To save me having to try approaches with each aircraft in the program can anyone tell me which FS9 aircraft are "approach" capable? ie are there any others besides the Boeing fleet that will shoot a hands off ILS landing up to the point of touchdown?Jeff

Well bad on me for purchasing the Wilco Airbus vol 1 & 2 series. I saw some emails about CTDs but went ahead anyway and purchased them without fully understanding how bad the issue was. Basically, if I attempt to fly these aircraft using the FMGC (like you would normally), there is a very good chance that you will experience a CTD. The reason appears to be a conflict with the navdata information (I have an updated nav database from navdata.at). With vol 1, if you attempt to fill in a flight plan, ther are many that will cause an immediate CTD (some examples include BAR, MOS, AHO, MKG, MTC). Just purchased the FSD Seneca and when loading the glass cockpit version, the vc textures do not load and it appears to be the steam gauge version...tried to long onto FSD forum but kept getting an error message...then d/l a new texture set for the Seneca, but when I tried to load that, I get error messages that the folder can't be found...also the load manager does not work...when I click on it, it flashes a window for a microsecond and that's all...hobbies should not involve ripping out one's hair

I've got a good selection of airliner AI, and I have some nice biz jet AI courtesy of the Ultimate GA packages, but my virtual skies are sorely lacking smaller GA aircraft...Is there a package available of GA type AI aircraft?Cessnas, Pipers, singles, twins, etc. I see there are lots of repaints available in the library here but I am looking for a package that has a selection of aircraft that I can drop straight into my FS folder.Any ideas?Thanks.

I was just looking at their forums and the list of fixes that they have such as:1) fsX A340-600 no control surface animation *fixed*5) fs9 assymetric thrust during taxi *fixed*I had to laugh and was actually expecting something like 6) Aircraft does not fly *working on it*There is something obviously fishy when you produce addons like these with these bugs.

Hi everyone,just started with FS2004 and i have a problem. I did some flights now and at 4 out of 5 landings there is a AI-plane coming in at the same runway at the same time. I did get permission to land and while monitoring my landing approach i see the ATC giving the same runway free to another plane. Since i have not seen any planes while approaching i switch to external view and there is plane (usually B737) pretty close - less than a mile off - approaching the runway. It is not like I am 10 miles out - but i can see the runway clear and i am on final approach - its just a matter of minutes to touchdown. What's the best freeware/payware for enhancing the airport sound environment? I use a combination of Ultimate Traffic and World of AI but the sound of aircraft taxing close by or taking off is barely audible even with environmental sound turned way up. I've got lots of superb airport scenery addons but the lack of "real" airport "sounds" is lacking.ThanksF15Driver

Well, I installed the beautyful LOWK and LOWS scenery's, but here be the issue: When I load my A/C at either of these airports, all is well. If I fly TO either of these airports from some other distant location, there is HUGE bleedthrough on the runway and tarmacs which does not cease. (kind of a patchy flickering of the new scenery and the old underneath). I love these airports, and would love to fix this problem!Thanks ahead of time guys.Max

I see multiple 'tower', 'ground', etc. frequencies on many AFCADS and was wondering if there is any benefit to this? Are they all operative. Some have 2 or even 3 frequencies for 'tower', 'clearance', etc. Just a curiosity question.

Can someone please help? I have for some time now had this issue of FS9 not shutting down when I use the Engravity CDU with PMDG 737 800/900.If I don't use the CDU this does not happen,so I don't know if it FS9,PMDG or the CDU!!This means I have to end the process in the task manager or turn off the PC should I decide to restart FS9.This has been an ongoing problem for a considerable time so any advice would be very much appreciated.Thank you.

I know I could (probably) just AFCAD it and fix it but I was wondering if anyone else has this trouble.Rolling down either runway (they cross), when you cross the other runway it's like hitting a speed bump. Bad. If anyone else knows the airport, or would like to "try it" for me I'd love to know... seems pretty awful to me...

This is probably pointless, and even laughable for many (all) of you, but I'm rather proud of myself.Just completed my first IFR landing using nothing but the ILS - Up to now I had flown in clear to moderately cloudy weather, but this time I hit fog while coming in to Martins State in MD. Visibility was around a mile or two I guess (I did check ATIS at the time, but I have forgotten now).Even in a sim, it was rather hairy coming in with no visual confirmation of what was around me - total whiteout. Does this config entry line under DISPLAY in FSX (for the FOV in FSX) also work when putting/adding it to the DISPLAY section of the FS9 config file?I did do it, and I'm not sure that it actually increased the FOV...but I guess that I just need to do an A/B test with after viewing my start up, close, add the line again, and then view the start up FOV from out my windscreen.But before I do that, has anybody used this line already and found that it did indeed increase the (F)ield (O)of (V)iew on their wide screen monitor/16:10 aspect ratio?Mitch

It was my understanding that FS2004 could not do AI helicopters yet I see several files here for exactly that. Am I misinformed or are there programs, files, or patches that allow AI helicopter flights?

I added the bgl file to scenery/scenery at ksea. I checked and rechecked and nothing changed at the air port. Why?
