something with an FMC, accurate cold/dark starts, ect. In addition, I would love to fly from the VC. Anything out there? I heard of PSS, but heard bad reviews. ThanksBZ

Hi, can someone tell how to move tower near active runway for spotting in FS9. Also is it the same for FSX?

For some reason in VC view I cannot pan left or right, ?? This came out of nowhere? I must have some corruption or I accidentally did something??Any thoughts?Also I recall seeing a fs.cfg utility for maintenance etc. Anyone know what Im referring to??ThanksPeter

When I try to toggle the fire retardant effect it is clear instead of red. I only notice it is working if I am close to the aircraft. Any Suggestions?

Is there a tool that will search my aircraft folder and list all aircraft titles along with their textures and cruise speeds for me?I'm specifically looking for omething that will output a text file with the above information.

I want to know what in your opinion has the best freeware virtual cockpit?I came across the TBM in the library, what has a nice cockpit but a bad flightmodel, and slow updates on the gauges.Also, found the best freeware jet around, with a VC, Maltby's BAC1-11. Hey Folks,So have any of you gearheads out there installed Windows Vista yet? Any issues that you'd care to share with us? I'm very tempted to take the plunge and upgrade, but I'm a bit nervous about what payware products may break in doing so.

Hi,I want to know what the daily schedule is for a typical 737 pilot. I am after info on Westjet pilots as I fly for virtual wesyjet but I cant log onto the forms at their site. I think it would be quite interesting to do a whole day of flying like a professional pilot would do but on FS.Thanks for any helpAndy S

You know..FSX runs pretty decent on my system without too much compromizing and its got amazing ground textures and unbelievable water. And yet.. I keep going back to FS9 and flying them more often. And I realized why.Its the detailed airport and airport texture. Its all about landing. Even in real life flying..the best part about flying has always been landing for me. I just love having that runway in front of me and I have everthing set right. To bring the sucker in by the number and touching down brings tremendous joy in real flying as well as in the Sim.Good airport textures and scenery is what does that for the sim. Hi all,first thanks for some recent help (you know who you are). Given I am revisiting and reinvigorated with FS9, I've restarted an old project. First: download an airport (freeware, I'm stingy) of interest. The next day or so, download one nearby and construct some flights. And so on.... For me this expands my vocabulary and georaphy and sets up a nice canvass on which to paint later. EX: I started at Columbus, GA (hometown), went down to Florida and ended up after a few months at Simon Bolivar in Venezuela. With about 60 airports in between! Now, I'm building a North Sea chain, from the Channel Islands north.... and the why not .... south. That's just the way …
