Gang,We're in the process of working with the Avsim library staff to upload a new file set for our freeware 120.I initially uploaded a zipped version directly out of my FS9 directory which had 2 of Steve D's and Daniel H's repaints in them. I had included everyone on the project in the readme but forgot to put them all in the Avsim description part of the library.The new file will be an .exe file with no liveries as originally intended so that various authors besides Steve and Daniel could then add to so as to keep everything more administrativly seperate and clear.Don't forget that this is merely a continuation of the promise we made to Erick to make the base model free…

Hi:Although I have being using FS9 since 2004, I am quite new to this forum (not to the Avsim community/web site) and I am not sure this topic was discussed before.I was wondering if anyone has run into bumpy runways during landing and departing. The airports that have these bumps that I know are Seattle Intl. (WA), Portland Intl. (OR), San Jose Intl. (CA), Houston Hobby (TX), but I am sure there might be others. This is very annoying since the landing gear does not retract after hitting these bumps during takeoffs, and it collapses after hitting the bumps during landings.Does anyone know how to fix this?Thanks to all.Ariel:-hmmm

Hiya allI found this little gem of a program this morning while browsing the file library. It does exactly like it says on the tin, it calculates the derates for a variety of Airliners. The biggest bonus for me is it can actually get the loaded weights of the aircraft from flightsim using FSUIPC.Now for a question, Anyone else using this program? I only ever seem to fly the level-d 767-300 and the PMDG 747-400 both with FS2Crew. Utopia comes with a performance file for the level D but nothing for the 747. I got the SN3308, the ST3400, and the FlightLine T/N lines.First off, I'll start with the ST3400...For those that don't know what it is, it's a Terrain Avoidance and Warning System (TAWS). In real-time it reads the mesh around you ( whether default mesh or third-party addon, it reads it in real-time ) and has a few modes. You can just display terrain ( color-coded based on elevation ). Hello, Need help from a fellow simmer. I was playing around with KDEN and installed some extra things eye candy at my KDEN Airfield which while flying my LEVEL-D 767 into KDEN the other night from KLAX I got a memory error which I believe has something to do with the altering of KDEN... I started flight simming again after many years away with fsx, but was a bit dissapointed with fps of 15 or so. Went back and bought a fs2004 package for 20 bucks, and it's running well over 40 fps. I do notice that fsinn drastically affects the fps, but still hovering around 30 or so when it is running.Im sticking with FS9 until I go out and get a e6800 one day, and can use the DX10 platform.Plus, the number of addons for FS9 are astonishing. While checking the Flight Factory Simulation site yesterday, I noticed that their Saab 340 is being sold at a reduced price until January 1. I've been considering this plane (though it doesn't look as accurately modeled as Erick's Embraer EMB-120). Maybe now I'll buy.John

I believe ge pro just highlights the effect rather than causes it but i'm just curious to hear if anyone sees it. I've read several explanations regarding the rendering of scenery textures beyond a certain distance and it kind of makes sense. However, i'm sure i didn't notice the effect when i first installed ge pro - it's sort of "crept" up on me. I've tried disabling all scenery that's been installed post ge pro but to no avail. Hi all,In the original FS9, Amsterdam airport (EHAM) did not yet have the runway 18R/36L. However, since it's launch this (5th) runway has been built and is included in, amongst others, the fantastic addon NL2000 Netherlands scenery, as is the related AFCAD data which also includes the ILS. All is working well with AI/user aircraft etc. but a single problem remains and that is: When making an ATC approach to this new runway myself, ATC only gives visual approach instructions while the (AFCAD) ILS etc. is in fact present and can be used normally.ATC evidently does recognize the presence of the new runway but not the related ILS, probably because something is missing in the…

Hello, Im looking for a AFCAD that uses duel runways, proper assigned gates & that has GA parking for the default KSEA. I have searched through the avsim files and seems that none have GA parking, so when I fly into or out of KSEA I have GA aircrafts parked at the gates. I have downloaded several repaints for the Carenado skylane 182Q from avsim.When I go to virtual cockpit the ATC id strip (dymo tape!) does not show the correct tail number. Anyone Know how to change/delete this gauge?

Is it possible in FS9 to have the clock track the actual time at the location, and not just count forward from the time of departure?What I mean is, if I take off from KDFW at 4 PM to EGLL, I should arrive at EGLL in the morning around 6 AM.Usually, I'm arriving there and its night time.I hope my question makes sense.

Starting yesterday i have a problem starting fs9error report;Your computer has run out of available memory. FS will now exit. You may not have enough free space on your HD. Are there any programs that install an in-game interface in the plane so you can play music from your computer without having to minimize FS9, open the song you want, then bring FS9 back up?If there isn't - there should be.

When I first became a Flight Simmer about 6 months ago my very first non default/downloaded aircraft was this excellent Hawker Hurricane from the Avsim Library. I treasured that plane like no other, printed the excellent manual in colour and think I even memorized it. Now that I have the Real Air Spitfire I would love to get the Hurricane again. My former installation is gone now with my old computer and I can't find the file here anywhere in the Library despite many searches.Does anyone know if and where it can be found? I can't get this to run properly. When I click on the icon, nothing happens. The wizard doesn't appear. When I run it in a command box with parameters like /config and setting, it works. But not in Windows.I disabled my spyware, still it doesn't run properly. I know it is off the beaten path to post it in this forum, but since this is where I hang out I thought I would share this with all of my AVSIM friends.My wife loves me enough to have purchased me a flight on a T-6 Texan for Christmas. :)After flying the Spitfire around KADS for the last 4 days it will be a real treat to actually ride in the trainer that taught so many great aviators. The real Flight will also be from KADS in Addison TX. Hopfully I can talk the pilot into making me sick:)I will share pictures from the flight upon completion.
