I always end a flight by selecting "Exit" (bottom choice), instead of "End Flight. I then, later could select "Previous Flight" and FS2004 would tale me right back where I "ended" my flight. (on the ground or in the air, flying}. Something has changed. Now after closing a flight with "exit" then later comming back with "previous fight, FS2004 takes me back to the START of that flight instead of the end of the flight like it used to??????? Anyone know what might have happened and/or how to get it back to the end of the flight when "previous flight is selected, later? Thanks, jerry

Hi Gang.I am looking for some help, as I have somehow managed to mess something up.I used to be able to have all of my engines start up in sequence one after the other, when using a key assignment set up in FS9. (I use the "]" key for auto-start,)but now when I press the key, all four engines start up at once.I know you can select a single engine etc, but this was very useful during push-back to have them start up one at a time.I am confused as to why this is happening, and would welcome any suggestions.Many Thanks.

hi , is it possible to configure my CH yoke for differents types of airplanes? like i fly the dash 8 and i have it set in a way (props + throttle) . but once i switch for example to the LEVEL D or any other jet the throttle is not responding to my imputs...how can i resolve that? Henry. CYXT

Hi Gang.I am posting this for those of you that might have missed, it's a Fantastic free utility from the Fabulous guy's over at Flight 1.if you like, it's a simple mans active camera so to speak.I have just used it for the first time this evening, and I love it.use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in / out in spot view / tower view etc, and use the shift key while scrolling to move the eye point up or down.then use the ctrl key while using the mouse scroll wheel to move your eye-point left or right.it's fantastic, great fun to use, and you can pretty much zoom as much as you like, great for walk-around checks too. below is the link to the web site, with the utility marked …

Hello Group!I know that I can play multiplayer on FS9 or so I have been told.The lingering question is exactly how is this done? I am hoping to do EGCC-OMDB tomorrow and was wondering if there is any freeware scenery for Manchester airport? I did a search in the file library and of the forums and didnt come up with much.CheersAndy S

I read someplace that it is good to delete all of these files after you install scenery and let fs rebuild it all to prevent ctd's is there any truth to this?

I can't hear any voices in ATC, when I go to Settings / Air Traffic Control / Pilot voice, the drop down list for voices is blank. Can anyone tell me where the files should be in FS2004 and also where I can find them on the CD?

My FS9 "tower view" does not work properly.I am still fighting the battles trying to get my FS9 back up & running after a hard drive problem. I restored my backup FS9 directory, after installing and formatting a new hard drive (Note: I have FS9 on a different drive than my Win XP Pro). Of course, I then had to go back and install FS9 all over again, as XP had to get everything it uses rebuilt (DLL's, etc.). I am not sure what the heck happened, but after finally getting everything back up and running (all add-ons - scenery, airplanes, etc., etc.), I still have one problem which confounds me. I was flying A343 at FL330, the wind was fluctuating from 259/118(Tail) to 320/28(Head), as it kept changing, sometimes the A/C over-speed, finally the A/C overstessed when the wind JUMP to 330/49.So what should I do in the fluctuating condition

Greetings. I downloaded and installed the Piaggio Avanti 180 and have had many odd problems. When trying to load the plane I get 'A330, A320, etc... gauges cannot load' messages. Then the planes won't load. Also, I removed it from my system and there were gauges missing from the stock Cessna 172 and 182, which I recovered from #2 disc. Are there known problems with this aircraft with FS2004? Should it be installed into a temp folder and manually moved to FS2004? Thanks in advance for any thoughts or assistance. Miller

Jim, you really helped me out explaining what the different numbers mean in the Panel.cfg.This was in my post "Placing A Radio Stack."I figured out the second string in the window_pos 0.000, "0.000" moves the gauge downward. I guess that is the correct, isn't it?Wonder if you would be so kind as to give me the definition of the numbers in the window_size? Or--should this be left alone?Thanks in advance

Hi guys,i recently bought the Overland Airbus package for FS2004 and i have noticed that one panel of the speedbrakes on the Airbus models (A319/A320/A321) stays down when deployed, and this occurs on the starboard wing only. I cannot find anything to explain this and i have searched the FS community forums but i have not found anybody with a similar problem!! ??Can anybody be kind enough to suggest what may be wrong or does anyone know of this issue and maybe if there is a fix??Any help much appreciated!!Cheers,Gaz.

Hi.anyone know how to contact Hans Hartmann at all please.I have a question that I would like to ask him about the program, and I am somewhat confused.does anyone know if he's still around.Fantastic program by the way, if you keep having some FS9.1 crashes, and you know it's not a graphic card driver issue, check out your scenery config file, start at the bottom, and see if your scenery numbers match the scenery layer numbers.if they don't, simply run this program and it will sort them out.I used to have random crashes, and Michael from FS-GS told me to get this program and run it, and low and behold, problem sorted.

I got one of those windows updates recently. I clicked on it and it was preparing the install shield. I found out it was for IE7. I heard that IE7 somehow screws up FS9, I don't know how so I cancelled the installation. I started up FS9 and everything is normal without the installation of IE7. I was just wondering if that install shield would do something later to the program even though I cancelled the installation. I guess I could system restore it but I sure would like some info. I don't like microsoft having to put updates like that. It's fine for Windows XP updates for SP2 but I do wish they wouldn't put the IE7 up like that though. If people want it they s…

Hello all,I was flying the lds 767 today and just after an uninstall and re-install of ge proII the frames would behave strange. Normally I get 35 fps locked at 35, but now the frames drop to 19 when im looking out of the window of the aircraft at the airport (runways, taxiways, and the building itself.) Once I look at the overhead or look down so the windscreen in not insight the fps return to a silky 35. I ran filemon and observed that the pc would access a bunch of textures and some ultimate terrain files and other various fs things when the fps drop occurs. Any ideas on whats causing this, gosh im so sick of these bizarre problems.

Hi allI have been trying to work out how to use the exclude line in the scenery cfg file to remove some objects but its a little confusing.I have looked at the Microsoft page on flatten and excluding but the bottom example shown has a different area layout than the area file lines in the 2004 scenery cfg file.Does anyone here have a better description on how to go about excluding scenery objects and can any object be excluded or is it only Microsoft default scenery objects Thanks
