Hello.I noticed something a couple of days ago that I hadn't noticed before. In my FS9 Scenery folder there is a file called views.vis. Does anyone know what this is? I never remember seeing this before and it's not on my last backup either.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!

Hello people, I need help.I am new to scenery design.I somehow succeeded in building an island and is working well(visible in fs9) but it (terrain) does not show up in map mode or in gps.why? and how can i make it happen? I used ground 2k4 for building the island.plz help

Due to a recent crash on my HD I am rebuilding my FS world. I used to have a utility caleed, I believe, FSTyper. This allowed me to set aircraft to be visible or invisible in the selection screen. I can't find it in the library. Can anyone let me know the file name please?Rob

Recently I've been getting memory errors on FS9 startup after adding scenery.I've got a lot of add-on scenery and a ton of planes. My PC's got two gig of hard RAM and plenty of space for virtual on multiple hard discs and I'm running Windows XP. So I'm wondering what can be done - short of removing the scenery add-ons - to help cure this problem.I was curious if unclicking the 'enable' radio checkbox in the scenery setting section of FS9 would reduse the memory demands with uninstalling some of the scenery. Will that do the trick? I know I could remove all the scenery, but then reinstalling becomes a royal pain. If unclicking the 'enable' checkbox works and reduces the dr…

Since I have started flying F1's Super 80, I have been getting CTD's just about every flight. And it's always about 20 minutes from the airport. TPA-IAH, CTD at 7k on the approach about 30nm from the airport in the F1. IAH-MDW, lock up and restart of sim 15min from MDW on the descent, then the same thing tonight doing MDW-IAH. Was as 250 about 100nm from IAH. Just out of nowhere it locked up. All the lockups were in the F1. Is it possible the plane could be causing these problems?

I'm trying to uninstall FS9 but there is no listing for it in the Add/Remove programmes in My Computer and there is no uninstall icon in the FS9 Root Directory.What should I do?Any suggestions gratefully received.

New member here so hello :-)I'm having a few problems when using the clock on the defult 747 panel. As my name suggests, I love doing long haul flights and especially like seeing what the local time is during my flight (as I cross the timezones).However, since installing/reinstalling FS9 again on two computers, I have been unable to see the time when scrolling over the clock. I used to be able to do this on a lower performance computer without problem. I have tried altering the settings but no avail!Please help!Many thanksPS: I would give you my computer specs on my new computer but am currently flying from EGLL to FIMP!

Maybe I just didn't search correctly, but I couldn't find any AI for Horizon Air. Particularly a Dash 8 since I'll be flying on one in about a month. I looked in WoAI to no avail.

Hello,I have the following add ons other than add on scenery from the generous authors here my payware includes FSG all mesh ect, UT USA, and BEV all season's. I have also had the "sandwitch" in the add on scenery section as discribed in the commercial review area on this great site.Here is what happens, I start up the Sim per all the instructions and after about 5 mins to 15 mins (It is always unpredicable) the Computer just seems to freeze up. I installed the Garmin 500 in the Pilatus PC-12 and it works fine, but it consistently tracks to the left of the magenta line, rather than right on. If I manually turn right on the course line, and then re-engage the GPS or localizer, it turns left to parallel the line, but not right on. Any way to fix?? Thanks. Tom

I fly around British Columbia/Northwest Washington area a lot & use runway 27 at Victoria quite often & am surprised to see that the usual vasi/papi lights are missing - well they are in my FS9! After a longish session with fs9 I close it and restart and create flight but scenery textures and virtual cockpit textures are either not there or very blurred, The only way I can fix this is to restart computer. Any ideas?

Found but unfortunately lost the location of a member who offered to mail this patch. Any help on this location or any other source would be appreciated. Incidently can this programme be assigned to both FS9 and FSX?

I know this isn't the best place for this, but I know the Eaglesoft guys watch these forums. I haven't been on the forums in awahile and my login has been deactivated. Have a look over at Flight1.com. It supports FS9 as well. I'm wondering, what are the benefits over Afcad for us FS9 users? Looks like it edits taxi signs as well...The introductory price is awfully tempting, though not cheap and certainly not freeware.

Hi guys, the weirdest thing just happened. And only seem to be my 737-200 panel from Fabrizio Beretta. I have lost my switches on the top for the lights and the flap guage and some other gauges. The thing is I havnt done anything to the panel from the last time that I used it. I have installed all of Fabrizio Beretta panels and over written the guage files, but the same thing keeps happening. At one time it was possible to download: FS Freeware LOD9 Mesh for the World using an interactive map. Hi guys,Please could someone help me. I have recently insalled every WOAI package there is and I have decided to add sound to each plane. I went through each plane folder and added a new sound folder with an aliase sound.cfg to the suitable sound package. I did that for every plane, but now I need to go through every aircraft.cfg and put a 'sound=' part into each [fltsim.x] part. Before I spend the rest of eternity doing this, could someone tell me if there is an easier way to do this? If I put 'sound=' under the [general] section, will it apply it to all [fltsim.x] parts?

I'm interested in using FS 2004 for real pilot training.My idea is to have 2 computers, one for the pilot on FS 2004 and other for the instructor.I wonder if anyone knows what software I can use to put on the instructor computer a radar screen (like the ones used in VATSIM).However I would like the Radar Software to display the student flight in the other computer + AI Traffic, and if possible if the instructor could generate AI Traffic on demand.I know that if I use VRC "Virtual Radar" Software I have to connect to VATSIM or even if I could connect to a fake intranet VATSIM the software would display only the unique student conected in the other computer... Hello,This is my first post here, so please bear with me. I am conducting a project for a class of mine that requires me to compare how accurately people fly according to specified flight plan. I am wondering if there are any plug-ins, or any software that allow a person to collect the flight data and performance of a pilot, and compare that to the flight plan made in FS2004, or one specified before hand. This would be best described as a virtual "black Box" of sorts. I know that FS2004 draws out the flight path on the maps that are viewed after a flight, but I need something that can measure distance, so I can compare and contrast that performance. Ive just installed FS9 on my Vista PC. Running a core2duo E6600, 2 gig memory i would assume this would be a hassle free operation.After testing, i have found out that FS9 is taking lots of memory.This is just when i am close to addon scenery.The memory usage starts at 350mb, then increasing to 1,5 GB! in 10-15 minutes.When moving away from the addon-airport scenery, the memory load stops increasing, but does not decrease.To me this seems like a memory leak.I am thinking about reinstalling WinXP so i can use FS9, but if anyone got any suggestions on what can cause this i would be a happy fella.Tested with default cessna.Cloud9 Amsterdam - Memory leak and CTD.UK2000 EGLL -…
