Hi all,I have been using Eaglesoft's SR22 for quite some time now, its a wonderful aircraft and I love flying it. However I am now looking for another GA aircraft of the same quality etc that I can use in FS9 (or FSX). A multi engine aircraft or something with a GPS suite or glass panels would also be really interesting. But the problem I find is finding decent GA aircraft that can live up to the quality of Eaglesoft's SR22.Any body have any idea where I could find such an aircaft?Any help would be appreciate!Thanks :)Arman

Is it possible to delete all aircraft with the exception of one (Including the Default aircraft)?

Hi,I downloaded the "Simple FMC" by Alex Wemmer, and it is quite useful, but am still having problems with RNAV SIDs and STARs. For example, on the WINCO1 Departure out of KMIA, I can navigate to the OHOFO and WINCO intersections, but when i type in intersections such as CIMBA, SENOY, or FORKK, it comes up with 'Intersection not found'. Is there any way i can find the intersections Lat and Long to put in the waypoint database? Or an update with all intersections? Thanks for any help,Matt

Hi everyone.I've just downloaded some freeware Russian airports and I'm now looking for an AI pack that will populate my virtual eastern skies with the various Russian airlines.I used to have an AI pack that covered Russia, but I've long since lost it. I've just searched the forums here and can't find anything relevant. Does anyone know of a good AI pack that covers the former Soviet Union?Cheers.

Hi - I just tried a freeware version of the FSGenesis West Coast mesh, and I have a few questions about it -First - while it just may be my imagination, my frame rates seem to increase. Can that be right?Next... about water bodies - does the mesh actually affect coastlines, including lakes? It doesn't seem to; I took a look at Miramar Lake (near MCAS Miramar in San Diego) and it was just totally wrong; that said, the water body still fit neatly into the mesh.Also, I can't seem to find much here on NuRoads 2 - I currently have USA Roads and am not sure if there's much difference, or if it's worth looking into Ultimate Terrain or something.Any help appreciated-thxAndrew

Hello,I am really confused about all the different types of approach (I'm mainly referring to airliners (I often fly the Level-D 767 or PMDG 747). Say I am using the FS ATC and I am given an ILS approach, but the weather is fairly good, would I still fly a precision approach or would request a visual approach (or other)? If so, why use a visual approach and would I be able to ignore the ILS?When would I use a VOR approach (is it just when there's no ILS)?Is the APP mode used only for precision approaches (should I use vertical speed mode for all other approaches even if ILS is available)?Any help would be greatly appreciated.Regards,Callum

Hello Guys !!I am now using FS2004 with a LCD monitor that has a resolution of 1280x1024. I have an AMD 4600+ Dual Core with 2GB of RAM and a GeForce 7900 GTX with 256 MB of memory.Now I would like to increase the resolution and buy a 1600x1200 LCD screen (20 inches).My question is:Is there a big impact on the frame rate if I change from 1280x1024 to 1600x1200?I can easily understand the graphic card has more pixels to paint, but does it really impact the performance?If some of you can switch from a resolution to the other, you might give me the answer ;-)Thanks !!Eric

Hello I am trying to figure out if there is a problem with my pc. Im using squawkbox 3 asv6 and the LDS 767. So I would appreciate it if some people could post their specs and the average frame rate they are getting, thanks.

After trying the tweaks (all the tweaks) I still have scenery segments popping in late, and scenery in the distance decides when it wants to pop into place. It's not like the scenery is loaded up front and stays there, it keeps adding as I go. Some squares pop in and then pop back out.Worst of all, I still have huge hesitations, not small stutters as the overall framerate stays locked at 20.8 (locked at 21). No, it's a pause - sometimes 2-3 seconds long!Also around my aircraft, below it, is very crisp but it has a line say a mile ahead that is not crisp at all. This line moves with my aircraft (outside view above and behind the plane). Nothing I have done gets rid of this…

I have three (3) hdd's on my system, all with their own xp os's installed. I notice that there was an xp update installed last night (Australian Time) and since then I cannot get fs9 to download real-world weather updates on any of the drives (each drive has fs9 installed). I have known the Jeppeson site to go down for a couple of hours in the past but this is almost 24 hours. Anyone else having this problem?Jon S

I really don't know how to put this or even if it should even be said after all this time but these FSX screenshots are pretty ugly to say the least. In comparison to FS9's screenshots I'm finding it hard to see how people keep praising every shot someone's posted. Flightsim.com's screenshot forum is the worse. There you have FSX pics of watered down looking mountain ranges, no dusk lighting to speak of, and unrealistic looking rural airports. The FSX textures look like something out of Jane's F15 or JSF from the mid 90's, I'm finding it hard to believe what I'm seeing. The endless praise of these screenshots is what get's me. I'm seeing shots where the ground scene…

Just a word to the wise. If FS9 gives you this message with increasing frequency, you may be ready for a Hard Drive replacement. I started getting this message at random about a month back, with increasing frequency--first it was every few days, then every other day, then almost once a day. By checking the date/timestamps of the scenery.dat files I could see it happening to different scenery folders--most often USA Roads folders since they contain by far the largest number of files. Hi all,this is my fisrt post in this forum (before only looking)I joined to ask this question.I use on my 717 the beautiful panel Ken Mitchell designed for it. Howewer, in that panel,, the Attitude Indicator screen is totally black. I have investigated about that issue and found out Ken was aware of this problem and released a fix. Now, I cant find the fix anywhere.Can somebody help me finding it?Thanks

I downloaded a Cebu Pacific DC-9 fleet package. It did come with a callsign. But the pilot dosen't say the callsign. How do I make the pilot say the callsign?Thanks!

hey everyone,I first purchased fs9 to help me practice for my IFR license. Since then, i've only installed/bought a handfull of very good GA planes. The Aeroworx King Air in probably the most complex aircraft in my virtual hanger (since i don't have a multi-engine license, i wanted to test the waters with it).lately, i've been itching to get into the heavies. I know both PMDG and Level-D do a good job of simulating the 7 series boeings. I know i'll never be able to fly the real-deal, but it might be fun to understand how they operate.However, would a hardcore GA person like myself enjoy all the systems? I guess FSX has officially claimed it's first payware scenery developer victim (pure speculation I know). I was really looking forward to Kansas Intl and Oakland Intl airports for FS9 (Kansas was almost done). Ooh well, hopefully FlyTampa doesn't suffer the same fate. Hopefully Aces releases something that will help scenery developers around that ground scenery issue.It's sad some developers (Level-D) feel the only option is to move towards FSX or go out of business. There are too many people who'll still be using FS9 for another year and a half (yea the release date is a ways off for the 757 but unless that FSX patch does miracles, FS9 might be in the running until FS1…

I have the Carenado 182RG andhave seen a gps/nav switch for the autopilot. Also My impression is that the GPS looks like a handheld unit. If so I suppose thegps/nav switch shouldn't work (but it does)Question if I wan't to strive for realism should I always use the nav position for this switch?

Hi,I seem to have lost my runway lights, I can see the RW only in spot viewbut nothing in 2D or VC.
