Is there any software or freeware that enables you to add runways to places that don't have them like islands and such?

Anyone's using this scenery in PMDG or Level-D planes? How is it? I have a very strong rig and my other sceneries (not that big though) are all maxed out. Do you think I'll have to compromise my Extremely Dense settings for MegaFranfurt? The heaviest scenery I have atm is Visual Flight London. Flying Eeaglsoft BJ400 out of EGLC in the west direction @ strong 25 fps. Scenery @ Extremely Dense, Dynamic is @ Very Dense. What can I expect in MegaFrankfurt in PMDG's B744 @ the same settings? Thinking to buy it, I know it is good, but smooth flying is even better. Core2 Extreme, 2GB RAM, GF7900GTX here.ASVe, GEPro might be a factor as well, but those are untouchables.Thanks.

Is it possible to use Fs2004 Multiplayer on GameSpy, and if so. How?

I have recently suffered an amazing number of CTD's, crashes of FS9, and OUT OF MEMORY errors on my XPS running FS9 with no utilities, internet connections, AV, etc. It's a clean PC and used exclusively for FS9; up till now, it has performed superbly and smoothly. I recently installed GROUND ENVIRONMENT off CD-ROM from Flight1 (not Ground Environment PRO) and wonder if this is a contributing factor or maybe even the cause of any of the CTDs and OUT OF MEMORY incidents. What do you think? Is there an easy or safe way to uninstal GE to test whether it has been the cause of this stuff ?Thanks for any posts, advice, info, etc.JS

Guys, I messed with FE and GEPro settings and finally have lost the sun disk at all. Amazing there are numerous settings for different sky, clouds, water and ground themes but no sun variations. Please advise where I can look for the day sun alternatives. But first please let me know how to see it back in the sky on a sunny day.Thanks.(Is it just halo.bmp? I was wondering if anyone has examined the AI traffic settings. I notice a serious performance boost when I lower the AI %. Normally I had been running it at 100%, but since dropping it got a huge order of magnitude better in frame rates, which is to be expected.However, I find that the percentages that are offered are misleading. Take for instance me being at Houston Hobby. At full AI I would see 6-8 southwest aircraft parked. However, when I drop the % to 97, 98, 99 percent, I lose at least 3 of those parked aircrafts. It seems as though there is no middle ground. Even going down to 95% the same amount of traffic disappears.Is there a way to adjust how many flights FS9 …

Guy's in order to assign a key to lower to stairs on the 737-700where do I go for the key assignment. I checked the PMDG 737NG/747-400Keyboard Assignment there was nothing there protaining to the Concordnose, or did I over look something ??? if not Where do I find the keyassignment to lower the stairsAlvin

I was wondering if it is possible to install CFS3 on the same drive and partition that my current setup of FS2004 resides without causing any problems. I've read about cfg. files getting changed and other problems with the FSX install so if anybody out there has done this with CFS3, please let me know how it went.Kim

I notice when I'm holding for takeoff, the aircaft in front of me will not taxi in position when the inbound aircraft is cleared to land by ATC, this is usually about 7nm outside the inner-marker (way too far). In real-world ops aircraft are cleared to land about 3nm outside the threshold (even shorter in some cases) while another aircraft is on takeoff roll on the same runway. Okay my question is this, is there any way to shorten the distance for landing clearences so the holding aircaft are able to taxie onto the active faster? I am not sure what the best way to g oabout his so I figured I would ask people that know. I have built a new computer, Mother board up and its a Duo Core 2 2.4 with 2gigs of ram and Nvidia Geforce 7900gtko video card and I ahve had it along with my original C: drive 40 gig Western Digital drive and when I built this a few months back I was able to keep the C drive and all my stuff but now I have two extra drives, both serial ATA Seagate drives , one 160 G and one 300 G and my old C drive has only 2 Gigs left so I would like to move everything or take FS9 and all the addons and move it to another drive or just change my c: drive with one of the newer one and I am not sur…

I have the aeroworx b200 and am looking into another ga plane that is as good or better, is the Cheyenne up to par?How are the systems, are there consequences for bad piloting, such as hot starts or engine outs, flap/gear failure? Are all the systems fully simulated and buttons pushable? How is the exterior detail, is prop feather animation simulated as in the b200? Are engine sounds and thrust linked to prop rpm and not throttle position? Are all of the vc buttons pushable? How are the gauge refresh rates in the vc compared to the b200, because in the b200 they are very smooth. And lastly are the vc gauges more appealing than in the pictures, they dont have a sharp…

Hi,I just wanted to point your attention to version 3.1 of Thomas Nilsson's Saab Draken. Even if you aren't a fan of military aircraft, this is a plane that is so much fun to fly. If you like complex and functional systems and avionics, this one must be in your hangar. Excellent flight dynamics as well. Oh, and did I mention the excellent VC already?It is hard to imagine how much time Thomas must have spent on this package. It is definitely comparable with the best payware planes I am aware of. I have been using FS9 since the day it was released with no problems...until this week. For some reason the sim stutters constantly, especially when making sharp turns or going over 150 KIAS or so. I have shut down all unnecessary programs, run my anti-virus, spyware, etc, and made sure that all applicable drivers are up to date. It does not matter which aircraft I use or where I fly, it happens all of the time, even in the default 172, and I have not installed anything new for at least a month. The only change I have made was an upgrade (or downgrade in my opinion) to IE7, but the sim did not stutter for the first month that I had it installed, it just started this week.…

I have been trying to set up realistic parking gates everytime I venture to a new airport. However, when I arrive at the airport that I have assigned certain airlines to gates, I always seem to end up in a differnt airlines area. Like for instance I have gotten the gates assigned properly at Tampa International, which Southwest has its own terminal. However, when I fly there, I am put in the A concourse everytime. Is there a way that my aircraft will go to the assigned airlines gate, rather than what is prioritized in AFCAD?

I wonder if anyone has done a serious analysis of how FS9 and FSX work with windows Vista? I am interested as a mid range PC user, if I should leave my XP install alone or upgrade. Would be great if somebody would write an article on upgrade/migrating to Vista and how and why one should do it.I have 5 PC's on a network in my house and mine of course is the mother ship. Am interested also in the network capabilities of Vista with other Windows OS's. As always, I will probably hold off on Vista til I see some tangible benefit.
