Hey all,Ive been flying on simulator for just over a year now. My landings are not too bad but there is not much consistancy, somtimes they are smooth, other times a tad rough!I mostly fly the 737 and have now just moved on to the pmdg 737ng and would be interested if anybody had any tips on executing the perfect landing, whens the best time to flare or cut the throttles for example?Thanks in advance,Dave

FS 9 is crashing, actually just stops to desktop and has to be started from scratch again. Starts without problem and the computer is running OK. This happens randomly and is of course very irritating as flights have to be restarted from zero. Hi, I finally decided to add some AI traffic, so I installed packages from WOAI and then PAI. I have since run into some problems with missing effects files, which are killing my FR's and didnt exist before the installs. First, I find with filemon that there's a call for fx_strobex.fx., which doesn't exist in default FS9. Upon the advice posted here:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=263&topic_id=2420&mesg_id=2917&page=2, I first created a strobex.fx file from another strobeh.fx and that seemed to satisfy the call and solve the problem. But then, I then found the offending AI aircraft making the call for the file in the aircraft's.cf…

I haven't "tampered" with the AI plane paint schemes in FS2004 and wanted to get rid of the default "Orbit" type planes. What do you suggest as far as paint schemes for the default AI aircraft? HelloI started experimenting with traffic recently and I have a problem with a particular airport. It is tha LGSA. I played with the afcad file and even thought there are suitable parkin spots and the fault finder doesn't find something wrong a can't get any traffic to start from there (it does never appear) or when I instruct a plane there it flies over it and never nands. I Know that the AI Planes work ok so it must be the airport.I appreciate any helpJim

I uninstalled FSNAV tonight and now none of the gps are working.I found on the forum that I need fs9gps.gau.Anyone help me on this ,have looked in all the CDs but failed to find it. Any help greatly appreciated.

My main hard drive is relatively small, so I installed FS9 on an external Hard Drive (j:/). FS9 still stores flight plan files in the "Documents and Settings" folder on my Main Hard Drive (c:/). Is there a way to change the location where FS9 stores the flight plan files to my external hard drive?

My traffic has began to show duplicate AIaircraft - like flying in formation. Planesare Lear Jet, Cessna 182, Mooney etc. All GAaircraft. I have VOZ AI loaded as well as Ultimate Traffic. Have looked for dups butstill have these twins. Taffic set at 75%Any thoughts on whatto do next. See pic for example. TIA

I have FS9 installed on my computer and I am would like to install CFS3 on the same drive. Will they play nice with each other or mess up FS9's config. file or cause other problems? It took me a while to get FS9 set up and working smoothly and I don't want to mess it up. Has anybody put both these programs on their computers?Kim Kraemer

My FS9 has been slow loading and getting worst. It now takes about 1 minute and 30 seconds to get to the main menu. Why does it take so long to load? Is there something I can do to speed up the load time?Do I have too many planes (over 200)?Thanks...

Hi Guy's.if any of you own the above aircraft, can you tell me please if you have managed to get the FMC working in the aircraft, so we can use the LNAV on the panel, I know the LNAV is functional, but it looks for plans in a different place, so I wondered if any of you have managed it.Thanks,PS do any of you know where we can get some good re-paints for it, especially in high quality textures etc, I know it's an old plane, but I still have lots of fun with it, and I enjoy flying it enormously.

I've tried and I've tried but I cannot get "Meatwaters" CIVA INS install, for the 707, to ACTUALLY control the CaptainSim 707? Has anyone else gotten this to work?? It has no "errors" but it will not control the aircraft. If you have it working, please let me know HOW! Vic

I would like to have more traffic at my local airport to better simulate real conditions. Anyone know how to add more ai aircraft? I downloaded afcad but the docs didn't spell out if it could do it, I didn't want to mess anything up so I didn't mess around too much with it. Am I in the right place? Thanks for the help!

I am considering getting UT for my sim and was wondering if some owners could give me feedback on the product. I have recently shelved FSX for many reasons and I still enjoy FS9 immensely at full throttle with all of my addons.How do u classify third party scenery when using UT,Do the scenery layers need to be above the UT platform??Are the roads better than USA ROADS ? Hi there...I hope someone's able to help me with this problem, I usually fly at nights with a friend via multiplayer session (IP direct connection), and normally there's no problem, but a couple of weeks ago, I had to reinstall the FS9, and now... when we are flying, the planes keep jumping from side to side... that is... they dissapear and reappear constantly... It's very frustrating, because we cant' fly in formation, cuz some times the plane jumps right on top of the other one and it crashes...Hope someone has some experience with this kidn of thing.Thanks,Pedro
