Hey Paul--You haven't responded to my e-mail, and I figured I had an old address... Either way, did you ever resolve your OOM issues? I had yet another OOM crash an hour before landing on a long-haul flight (WSSS-EGLL), and since this time around I almost put my fist through the screen I figured I can see if we can renew the quest for the OOM sources. I never noticed this problem before. I decided to do some spotting at KCLT. I had Active Camera set up with a good vantage point set up. Planes started landing but as soon as they hit a point on the runway before turning off the taxiway, they disappear! Not one or two, but all of them. I have 100% traffic enabled. Thanks. Tom

Didn't there used to be a utility that would help space out the arrivals of the AI aircraft so they didn't pile and have to go around so much? I try to schedule them 3 or 4 minutes apart in AI Traffic mover but I guess they don't all use the same arrival procedures it it still happens at times.

In my quest to get my scenery to move fluidly past my eye-point while looking out of the side window I was plagued by random micro-stutters. I had tried everything to smooth things out.Everything was smooth from spot view and I was always in the VC that I noticed it. I felt sure it was something having to do with the VC computing environment.I think most of us have "Active Camera" by now and I had forgotten about my head latency setting from the original install. A real neat effect by the way. When I had higher settings I noticed the stutters while in a turn so I had been running it at 0.10 when the range is between 0.0 to 2.0 . Hello. I was hoping someone would be able to answer a question for me regarding the setup of an AFCAD file.I am using the KASE scenery by Todd Lucas and I was trying to make a small change to the AFCAD file. The problem is I don't know if what I'm trying to do is even possible in FS9.At KASE the takeoffs are usually on 33 and the landings are usually on 15. So, I was hoping to be able to make the AFCAD file do this. The trouble is when closing 15 for takeoffs the sim wants all aircraft to land on 33.Is it possible to generate opposite takeoffs and landings like this in FS9?Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!

Went for my daily browse to PS Panels forum and found out it was closed. Seconds later I spotted their payware NG737 released as freeware on Avsim.Paul - mate good luck and thanks loads for your excellent NG737 panel & 737 Classic panels which I thoroughly enjoy and no doubt countless other simmers around the world feel the same.If you decided to get back into the panel-business..hey Im waiting with card in hand, I know quality when I see it :)In the meantime for those casual simmers who like handdrawn bitmaps for panels & neat features like the FS9-derived GPS map on the NAV-display I don't think you can beat the PSP NG737 one.

While flying to KCLT I requested a landing on 18L and was granted it, then after saying "cleared to the 18L approach" the controller added "with a circling approach to RW23". As I approached the airport, approach issued a final vector and then cleared me to the ILS for 18L, then later tower said to "turn base for 23". I quickly retuned my GPS and landed on 23. Could someone please explain what happened here??? Thanks. Tom

Any news when the fs9 dc-2 package will be released? Last I read was that it was being beta tested.Will it be available from the same site that the fs2002 uiver package was. It was brilliant and I miss it in fs9.

I know there was a fix for the Dreamwings version of this plane, but does anybody have one for the Premier Aircraft Design version? I seem to have only one bumpy spot and that is on rwy 05 abeam H2. I looked at the afcad and it shows asphalt so I don't know how else to fix it..Greg

Hi guys,Since acquiring a massively faster PC I've run into a problem with FS9. I'm achieving in excess of 60 fps on unlimited setting but although the autogen scenery objects are showing crisp and clear, the underlying basic scenery, especially roads, appears out of focus even above 3000 ft - unlike what it was on my old system. The roads never come into clear focus, even using Photographic Scenery, and have jagged edges but, strangely, airport layouts are crisp and clear (autogen?). I've read a lot of posts here about what defraggers people use and I'm ready to spend some money to finally get a good one, if need be. I've been looking at Diskkeeper among others but I can't tell which programs actually allow you to skip specific, designated folders and/or files. I really want this feature because I've been using IOBit's great freeware defragger, but it takes 2 1/2 days(!!) to defrag my scenery and textures bmp folders. (The rest of my hard drive is the normal 30 mins to an hour.)Can you all tell me which ones will let you exclude a folder and/or file and which ones you recommend? Is it ok to remove the FS9/sound/Thunder folder without causing inintended consequences? Seems awkward hearing thunder while cruising at FL350.ThanksKemoF15

Because I have a good range of payware aircraft now that provide me a broad choice, aircraft vs flight type, I want to 'trim the sim' to its bare necessities. Viz: only the default Cessna/'s (this to retain the recommended start-up flight for the payware aircraft) and only the default flight in the 'Flight Simulator Files' folder. All the other aircraft and all the other flights can go, even Rod Much ado can take a break if it's possible. He and Mr. and Mrs. King for that matter. I pretty much know how to delete the aircraft and flights but the other program features, nup.So, bottom line, has anyone done this? How do you throw out the bathwater without the baby following …

There was an addon, or sound package, I can't remember, that when you applied the brakes, they squeaked & groaned, like in real life. I think it was in/from a commercial jet package.Rick

Hey All,I have a question about parking. When an AI plane comes in, for example a United jet into Los Angeles, ATC always sends him to the United gates(I have an AFCAD for LAX to do that). When ever I fly in and request a taxi to the gate, they send me to another airlines gates. I just requested a taxi to the gate and was told to go to gate 71 which is the Alaska Airlines terminal. How do I make it so I can go to the correct gate. My United plane with United AI planes and any other time with any other airline.-Thanks, Nick
