I would appreciate your help with this seemingly simple matter.As I was reading the gmax tutorial on how to model an airplane, I noticed that the left viewport shows a P-38 in profile as seen from the right. At first I thought that this was simply a minor mistake made while they were making the help file in which the tutorial is stored. But wait, there's more.I am reading Kelly Murdock's gmax Bible. In Chapter 2, page 57 when discussing loading images to be used as backgrounds on the viewports to aid in the modeling process the Left viewport shows the unmistakable right side of the swan.I also bought a collection of model from TurboSquid. Saw the announcement on the front page. Looks very interesting. I know GA airports aren't always in such high demand with all the heavy iron drivers. I love GA flying, especially around California, so I might have to check this out. The only real question is framerates. It certainly doesn't look like anything that would bring FPS down, but you never know. Anyone got it? Opinions?

Hi all, in the pursuit of relentless perfection, to quote the old lexus commercials, i have one last problem i need to solve with my fs9 setup. I have a lot of complicated add on sceneries like Aerosoft's Frankfurt, Simflyers KATL, the awesome KBOS freeware scenery (the author's name escapes me right now). Anyway with all these sceneries I run full 100% AI (Ultimate Traffic) with all sliders to the right, I also use ASV6, and radar contact. With all these applications I have fluid performance with my favorite aircraft the PMDG 747-400. The only place in the whole sim where i have stutters is at KORD with the default scenery. Hello allI was wondering if anyone knew of the way you can alter the cfg file to reduce the spool up time (lag time) for a turbine powered aircraft. I fly these for a living and its my humble opinion that the sim exaggerates the effect. That is to say, there is far too much delay between the application of power and the resulting thrust.I made this change a couple years ago but now I've forgotten what it was.I would appreciate any help.Thanks

Hello Everyone.I currently have an FS2002 installation and i was looking for some aircraft add-ons. I tried to filter the FS2002 compatible aircraft (from FS2002 Original Aircraft) but had zero results. I then tried to search with the type of the aircraft i was looking for and got many results of airplanes originally built for FS2004 with a note saying "It will probably work in FS2002").My question is:Are there huge incompatibilities between FS2202 and FS2004 as far as Aircraft model definition is concerned? I'm reposting and asking for help... please. I can't download from PAI afcad. I get a "Forbidden Access on this Server" msg. I CAN dowload from their main page, but not from "searched" AFCADS. Never had this in the past. Any ideas? What I'm trying to get is the AF2 for UUEE Sheremetyevo by Kristof Savski (scenery by David V.). I finally found an Air France A330 (they're not that easy to locate) but when it loads up the texture is like super shiney and seems to overlay what it SHOULD look like. Hard to describe but the logo, etc is kind of washed out and overlayed with some kind of really shiny texture. Instead of the white area showing as white it almost shows as silver. Maybe something wrong with the textures? The KLM plane in the same aircraft folder shows up just fine. Any ideas?

Bottle Necks and long traffic jams are impossible to prevent no Matter how good your AFCAD may be.Is there any way to get AI aircraft to just taxi through other AI aircraft sense FS ATC lacks ground handling capability? I'd dont mind the urealistic flow of ground traffic at ,major airports just as long as my AI planes can arrive and depart the gates without getting stuck. After seeing all of the excellent reviews and opinions on this aircraft, I decided to give it a shot. I really like the aircraft itself, the effects, and the excellent VC. I am however really annoyed by the flight model. It handles like a brick and it is unable to forward slip. I have played with my settings, but I am about ready to give up. Have I missed something in this department, or am I just spoiled by the flight models of Steve Small & Rob Young?I am sure someone will ask this... no I have never flown a real Do-27. However I am referring to basic flight model issues, and not a by the numbers complaint specific to this aircraft.Any thoughts or help would b…

Hello AllI was wondering what AA does.Am i right in saying that it makes the higgly jiggly of the scenery as you fly over it slightly less pronounced? (Thats what i feel it does).There is one thing it definitely does do..it makes FSNav a bugger to use.Cheers Andy

i have the pmdg ng and like it but i want something different, something not all glass, im thinking of getting the ft 737, just wanted to know how it compares. like in the flight model, are the going to "feel" the same? are the fps's worse? or same? how about in cockpit sounds. i was watching some in cockpit sounds on flight level 350 and noticed how noisy everything is - i wish this would be duplicated better..any advice, would be niceciao!Brian S

HiCould someone please tell me how do you find the above info when flight planning.I use radar contact 4 and it requires landing runway at setup-I normally choose the one in my flight direction-but the winds can be from any directions.As most rc4 user know rc4 does not offer alternate runway in favourof wind directions.Hopefully prior wind knowledge will help me choose the appropiate runway at destination airport.Qas :-0

I know that MicroSoft has discontinued multiuser for FS9 which is a shame since I just bought the package. Happily as of now I like the package (FS9) better than the new FSX version.Does anyone know how I can set up FS9 to do multi player over the net with others? I mean since Microsoft discontinued Multiplayer the (normal?) way it was set up as FS9 comes out of the box?Thanks!Monty HowardN9ZN

Hi,I am having CTD,S when bringing up the default map view over Buenos aires,nearing approach to LIMC,and in other area,s that seem more random.What would cause a map view CTD? I tried to email him using the address in the readme file but keep getting the email returned as "unable to deliver". Hello AllI like the IFDG airbuses BUT! Why are they so slow to draw in there textures?I was flying a rather nice Qatar airlines 320 all was well till i came in to land in a thunderstorm and then as you switch views and come to spot view you have a greyed out model for a second or two and its horrible.I don't get this with the various Boeing's i have including default, and default with repaints, FFX(i think)also no probs and they look good to.Its just IFDG.Which is a shame.I have tried fiddling around with a program that converts between different texture types (DXT3 etc)but as yet no joy haven't worked it out yet and only succeeded in turning an Air Asia 320 grey(For tran…
