I thought that I would post this question before reinstalling FS9. I was able to create different CFG files for different AC after setting all of the options for my controllers following Dave Roch's tutorial. All was fine until my HD started going bad.So I reinstalled FS9 on a new HD and copied all of my files to the new drive instead of reinstalling them, as that would have been a big and long process.Now when attempting to do the same with different CFG's, after making all the assignments, exiting the sim, renaming the CFG and placing it into the FS9 root system and creating the shortcut, on using the new shortcut, the sim launches into the DEFAULT FS9 CFG instead of us…

When I fly the Baron 58 in the lessons I'm told that I need to continously adjust the mp. And the mp is indeed changing by changed altitude both in the default and DF Baron 58. But in the FSD Navajo Panther I don't see this. Does this mean that the FSD panther is lacking in realism here?

Hey, Everyone Yesterday i was talking to one of my good friends and he seemed quite upset. When i asked him what was wrong he told me he bought the Carenado Cessna Centurion II 210M two or three weeks back and he recently had to reformat his computer and he can no longer redownload his purchase even though he had three more downloads of the product do to Carenado not returning his e-mails he's already sent two additonal e-mails with in the last week.Normally i would just mind my own business but seeing how he's one of my closes friends i took it apon myself to help him. Anyway is anyone else having issues contacting Carenado via e-mail?regards,Ryan

Hi, Having a problem with this Planned a flight,pawg to pakw. This is short flight. I know the garmin can't do everything but I set up my flight got up to about 1000 ft, switched on autopilot, gps swith but simulator did not react. I think I added correct info. into garmin as tutorial stated. Is there someone to say what I have done wrong? Thank you.

Hi all,For some reason, tonight when I loaded FS9, the views began to switch without any input from me. The aircraft loads in the 2D cockpit, then cycles to the 3D, then to the tower view, then spot view, back to the 2D and keeps repeating. I tried loading a different aircraft, moving to a different airport, but it made no difference. I also went back to an FS9 cfg file that I saved as a backup, but that didn't help either.I haven't done anything to the computer or my installation of FS9 since I shut it down last night. Whenever I fly this aircraft, my screen freezes for sometimes 10 seconds or more at at time. MOST disconcerting when attempting to land!Anyone else have this problem? It happens quite often. It always happens when I change views, and just flying....Thanks.Navy Chief

Hi all, in my search for even more AI I revisited rats (Russian AI Traffic System). The site has some English pages, but no models. Also some less than clear translations.... Still, I dowloaded some textures and flightplans and found that the read me files contain directions on where to get the models. They even provide the entire http address which you can cut and paste. So if you've exhausted PAI and WoAI, try rats. I must admit I avoided Russia and related areas because there was so little traffic, but these guys have a lot to offer. I wish all the dev's would give it some consideration to jumping on the FSX bandwagagon so soon. FS9 still has a lot of life in it. Besides, in my opinion, of all the people converting to the next FS I think the FS9-FSX conversion will take the longest by far. Hi,installed the good ol' CS B-707 again with triple (CIVA) INS, my modded panel and all the goodies. It sure is a great bird, the 707, reminds me of my first transatlantic flight when I was, oh, about 12 or so. :)Anyway, I would dearly like to get a decent checklist for the 707. The thing that comes with CS's bird is unusable. Found Matt Zagoren's perf files (which are great, btw) here at AVSIM and an actual checklist over at "all nodes busy" but none of them are what I am really after: a decent, thorough B-707 checklist starting in a dark&cold 'pit.Any ideas where to find one? Anybody besides me wish Richard Goldstein (Georender) would return to doing his individual airports instead of the wide area scenery that he has focused on in the past year or so? (or maybe do both if possible?)Richards work I consider to be the very best out there in terms of scenery design (no disrespect to others.) I just love his Brice Canyon, Emma Field, Orca Island, Sultan S86, Ranger Creek, Chelan Municipal, etc. They add huge immersion to my GA flying. Fantastic stuff. Hi,I am researching what products are best to get to add a bit more realism to my FS9 experience. I think I will get Ground Environment Pro but I need a good landclass/mesh to go with it. Can anyone recomend anything? I want one that will cover the whole world but Europe and Asia are the most important parts for me as most of my flying is done in asia with SQ but I will try a few long hauls to Europe soon. So anything that covers these areas and the Russia/Mid East bit in between would be good. North and South America would be a bonus but not essential. Is there an all-in-one pack that covers the whole world?Thanks for any advice.Andy S

I just want to share this amusing flight with you all.I decided I wanted to do some FSing about. So, I downloaded the latest weather with AS6 and looked for precipitation. Hey, snow and 1.75 mile visibility at KLAR. Cool! Smaller airfield, so I took my DF ATR-72.No ILS. Hmmmm. Decided to use the nearby VOR with a slight offset to target Runway 12. I have been flying with mesh lately, good payware stuff too...and wow the the terain looks great...then I get to my airport...default mind you, and it is sitting up on a cliff. In real life ,and default terrain, there is no precarious cliff around this airport(KRAP). I don't know if the trade off is worth it for me. I know there are lots of airports that aren't like this, but they aren't usually in the beautiful high terrain parts of the world.I'm sure there are posts about this already but I guess my search expertise isn't that great, because I didn't find much about this. I puchased as payware, now freeware AVSIM.Fine Fine model.Enhacements:Import Garmin GPS295 to cfg.Import GPS switch position just to right of Display/Hide Floor Panel.Import Nav/GPS switch to right of GPS switch. (Note: Position label will not be available unless the Panel is modified.) Copy and fit switch position to cfg file to right of Nav/GPS.Nice to have GPS and all A/P functions.Radio/Nav stack is from C208B.Including A/P and Heading Hold function.Heading Hold not operable due to mid 60's antique VOR.Attitude gyro colorful but not visible in 3D.Import from 208B both attitude gyro and VOR.Result is visible attitude gyro in 3D.And Heading Hold in A/P.

A little less than a week ago I purchased the latest version FS Enhancer 2004 directly from LAGO at their website. Immediately following my purhcase it was stated (after completion of my payment confirmation) that LAGO would email me my ID and registration code within 24hours, nothing happened, so after the 24 hours had expired, I posted an inquiry through their on-site support forum. Hello all :)I've decided to buy some bizzjets from Eaglesoft. I note they have two download options for each plane - FS9 or FSX.I have FS9 & FSX insalled. Of course I would just like to buy just one version of each of the planes Im interested in whihc brings me to my main query:Can I use the FSX versions of their planes in FS9 or will they not work at all in the older sim? I did search their site for this info but it is not in their FAQ.Thanks much :)
