Hi,I have been having problems with my PSS 777 and I think it is becaue my default flight has been changed. I have the correct cessna but all switches, engine etc are OFF.My question is how can I reset my default flight/aircraft to the correct one,like it is when FS9 is installed for the first time? Is there a utility that will do this or do I have to do it manually? (Did a quick search and couldnt find anything)Thanks for any help.Andy S

I know...there's only about a 100 of these tweaks around :-roll Ok, here's what has been working great for me lately: converting aircraft textures from 32-bit or DXT 3 to DXT 1. I get great outside views load times with no stutters, and I've seen around a 5 fps jump. I don't usually use the VC, and if the plane looks OK from the outside that is all I care about. Not for those who want great looking planes as the quality will decrease. I run a P4 3.0, 1GB, and GeForce 5700LE. I just did a conversion of the textures for the Wilco CRJ200 for the outside textures. I went from 26 MB of total texture size to 5.4 MB with the conversion. The program I use is a DXT-bm…

maybe this has been done before, if it is, im not aware of any, i keep reading on the web of real world events of real fly-ins etc at xyz airport on so and so date.i would love to see an addon for a specific airport that would have tons of ga traffic coming in about the same time, simulating a flyin, then i the user/player could flyin at the same time as well, i just think it would be kinda fun. i know you can do this for "real" getting and flying together online, but so many of those i find, not very many people show up, i would love to see a flyin by the droves, like a hundred or so.. any ai addon that does this? or how difficult would it be to put some ai flightplans …

I was wondering why searching the FS9 forum was producing so few results, so just in case anyone else hasn't cottoned on to this, the FSX forum is the old FS9 forum and the FS9 forum is fairly new. So if you're doing an advanced search for an FS9 problem search the FSX forum as well. John

Hi People,Since some weeks i have extrem problems with the FS 2004. I am planning a route and as i set my time to the Dept. Time - the FS quits completely. What is happening. I've just dug out the Wilco/Feelthere CRJ and wanted to merge the Wilco CRJ900 with the Project Opensky CRJ900 as there seem to be no repaints available for the Wilco model.I've managed to match the contact points of the POSKY model with the Wilco flight dynamics. The only problem is the nose gear bounces up and down on the ground and results in a crash. I just slewed the aircraft straight into the air and tried a landing, which was beautiful right up until the nosegear touched the runway and the aircraft crashed.Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Any help from people who are more experienced merging different aircraft would be greatly appreciated.Cheers!

Hmm sticky one here,I have two addon sceneries for a coinciding area, Hamburg. Both provide a replacement LC bgl for "LC 050 012". The question is : which do I use? If I put one higher it the scenery index it will override the other? Is that right? If they have the same title I guess so. Could I rename one, and if I did would that cause them to overlap? If I do rename one, do I place it lower or higher in the scenery index? The prob here is Hamburg City Scenery and East Friesland Scenery, both of which contain the file referenced above. Right now I have the East Friesland LC bgl in place and nothing in Hamburg City looks amiss (I left out the Hamburg LC file for …

what is the easiest and best AI program to install to add ground and air traffic to my fs9.1?

Hello peeps.I'm pulling my hair out with this one - just can't seem to find a solution (see pic).....Problem ONLY on UK coastlines. BluHorizon is a 24/7 active flight server. We run off of all Multi player functional flight simulator's including, FS2000, FS2002, FS2004, and FS2006. We currently do not have a website up and running but, we do have one underway. We have a fully running server and Teamspeak server running though. Hi,I just installed a projector in an extra bedroom and I want to attach FS9 to it. I've been playing around a bit on it before taking some jets out, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to meld the front "cockpit view" with the left and right side views to make it look like one big cockpit?What I have now is just a bigger version of what I had on my 19 inch monitor, and what I want is to be able to see to the left and right of the jet.How do I do this?Thanks,Michael Kalchman

People in the Vista Australis (VOZ) forum have been claiming improved performance after installing .NET 3. I was sceptical - as I couldn't really see why that would be so. I installed it last night - and now I am beginning to wonder if there is in fact something in it. Like a lot of these things - including lots of so called "fixes" , I do have to wonder if the perceived improvement in performance is in the imagination of the user. In this case, it seems to have given me a few FPS more in one particualrly difficult area . Anybody here at AVSIM tried it?Barry

Anyone have any tips in landing in strong tailwinds? Thanks to ActiveSky and in no small part to FS9's EXCELLENT WEATHER RENDERING CAPABILITIES ... my fully aligned, configured and on the landing path perfect 777 managed to land first on the left hand rear gear, then with a "thud" came down on the rest.Rather shaking experience for the pax; as I had to stand there and smile as if everything was normal.

I have recently built a new rig see specs below .... I cannot figure out why after some time my panel will flash when I move the mouse over a certain part of the 2D panel.For instance I can have the 2D panel of say the DA Cheyenne in front of me and say after a minute or so of turning things on if I move the mouse over an area of the panel guage needles will start moving and at times other parts of the panel will flash up like half of the overhead or the throttle area.What I have deduced so far is that this happens with all of my a/c with VCs in 2D mode.That I can temporarily fix the issue if I go into display options and say turnoff "render to texture" go back to the sim…
