It looks like FS is looking for some invalid .fx files and then some non-existant.fx files and I believe they are leading to Out of Memory errors after long haul flights but do not know how to troubleshoot. I need help using JCA's B717-200 with FS2002 (which works with FS2004, too), but since AVSIM doesn't have a forum (or forums) for prior FS versions, I'm posting my question here in the hope that someone can still help me with my problem.Actually, I'm having a couple of problems. First off, on loading a JCA B717 the AH screen is blank (the other 3 come up though). The artifial horizon comes up after I start the engines, but refuses to function. I have always never been able to get the other door open, and I know "Shift" + "E" + "2". Still nothing need help very soon.

HiI have been getting a corrupt flight file error on the startup splash screen. I have found looking at a post on another site that it has to due with a bad saved flight file. I removed all my flight files to just be on the safe side and the error still appears. Is there something else maybe in a cfg file that needs to be eliminated or will the better thing to do is reinstall the whole simulator? ThanksZach Bender K7LTF

I found an airport last night that has incorrect approach data in the gps for a gps approach. It got me to the airport but looking at the published approach it was pretty far off. Is there an easy way to fix this? Thanks.

Does anyone know of a utility which can open .r8 texture files in FS9?My problem is that I have an airport scenery which shows one of the surfaces as bright orange, when I know that it should be grey.I'm having to guess which texture is being used, therefore it would also help if anyone knows if there is a program to identify the texture.AFCAD2 was used to create the surface, and gravel texture was used. As far as I know, AFCAD2 doesn't have any built-in textures, or does it?David Hanstater

For some time now, I have been looking at purchasing the Feelthere 737 PIC. I have done a little research, looked at there forum, read the reviews in Computer Pilot, PC Pilot, and AVSIM. With the exception of the last few paragraphs of the Computer Pilot article, for the most part,the reviews are fairly positive. At the tail end of the June CP article the author states that there were issues with the auto-land, VNAV abd LNAV features. He stated that even after the patch came out, he still had issues with those systems. All of a sudden I cannot pan left or right when in 3d virtual cocpit. It look like there are limits set of the view is locked in fs9.1. I have never seen this before ???HELP. Thoughts Peter

How do I know if my system is running out of RAM or processor capacity when my flight simulator fps goes tremendously down or when it gets stuck loading textures?I have put lot of AI aircrafts in at my local airport and on an average there are around 30 of them with detailed models and 16bit textures present at gates. Till I prevent them from comming in my view and observe the landings and takeoffs the average frame rate comes out to be 28fps. But the moment I face them the computers gets stuck for a long time and I can see the hardisk working hard. After 30 seconds or so, all airport and ground texturea vanish. Most of the AI aircrafts in fs2004 have a bumpy landing which removes the illusion of fragileness and makes them look pretty unrealistic. But I have observed that kingair 350 performs a nice flare and has a quite soft touchdown. I tried to, but couldn,t find the parameters in the aircraft.cfg which control the flare properties. Can someone let me know what all needs to be changed in cfg file to fix this without altering the landing speed and braking distance by much?

the alt climb isnt really working for me... its as if there was no VC mode... I click on 'arm' on the alt reminder thingy and everytime I do, it goes back from waht I set it to to the alt i'm currently at (for example, if i'm at 5500 feet, and I set 15000 feet, i click arm and it goes to 5500) same thing happens with the alt button the ap (when I press it it sets itself to the alt i'm at) the up/down buttons dont do crap on either :(whats going on :(

I turned the WX radar on, clicked it on for the MFD, also turned turbulunance on but I don't get anything on the screen... its also enabled with the radar sweep option in the confg. program it came withI did notice I can't turn on the gain (I can't click on it) so maybe thats why...any idea what I need to do?

I have just installed the FlightDeck SFX gauge to the PMDG 737 800 and have it working fine in the 2D cockpit only view.But when I go to use the Virtual Cockpit and Cabin Version, when I am in 2D the BUTTONS of the gauge show up, but not the background of the gauge. Just a black box all around where the background of the gauge should be.Any thoughts would be appreciated.ThanksDarryl

In June I bought a program for FS9, OF-AirportsUSA. The program worked well for a couple of times, but recently it suddenly quits installation!So, on Nov.3, I sent an email to Oceanflight about the problem. I am trying to install the FDSFX guage and SFX. into the PMDG 737 800. As far as I can tell I did everything according to the Read Me. 1) Extracted the zip to a tenp directory2: Copied the Panel folder to the PDMG 737 800 dir3) Copied the gauge folder to the Main FS9 dir4) Copied the sound folder to the main FS9 Dir Yet there is no gauge in the cockpit? Unless I am just not seeing it.
