Hi allIs it possible to exlude third party addon scenery odjects the same way as excluding microsoft default objects via the scenery cfgCheers

Recently, I downloaded the all the resized texture from the avsim to make the flight smoother and gain FPS. However, FS2004 crashed to desktop when started to descend. Then I reminded that it had a note to use Render to Texture to avoid error. Then I used the Render to Texture and the FS2004 was not crashed anymore. Does it mean that I have to use Render to Texture, so the CTD was caused by other factors not related to the Render To Texture.Also, will the texture crash to Activesky's own texture

I am assuming if I use the 'soft horizons' mod files here in the AVSIM library that I will lose my FE selected sky tesxtures. Would I be right?Thanks,Glenn

For a very modest price you got an updated panel that is "work in progress" and access to the updates as they are released. I have implemented all the tweaks found on various sites in a futile attempt to turn FSX into a viable simulator that would at least match my beefed-up FS9: to no avail! Before stuffing the FSX box in a remote corner, I have been wondering if any of the rare goodies of the new software could be brought into FS9. As far as I know, it does not work for complete airplanes, but sound files are no problem. I rename the FS9 sound file and replace it by a copy of the corresponding FSX file. Thus, I can enjoy, for instance, the excellent sounds of the FSX Beaver which surpass even that of the Aerosoft FS9 Beaver. Same for the Lear, the Piper and so on. I was wondering if other "r…

I had my first episode of our old friend today since installing on my new computer...:( (I have been free of that error for over four months now)...I was on final to the beautiful KPDX...and about 6 mile final after a 3 hour flight...and bammmm...!!! Isn't that a bummer. I bet if I flew the whole thing again I wouldn't get that error again. I guess that is why the CTD thing is so frustrating...so random. I have a problem with the PM2 Concorde. Can anyone kindly advise me?When I increase the throttle, I get quite reasonable afterburner flame effects, but the tail/logo light also comes on, flashing on and off every second or so. When I turn the throttle down, the logo light goes out.I thought I'd be able to fix this somewhere in the lights section of the aircraft.cfg file, assuming that a strobe light somewhere was the cause, but I can't find a relevant entry and even deleting the whole lights paragraph doesn't make any difference to the tail light.Anyone know where the logo light is defined and how I can detach it from the throttle? When flying VFR I can get the ATIS info about 80 miles from the airport. I'm not able to request a full stop landing from ATC until about 20 miles from the airport. Is this realistic in real world procedures? It seems a little late and hurried to position the aircraft that close to the airport.

I tried to change the power value on the default Cessna 172 aircraft.cfg to 20 hp instead of 180...well nothing happen..maybe now is even more "spirited" than usual....the only thing changed is that the full power engine sound is reached already when you barely move the throttle....how this works??? Hi there guys, I have been having a problem for a while with FS2004, my frame rates were really bad, flying aircraft with complex panels was a nightmare. This weekend I took the cover off my PC, took the CPU fan out and blew right down the side of it. Huge lumps of dust came out, so I cleaned it up and put it back in.Since then my FS2004 has been perfect again, I can now have 100% AI Traffic (Ultimate Traffic) at big scenery airports like Heathrow Pro, and have all the sliders in the settings maxed out to the right.My computer only has 1GB Memmory and Nvidia FX5500 Graphics card, and I dont need to shut down running services or anything.I know this has probably been menti…

Looking to find an 'in-between' (35nm) visibility slider setting, but can't see where it is in the fs9.cfg file.Any ideas?

Before coupling pc's together in a network using WideView I want to run a simpel test. I.e. connecting a second monitor to the extra analog outlet of my videocard. It works fine. I can drag an icon from my desktop to the second monitor and I can drag every application to the second monitor as long as it is not maximized. But I cannot drag a new window in FS9 to the second monitor. It bumps against the edge of the screen. I suppose that I have to undock the window first, but that's the problem. That menu option is grey, not black so I cannot select it.What am I doing wrong? And other tips?

i had gotton some of there earlier stuff and have all uninstalled it, the long loading of the scenery when your about 10 miles or so out on final, just about drove me nuts. really killed the imersion factor for mejust wondering if there new stuff (MYNN, KCLT, KCVG) does this still or have they improved it?thanksciao!Brian S

How is the ultimate airliners md-80 compared with level d or pmdg? Are the systems and gauges accurate? Is the ons as i believe it is called simulated well? Are the sounds right, such as engines packs etc.? Are all of the systems functional, if not which one are not? How is the system logic, will the gear and flaps extend or retract with low hyd psi, will the engine start without sufficent air pressure, can the engies be damaged by ice, is hot start simulated, does the egt drop realistically or does it drop instantly when the engines are turned off, will the flight controls move just as fast even without hyd psi? Hi fellow captains,Lately I've seen a very strange thing a couple of times now...all of a sudden FS9 just quits by itself and throws me back to the desktop with no error messages no nothing - never had this problem before. And when I look at the processes running in Task Manager there's no FS9.exe there so it really quits!Anyone else seen this?

Hi guys,i've just redownloaded the iFly 747 and my frames are usable now with the service packs. However,i recall some fixes to improve performance further. Does anyone know if anymore work will be done on it? There are awfully few repaints for it and flight dynamics could be improved. Anyone knows if there are more mods/fixes that can be doen to improve it? Merge with Posky model? I'm also looking out for a SID STAR database for it. I believe that it follows the PMDG AIRAC. Can i use the demo 0609 AIRAC for PMDG/LDS by Navigraph too? its the most comprehensive freeware one around.I'm hoping some more people can come around to help improve the iFly experience.
