How does the work by these two developer compare? Do you like one over the other?I have the new SR-71 and the B-1B by Alphasim, but have no experience with Iris. Do they have a comparable level of quality?

I'm trying to use more then just 2x AA for FS9, and as we all know, I'm getting the thing where its all black in the aircraft selection, and also if I pull up any kind of window, everything under is black (Fs passengers, F10, squawk box etc.)is there anyway to get around this, or do I have to downgrade back to 2x AA?

Hi,does AI Aircraft have window and logo lighting only at night?I would like to have that already at dusk and dawn. Can one change that somewhere in the fs9 config files?Thanks for any hints, Chris

Hi.I have installed Flight Simulator in my computer some time ago. I don't have a joystick and have been playing mostly with small aircrafts (Cessna 172/182), which seems to be fine for me -- I can takoff, follow up ATC instructions, land and more. However, when I try to fly with jets (Learjet 45 or 737), the game gets waaaaaay much harder, especially during approachs and landings. I don'y know, but I suspect that if I was using a joystick it would be easier to approach and land jets. Sometimes it takes to long for the game to respond my commands on the key board.So, what do you guys think? It's really worth for me to buy a joystick or my problem is lack of skills? Should…

I haven't been posting much, but wanted to take a moment to again give a nod to FS9 as well as all of those who've supported it-- freeware developers, payware developers, forum members, and Avsim. I hadn't "flown" the sim in some time but took the time this weekend to get absorbed in the sim for twelve hours. It's still a classic IMHO. So much so I struggled to decide what aircraft to fly, what time of day to set, and time of year to enjoy my simulated flight under. It's a great sim, and a great break from the stress in life. Kudos to all--for providing add ons to the sim and for sharing their thoughts to read in this forum.Regards, John

I would like to assign keystrokes to a couple features I don't find in controls/assignments:display/hide GPStaxi lights on/offbeacon on/offI don't see an entry in the controls/assignments area for any of these. The panel icons/switches work fine, but I'd prefer a structure allowing push-button access from a yoke. Along with the beacon feature, on the default Cessna 172, if I click the panel switch, I get both wing strobe and the tail beacon. If I keystroke "o", I only get the wing strobes. The 747 has separate panel switches that work for the strobe and beacon, but the beacon can only be controlled from the panel switch, the strobe is good with "o". Gotta be a way to get …

Can you installing any of the greatness of FSX into FS9, like textures, effects, or mesh? I heard it can be done.

Just wrapped up a KLAX to KDFW flight (approximately 2.5 hours) using the POSKY repaint of the 747SP.After taxi and at the gate, I switched views to external and the plane bounced to the point of a crash...resetting the flight. Fortunately I had saved on the inbound leg to replay, but this "plane bounce" is highly annoying.So my question is, who is to blame? Is POSKY for improper aircraft placement? Maybe a bad AFCAD? I'd hint at the latter if it weren't for the fact that the plane bounces on stock airports as well as AFCAD modified ones.

Hi,Is it possible to merge the above aircraft and panel?My reason being that the Feelthere aircraft doesn't have that many liveries available,or the liveries I wish to fly.ie:Monarch,First Choice,MytravelUK, that sort of thing.I've searched all the sites for these liveries but to no avail.I know theres a Danish Mytravel available in the libray here and also a First Choice one,but its got the old Air 2000 logo on it.Thanks for any help,Regards,Martin.

On some of my aircraft models, during my initial climb, the autopilot seems to 'hunt' for my pre-set thrust level and the thrust levels fluctuates up and down til I reach somewhere between FL100 and FL150, then it smooths out. Other models keep it constant. Is there anything I can change to avoid the 'thrust level hunt'?Thanks

It supposedly even does VNAV pretty well. If it all works correctly, the package looks like a winner for those who fly 'lighter' commercial jets (CLS, POSKY, 50North, etc.) and would like to put an FMC into them.Going to check it out a bit more....

Hey,I purchased Flight scenery's KPDX airport a while ago and i really was amazed by the detail of the runways on KPDX.I wish to apply this runway textures in ALL of my FS9 default airfields... is such thing possible ?

I have downloaded Wilco 777 and despite a problem with something called comctl32.ocx,which I have hopefully overcome,the aircraft doesn`t show in the list when starting fs9.It is in the a/c file. Help please? Alan

I was trying to find directions on how to merge these 2 models. Using Search the best I could do is to e-mail the guy that says he has the merge files and I sent him an e-mail and he has yet to respond about 3 months later.Any news/info?Thanks

Hi folks - Wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction as to what I'm missing. Attached to this post are two pictures, the first is of a previous install of FS9 with all the same addons. The second, is my latest install, over the same area. My concern is how blurry and muddy the textures are in the distance. I'm wondering what configuration I'm forgetting to eliminate these horrible problems. Hi,Since installing aes I can't seem to get my atc to work in fs9.I have even tried re assigning the atc window key, but no joy.any suggestions at all.thanks.

It's a pretty old plane by now, but it really looks nice! too bad it doesn't have the inside/avionics to back it up. Still has support for AIRACs and TPs though :) I'd fly it, but the inside is so outdated :( I hope DA starts back up with their CRJ. I have no clue how they figured the Fokker would be a better option then the CRJ. :)

Hi Gang.I wondered if it was possible to see the AI traffic in FS Nav when you are in FS9.I know we can see other traffic in FS Nav when on line in VATSIM etc, but what about our own AI traffic.Many thanks.

Does anyone know where I can find a decent sound file for this great freeware aircraft?I'm not saying it's bad but the 'looping' on half to fullpower, is annoying.
