How come when you open the cargo door, it will only sometimes close. I have the cargo doors open on an ATA 757 and I'm trying to close them. They will open by pressing Shift+E+2 and when I go to close them using Shift+E+2, they won't close. All it says in the green strip is Main Exit Opening and then Main Exit Closing, over and over. How can I fix this problem other than reselecting that aircraft? -Nick

hiI have been thinking of buying the Ariane BBJ and have ran across little luck as far as a review in the English language - with the exception of one that was written in Jan 07 on another Flightsim webpage.Anyone on here bought the product? Has anyone tried using their "new" and hillariously announced "bulk-printing" feature? It's a joke and it goes like this:You select a number of charts to be printed out, let's say 16 charts. Now what would make sense and what even freeware-software is capeable of doing does NOT happen here. Navigraph - instead of bundling these 16 documents - sends 16 single pages to the printer, opening 16 dialogues and not allowing the user to print them in duplex-mode or to define any other page format than the default (it would have to be assigned seperately for *each* single page). About 50% of the time i find airports do not activate take off runways into headwind. I checked the AFCAD, and rechecked the ATIS and weather(ASV6) and i can't figure out why.For example..KEWR 212@8, but ATC directs you to take off 4L, instead of 22R. Theres surface wind, and winds aloft, is there another that directing ATC to T/O against Pilots wishes? Any clues or help would be great. thanksKeyno

I seem to be missing default coastline textures in certain sceneries areas, for example the Caribbean or in Alaska's Glacier Bay, after I deactivated add-on mesh sceneries for those areas. The costlines are now are blocky squares, much like in the FS5 days. Looking in the FS9/Textures directory, I see the shoreline bitmaps in there, but for some reason, they are not displaying. Since few days Im no more able to see the image of the aircraft I choose for flight on the startup page, only a black screen there instead of it.This is not causing other issues or troubles during theflight or cahnging other options on the start screen, but Im really curious about the possible cause.Hope in some ideas and suggestionsThanks

Hi.I,ve found that aircraft in FSX (default) is much more stable in flight than the FS9 default aircraft. For example, to fly the FS9 Bell 206 with realism settings set to Full, is very demanding and it is close to impossible to hover without the aircraft moving in a direction. However, the Bell 206 of FSX is much more stable under the same conditions and it is also "easy" to hover-taxi at an airfield.I've compared both airfiles and aircraft config files, and concerning the cfg files, there is not realy a difference between the two. When using the Posky 757-200 I find that with engines at idle (thrust handles pulled all the way back) and parking brakes engaged the aircraft still rolls very slowly forward. The parking brakesdo not hold the aircraft. Is there a way in the aircraft config fileto reduce the thrust settings at idle to help me with this problem?If so please let me know in what area of the aircraft config the settings are, and how to change them to help me get rid of this problem. The current idle settings are give me a faste than normal taxi speed and require braking every so often. I would appreciate your help.

Hi fellow simmers,I have been experiencing some pretty significant stuttering when flying around certain areas in FS9. I finally ran Filemon and found there were hundreds of attempts by FS9 to open a file named EFFECTS.FX. No such file was found. Long story short: I have Ultimate Terrain (great program) and it was looking for the file when I was flying around shorelines. I did some searching and found there is a patch that corrects the problem. I installed the patch and the suttters are gone. Below is a link to the "unofficial patch" from Flight One. Everytime I click on "open airport" in AFCAD 2.21, it stalls trying to collect all the airports with about 2 bars on the progression meter. I restarted my computer and it worked fine for about 3 times then it stalled again. The Windows Task Manager shows it "not responding". Last time I used it couple of weeks ago, it worked fine.I even tried downloading it all over again, to no avail.

Has anybody made a tweaked aircraft.cfg for the SGA DC-10-30F with proper load stations for a freighter? It comes with the same load configuration as the passenger model.

Is there anything comparable to the PMDG and LvlD767 products that members would recommend for my next purchase? I was leaning towards a 707 or 727 but that was only an embryonic thought. Anything with a comparable level of sophistication to the afforementioned products would be fine, even large turboprops.Jon

Well this is weird. If I load certain planes or change the resolution its like my anti Aliasing has shut down and its all jaggy now

I find it hard to resist the temptation again to install FSX on my cpu.I have tried it 2xs once b4 SP1 and once after.There are already a bunch of free updates that I currently own in FS9 that are ported over to FSX.I really love FS9 now that I have it perfected and run it balls to the wall with many dollars of addons.I just feel compelled to install FSX again since I paid for it but I was not too impressed post SP1(Blurries) but as time goes on more and more addons are appearing here @ AVSIM. I guess this debate will live on and it is personal in nature but am I missing out !!!!!Andy

I just installed the CH bundle(THQ,Yoke,Pedals) for FS9 and I do have the reg copy of FSUIPC but I am lazy these days so is it worth turning off the internal switch of the FS9 Joystick, and program the CH products using the great FSUIPC for the CH control parameters.ThanksAndy

I recently purchased the Majestic Software Dash 8 which is an awesome addition to my hanger, but I would like to merge its panel with either the Dreamwings or PAD dash 8-100/200 models. When attempting to do so, flight sim would immediately CTD. Has anyone successfully merged this payware aircraft's panel with these freeware models? I have seen merges with the freeware panel but for whatever reason, it would also have issues eventually causing my flight sim to crash. As much as I hate to do so, I'm afraid I'm going to have to do a re-install of FS 9. With so many payware and freeware scenery add-ons, it's going to be a nightmare.The problem is that I'm getting CTD's when I access the disk while in FS. An example would be in the flight planner. If I click to browse to look for an already existing FP, often times the program crashes. It also happens when using FSNav and the wx radar in ActiveSky when browsing to load files. It doesn't do it every time, just on occasion.It's been doing it for awhile and I've been putting off doing a re-install, but it's getting worse. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
