Hi all,I'm at my wit's end so I thought I'd post here and see if anyone might have some insight to my problem.Within the past 10 days or so, I've started to experience random crashes in FS9. There is no rhyme of reason to it. I'll be flying along and usually sometime between an hour and a half to two hours, the sim will crash. There is no warning/error message...I'm just dumped back to the desktop. However there have been occasions where I have flown a two hour flight without the CTD. I haven't added any scenery (using only the default) nor done anything to my system. I thought I had it cured when I figured out FS AutoStart wasn't shutting down the latest version of the f…

I am flying along and suddenly, the sky turns green, the clouds are red, and there is fluttering along the screen edges. I had this problem before ,and I updated my video driver. I have a nvidea 5500 card. Running driver v. 81. Had similar prob. with Links ls 2003. But the driver update took care of both problems. Now all of a sudden, same old problem. Anyone else have this problem? And if so, what did you do? Thanks S Sumner

I see John Cillis'(JohnCi) post below where he mentions his "Soft Horizons" add on, so this question may be more directed to him, or anyone that's installed his creation. Does "Soft Horizons" work with Flight Environment for FS9? Does it effect any files in an adverse manner where I might lose some of the effects of FE? I have very little add on scenery installed, use FS Global 2005, some of the effects of Real Pro Environment and usually use FS Real World Weather.Thanks in advance for any replies,John M

Does anyone know of a source of an AI schedule for Evergreen International? They're the worlds largest operator of 747 freighters but I can't find a schedule anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. There are repaints available here at AVSIM for both the -100 and -200.Thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hi and Season's greetings to all.Would someone know if there is an atc control pgrm for FS9 with dedicated windows for the approach controller that would show both path and glide slope position of an incoming AC. An app that could be use to guide a pilot in emergency situations, bad weather, low vis, failed avionics etc. :-) Think of a situation as in the 60's Airport film.Could be a dedicated approach control app or part of general atc control prgm. Hi.I have listened to alot of talk about FSX vs FS2004 and i decided to go get FS2004. Now, to make it as good looking as possible, what mods do i get? (Except for stuff i have already downloaded, like 5621 different aircraft that were mostly only compatible to FS2004.)I am mostly looking for eye candy enhancements, my box can run FSX "reasonably well" but when i go to places like Haneda (Tokyo), my FPS sinks down below the earts crust.Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas.

I have noticed that most of my A/C running lights (NAV,BEACON,STROBE) look out of sorts like they are larger than the lights themselves.I guess a golf ball effect would best describe the way they look.I am not sure if its my Vid driver or is there a way to change something in the A/C cfg and or effects file to make the lights more defined/realistic? PLease give me a detail or an example of what needs to be done ...I have a host of addons that I am noticing this.As I pan away the effects get better when using the outside view.ThanksAndy

One thing in FS9 that irritates me much is how the world and especially the horizon is displayed from a high altitude. The screenshot below shows an example of what I mean. It's in the PNW looking out the ocean. The white areas is Megascenery PNW that don't blend well with thesurrounding.By chance is there no fix for this flaw in FS9? hi,ive seen some vids on you tube where during take off there is voice saying 80 knots, v1, v2, rotate. As well, upon landing the co-pilot will state the altitude.how do i get this integrative add-on?

Hi guys,since a few days I have serious problems with my sim. :-( After flying a while my frames drop suddenly from around 40-50 fps to about 2-3 fps. At the same time the sound starts to stutter and within a few seconds I have a CTD. Sometimes I happens when I start a flight after just a few seconds. Sometimes I get the error message: "Out of memory. FS will shut down."I am totally desperate. It happens with add-ons or just default scenery and planes. One funny thing is that, when I change the view after the problem starts the frames shoot up to about 30 fps and it delays the CTD for a few minutes. I have search this forum but did not find an answer to my problem. When I set my water effects sider to max and then go back to flying, it defaults back to LOW when I check it again. Is there some addon for FS9 that displays a moving map of your current flight.I'm not talking about the ones that you have to punch in the flight plan to get the moving map; but rather one that reads the current flight and just displays it on a map.Like the moving maps you see in the TV screens when you are in a 777 (if so equipped).Thanks :)

It creates nice simple dispatch sheets easily without any hassle which is why I like it!! Despite only really initially considering the european version, i have now bought all three because i like it so much!! These are UK, european and a version for the major american airlines. hi im looking to see if anyone can give me a list of the 777 default gauges or where i can download them on avsim. I am trying to import my fs9 777 default panel into fsx and i stupidly uninstalled fs9 before i got a chance to get the gauges. Thanks

I've tried everything and after years of successful flight simming online I have come across a problem that I can't find an answer to anywhere. I fly with FS9 on VATSIM with SB3 or FSINN and for some reason the frames go down to 1 and it starts to lock up. Processor just shows that FS9.exe is at 100% but as soon as I disconnect from SB or FSINN frames and CPU go back to normal. Does anybody have any suggestions as I've formatted my computer and am running the same machine that was working fine around the first of November. Any help is appreciated.Thanks,Corey

My girl friend went to China to visit her family for a week-- so....
