All,I am running out of my mind not being able to fly the DA Cheyenne, please see below and I would really appreciate if anyone can assist please?I have just recently purchased the Cheyenne but I am receiving the following error when attmpting to load the aircraft from within FS9.gauges/DA.PA31SYS.gau(this now appears for all 8 gauge files)This causes FS to CTD, any reason why...? http://www.digital-aviation.de/ewpforum/viewtopic.php?t=3363ThanksPHIL

Hi People,Since 2 weeks i am having rpoblems with the time settings. Whenever i choose the local time at the airport - the FS quits. After trying 15 times, sometimes it works but when i put e.g. 1 pm at my Dept. Airport - i get a dark setting with blue colors - like it would be evening.Marek Ehrlich

Just wondering if anyone ever tried installing FS onto an external hard drive.If anyone has could they shed some light on any issues they may have encountered...like response times, heat generated by the external hard drive, any difficulties etc etc.Thanks, I'm fresh out of space on my 60GB drive and all i have on it is FS and i can't squeeze any space out of itthanks,alan

Hello all!I just purchased Aerosoft's Piper PA-31T Cheyenne after reading about a fantastic review on the Avsim Review forum. Indeed, I agree that after having flown it myself, from top to bottom, this is one BEAUTIFUL Aircraft! I love it! I think I may be doing something wrong in configuring my CH Throttle Quadrant in FS9. When flying the Piper Cheyenne only, all seems to work well functionally except the graphical display of the "Condition Lever", (The Red "Fuel Mixture Lever"), inside the Piper Cheyenne virtual and 2-D cockpit. The Mixture Lever displayed in the Cheyenne flickers on and off rapidly when I move the Mixture Lever on my Throttle Quadrant but the Propellor…

This is what I would do: I would create a fly-in community like Spruce Creek in Florida near Daytona. But I would custom develop it.Heres how..First off for those who dont know about Spruce Creek it is considered the best/biggest fly-in community in the world and has many homes but also the way the taxiways are made you have them between the back of two rows of homes with the hangers in the back and the street for cars in the front. I've read some posts regarding aircraft "hopping" up and down on dry land but my issue is a bit more severe. Several of my float/amphibious aircraft will literally leap many hundreds of feet into the air if they are on water and I go to Spot View. Of course, now the aircraft has no forward speed and it tumbles back down only to repeat the whole thing when it hits the water again. Once this starts the only option is to end the flight. I've seen some mention of "Contact Points" being a possible culprit? I have had the problem in the Aerosoft Beaver and the MAAM XC-47...I don't recall having it in the Carenado U206 or the FSD Porter? Anyone seen what I'm talking about or hav…

Hi, I mostly depart from my home airport KSAN and notice when Im at the hold short point of the runway the tower does not clear me for takeoff when there is traffic around 6nm away on final. I use AI smooth. Is there a setting to adjust this so the tower can clear planes for takeoff then they are even around 5-4 mile away when there is heavy ground traffic waiting for departure?Thanks,Bill

Hi there,I just recently started experiencing the weirdest altimeter problem. Once I pass through transition level FL180 and press 'B' (lazy, I know) to reset the altimeter to 29.92 it actually resets the altimeter to 29.92, however, looking at the altimeter and what FS9 actually measures (checking by pressing 'shift-z') FS9 reports about 400-500 feet higher and ATC gets mad at me.What's really weird is that this just recently started, unfortunately I don't know when and after what alteration I made during re-installing everything on my new system.It's almost as if FS9 is ignoring the transition level of FL180?! I double checked both altimeter and backup altimeter setting…

Lately when the sim loads, at around 70%, it takes much longer as the "adjusting scenery objects" works. This is something fairly new and I'm wondering what I can do to eliminate the "adjusting". I have recently installed Flightzone's Portland and Providence, Digital Aviation Dornier and Cloud9 Phantom and Washington. Once installed, they shouldn't make changes I would think.Michael

I have had a long period of trouble free Sim running,but now i have started to get CTDs and i don't know why.When i check my event log it comes up with event error 1000 or 1001 leaving me absolutely no wiser at all as to what i might do to rectify this situation. I suspect this will be yet another mysterious windows problem but if anybody has any ideas i would appreciate it.cheers Andy

Not sure if this is the right forum.I purched EZ-GPS two days ago and applied the registration key but I am unable to get a list of my stored FS9 flight plans when I press 'RTE' it just shows the KSEA - KSEA Demo route. When I click on INFO it does say the program is a registered version.Has anyone else had this problemGlen

CAn anyone help me troubleshoot the FS AI Separation program. I have used it in the past. I just reformatted and reinstall it and it will not connect to FS9.I have tried starting it first, then FS9 and visa versa. Can anyone think of a reason for this? Everytime i try to open the default GPS in any plane, FS crashes. Recently this problem has extended to the default map as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,My sim (FS9) was running smooth as silk, I had to switch to another PC of similar specs and reinstalled all my stuff and did the same tweaks and tuning. Now, the sim is smooth for 3 seconds and then I have some noticeable stuttering and smooth again, this is also reflected on the FPS, they are steady at 22, fall to 15-17 and climb again, every 3 secs. approx.I checked background programs and even monitored file access with a real time file monitoring tool, nothing found. The problem persists even if I'm flying with no add-ons (no squawkbox, no antivirus, etc.) with the default cessna 182.I'm running with the usual performance tweaks, disabled every possible service,…

I recently added Real Environment Professional to my FS9 and I must say it makes a nice upgrade to the scenery, especialy for freeware. I am considering adding Flight Enviroment also. Would anyone know if running both would cause a conflict with each other, or would it only make a good thing even better?I also have Active Sky installed.Thanks in advance to any replies.John Maane

Hi All..need your help. I thought I would have enought HD space (18Gig) on my exsiting hardrvie but after installing FSG North America 1 and 2 and Europe/Africa FSG on my HD, I have less than 700MB remaining on my internal HD. Can I copy just my scenery folder or specifically my FS9/Scenery/world/scenery folder to my external drive where I have plenty of disk space? I guess I would need to then edit my sceenery.cfg file to point to the new location. Will that work?? or is there an easier way.Thanks for any help.Carl

I keep getting the tip thats say's:"Engines not running, press shift E to start" message but i have the tips sected as off, unchecked. Any other way to turn it off?Thanks................

Hi People !I was having NO problems at all for a logn time and from one sec to the next - i cant get into the FS. At the beginning the program is loading perfectly - then i do all my flight planning, chose the plane and would like to start the flight - the program quits.Sometimes it works when i leave the Cessna but then i have the issue that at daylight i have pretty dark skies.What shall i do ?Marek from LOWW

That says it all!. No matter what programe I use for FS9, and I tried them all, FE, AS6,GEpro. I get stutters with clouds. MY frames stay at about 30 fps but stutters with the clouds. I mean I using the lowest possible clouds and still stutter. When I turn on clear all weather its smooth flying. I've tryed running with the least amount of services and programs running. What gets me the most is Ive set up my buddys computer , which is less than mine and he gets 40fps with max clouds and very smooth.Im loosing my hair (which I don't have a lot of to begin with.I guess it flying with no weather for me, BobAMD Athon 64 3500+VeniceAN8 DeluxeNVIDIA nfo…

Hi folksThis is my first post on this forum. I've been picking up a lot of very useful information browsing through your contributions over the last couple of weeks. I have a couple of basic questions and would be most grateful if anyone could help.1) Where is FS9.cfg located? I have searched the Program Files directories high and low and just cannot find it.2) A lot of you are quoting various FPS rates and some of the screen shots show text information at the top of the screen. I'd like to purchase one or the other, but would value some user input first. I run FS9 mostly, but have FSX installed as well.

On my SMS MD-11 the autothrottle speed fluctuates quite a bit until you reach over 10,000-12,000 feet then it steadies out. It seems like it's trying to hone in on the pre-set speed (usually 250 IAS)Same occurs on descent. On my other aircraft it seems fairly constant throughout climb, cruise, descent. Is there a setting in the aircraft.cfg [autothrottle] section that controls the speed stability?Thanks

Up until now I haven't thought about using mesh. But now that I am I have a question. Lets say I am using a mesh for northern Italy and I have addon airport scenery for that same area. should the mesh be above or below the airport scenery in the scenery library? Or does it even matter?
