Hi.I seem to be flying in FS9 less these days because I cant get enough time for flying. Setting up flight plans etc, then setting up aircraft to fly often takes 30-60 minutes before you even get in the air.I am looking for the best GA aircraft that is fun and realistic to fly but doesnt require much setting up. Basically one that you can load up, put some fuel in, go through a quick checklist then get into the air. I don't want to be bothered with VOR to VOR navigation or anything, just get into the air and fly where the mood takes me. I know its not very realistic to do it that way but this is a virtual world and whatever you fin the most fun goes, imo.I would be reall…

Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Can anyone debug my spoilers using the CH Throttle quadrant. I assign the far left lever as the spoiler axis in FS9 but it only fully deploys and won't retract the spoilers. Maybe it's a sensitivity / null zone thing. Hello. I was hoping someone would be able to answer a question for me.It seems that in some aircraft the emergency brake is not strong enough to keep the plane from moving. Even when the throttles are idle. Is it possible to adjust this somewhere?It's kind of a pain when you are parked and the plane keeps inching forward with the brake on.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!

I have had ground textures popping in and out of focus ever since I can remember: the ground is never "still", tiles randomly focusing and unfocusing: at night over urban areas the lights dim and brighten.Anyway, in another attempt to find a solution I installed nHancer which is great for nVdia users as it explains what the available changes do and why (which the nVidia control panel doesn't tell you).But I also fiddled about with the FS9 .cfg and now all the ground is totally unfocused, at all altitudes, although under about 5000' it's better.What are the .cfg entries that would affect ground focus, and what nVidia parameters would affect it?My Specs:AMD64 4200 / Asus A8…

What do you guys think? Their front page says block f is now in beta testing. They say that F is the advanced system modeling, so I guess that is the FMC?Maybe its finally complete? Add up the prices of all the blocks you have to purchase to have a complete package and whats your grand total? lol...

Can someone tell me what this problem could be ,i can see the landing lights in the outside view + also in the VC view but when i am inside the cockpit i cant see any landing lighs they dont work when you are in the panel view thanks.

I want to have a go at some GA flying as I have become a bit bored of the commercial stuff. I just want a change for a bit.I am looking for some good freeware scenery for GA flying. I am especially interested in stuff for Europe but anywhere will do. I am interested in some good airfields mainly. Something that has a real feeling of being there, or somewhere interesting. Hello everyone,This question may seem basic. I tried looking for an answer on the forum (admittedly not an exhaustive search) and on the internet, but wasn't able to find an answer.I have been using Jeppesen 3.0 and Navigraph charts for the 747-400 PMDG (in FS2004). Waypoints from both charts can be entered into the FMC, but they are different for the same runway.For example, landing at OEJN 34 C with Jeppesen charts goes through the sequence tavni --> ALNON --> JDW70 -- > JDW 22 --> 34 Cwhile Navigraph charts go through Tavni-->Nadov-->Sokit-->IJDW-->34CWhat is the difference between the two charts? I created a flight plan using FSCommander for an IFR flight, using high altitude airways, with a PMDG 737 aircraft. The flight plan includes SID/STAR routes. It loads perfectly on the 737 FMC.Problem is how do you get the FS9 ATC to follow the flight plan that I created? FS9 ATC directs me on a different route, even if I load the flight plan on FS9's flight planner. I understand FS9 doesn't have SID/STAR, but ATC still directs me on a different route even if I didn't include SID/STAR in the flight plan. Do I fly without the FS9 ATC? Then it wouldn't seem "real" enough without some sort of ATC...

I downloaded a boeing 757 panel off of avsim from John J Schumacher and in the readme file it said to place the sound.dll file included in the package into the modules folder replacing the other one,which I did and now when I try to start my sim an error message comes up saying that the sound.dll file is either missing or damaged, reinstall flight simulator to replace or fix this problem.Flight simulator will now close.So now when i checked the current sound.dll file i recognize that it is the one for fs2002 not fs2004, so can somebody please help me in getting the correct sound.dll file so i can start back simming again:-zhelp

Hi,I was wondering if it was possible to have the FSX Aircraft View in FS2004. It it shown in this video sometimes (FS2004 video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceU5VjWxf9o. The 'camera' has the same rotational axis as the plane. For example, if the plane banks left, the camera will also bank left. If the plane is upside down, the plane will be straight, but the entire landscape would be upside down.Thanks

During my flight from Lumpur to Hong Kong, WMKK to VHHHWhen I approach Hong Kong, the AI ATC ask me to tune to Hong Kong CtrThe Centre ask me to Climb to FL190. I am very suprised that why I have to climb to this height when I am ready to landing at Hong Kong. But I just do the same. It is already 16miles from VHHH ,and all of a sudden, the CTR asks me to tune to Guilin CTR. So I do the same as told. However, the Guilin CTR told me to desend to 1700 and ready to get LOC. Omg, I am at 19000 and was told to descend to 1700.As a result, I can't land and go back to TD. So when I go back to TD, I turn 180 and get LOC/APP to land at 25LThe tower allowed me to land at 25L and so…

I was thinking that they should behave more alike then not, but this HU16 likes to throw it's nose up...I put the DC3 trim gauge in the HU16 cockpit, just to be sure that the readings would be from the same source.I found that when at 8900' with a MAP of 46" and RPM of 2500 that both planes did about 160-170 Kias. However, to maintain level flight the DC3 settled in with about -3.7deg of pitch trim, but the HU16 came in at around -13.0deg of pitch trim.Being a layman, it looks way off kilter, but do any of you seasoned pilots (virtual or otherwise) see it that way?

i just found some of flightsoft's addons for FS9 for a decent price in my local flea market and , before bying them , i was wondering how these sceneries are ?are "fly to cancun" , "fly to rio" , "hong kong" and "fly to caribbean" any good ?

I recently got a new system and am hoping to be able to resolve a sound issue I am having.To begin, my new motherboard is an ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe, which comes with on-board sound. I have 5.1 speakers connected to the MB. In addition, I have headphones connected to the MB as well (it shares the plug with the front speakers via a "y").My problem is, my speakers split the sounds (this wasn't a problem for me before for some reason). So if I want to hear engines and all other sounds at the same time, I have to have speakers on. Unfortunately, if I want to use headphones to fly online or to keep the noise down, I miss out on some of the sounds.Any easy fixes? Thanks.Brian
