Hello,I like to fly in windowed mode. However, I get tearing and even forcing V-Sync from the ATI Control Panel doesn't help. I don't like to fly in full-screen. Any suggestions ??Thanks

Other that the suggestions in the other forum, has anyone found any other ways to get better performance is fs9? Right now in the FT ERJ145 with med clouds, Im getting about 15FPS. Which in my case, is unreasonable at FL270 at 5AM local time. Anyone have any idea's on how to boost the FPS, other than a pc upgrade, which I need?

Is there any value added to unchecking scenery boxes (located in initial startup settings)when you aren't flying in that area? For example, should I uncheck ultimate terrain Europe if I'm flying mainly in the US? Are any system resources being allocated to "maintain" checked scenery even though you're not "loading" that scenery/texture set?Lastly, with regard to scenery settings, what does priority actually mean? What's happening when I designate a scenery set (eg., ultimate terrain US) as number 1 vice number 5? If there is a method, how do most folks rack and stack? Is there any correlation between the priority and performance (FPS)?ThanksKemoF15

Guys, I am using AS6.5 and FE. I have installed FE and when I run AS and recieve a report of clouds, in the sim, its as clear as can be. I also have a registered version of FSUIPC. I have a feeling the error is somewhere in one of those 3. Anyone ever seen this before?

Hi all,So I got interested in the CS C-130 Pro when I saw it was a $19 download at Flight 1. As always I looked into reviews of the product before purchasing. Overall, based on the reviews it seamed like a good package, although there were many, many complaints about CaptainSim service.I decided to go ahead and get it anyway since it was a great price from Flight 1. I took if for a test flight out of March AFB and I really like the eye candy. I will have to spend some time with the manuals though, I cant even get the lights to turn on :)I guess I did not read enough forums. I have got myself a good video card. It's a Nvidia 7800. I have FSGlobal2k8 and GEPro installed.I have followed every fs9.cfg tweaking guide I can find, but I still cannot get textures and mesh to look good anything beyond middle distance.I realize in relatively flat areas or from high altitude the way it renders is perfectly acceptable and the distance scenery is fuzzed out by distance haze anyway so texture quality is not important on the horizon at 80 odd miles.However when flying or gliding around the valleys in the Alps or Himalayas the peaks that might be 20 miles away 'should' look much clearer than they do. In fact beyond the middle distance they look pathetic …

hello,I'm experiencing a very weird issue. I used to think before that SB3 caused the dramatic fps loss, but now I've just realized that as soon I open up a module (SB3 or AdvDisp just to mention some examples) my FPS drops by 15.I'm running FS9 under Vista, almost everything maxed out and without open modules I get a constant FPS of 30 even with heavy sceneries (uk2000 etc.) (I know that 25 is enough, I'm just writing this to show that my system spec is ok).System: sony vaio vgn-fe41s, Vista Home Premium, C2D T5500 1,6 GHz, 2 GB , geforce 7600 w. 256 mb.Any ideas?Thanks in advance,Robertp.s. of course, no background processes are running and using up RAM.

I've been having a problem with this software. A couple of months ago I changed video cards. I am now using a BFG GeForce 7800 GS AGP card with 256 MB of memory. I've had to uninstall FS 2004 and reinstall FS 2004 more than a few times because I have a lot of add ons and I think some of them cause conflicts with either the video card or Windows XP professional Service pack 2 which is the operating system on my computer. I have installed FS 2004 again and when I start the program this time first the screen goes black and then everything on the desktop looks distorted and out of focus. Colors look faded. Hello,(sorry for the many questions I've been making)I noticed that during sunset or sunrise, I get this strange 45 degree angle checkerboard type pattern around the sun. I had my first go at soaring yesterday and I was impressed at first with the thermals I did find through just active sky. I made it a good 30 miles in the default Fs2004 sailplane, from a 5000ft start and reached 8,000ft at one point.So I got the bug.I'm a stickler for real-as-it-gets, so I went looking for soaring sites and managed to get myself an ASW something or other pro-glider. Howdy EveryoneNow, We here at Hypnotoad Studios design both AFCAD and Panels. We are slowly trying to move into the Payware Market. We had a question though. AFCAD: We take the Microsoft Stock AFCAD files Provided in FS2004 and delete all the old Parking spots, we then build the airport up from the ground.... Now even though we used the Stock AFCAD file that came with the Simulator when bought, can we edit it to our needs and sell it???? or does Microsoft strictly prohibit that....Panel: we take mostly FS2004 STOCK Gauges and build our panels, could we sell them with they're Microsoft STOCK Gauges or does Microsoft prohibit us making money off that....... I tried to re-install the Lago Tornado and got a warning message that FS9 was not in my registry. I also had a similiar problem when trying to install Tileproxy. Can someone please tell me how to fix this? Thanks,-Mike

Hi, Somehow I was doing something and messud up my Airbus A320 aircraft.cfg file when I saved it (I'm talking about the FSX Default A320). Could anyone copy and paste their Default aircraft.cfg file for me. It would really help me alot as a lot of my planes were A320s and I can't use them now. If you would just copy and paste the stuff from your A320 Aircraft.cfg file here, it would mean a lot to me. Thanks.

Hi all, Been a veeerrryyyy long time since I was in the forums.....now back with FS9 performing beautifully - and FSX chucked in the cupboard until everything in the hardware world catches up;) Just a quick note to everyone to say that I too have the old usual nvidia problem of a black screen in the selecyt aircraft part of the pre-flight set up. Easy to live with I suppose....but a bit of a pain all the same.
