Is there away to keep planes from using the displaced threshold? I got Blueprints KSDF and 35L has a 500ft overrun and a 1040ft displaced thres. the taxiway is where the numbers are. And when a plane gets cleared to t/o they go to the end of the threshold to take off. This takes time away between take offs and especially when UPS is busy. I just want them to taxi onto the runway and t/o.

using the default flightplanner [ok my first mistake], in the upper left corner it has the estimated fuel burn now in the table below under the fuel heading it has over twice that much which is ok if they're allowing for spare fuel but i'm not sure what the difference between the two mean. william

Hi,Recently I was given a 21" CRT monitor, so I can set different refresh rates ranging from 70 to 120Hz.Does it makes difference for the frame rates if I set the refresh rate to 120Hz?In other words, do I get lower frates in FS9 with higher refresh rates?

Is there a way to correct the AI flight plans which are mostly incorrect?Example: I do not want a 737-400 Air France flying from Los Angeles to Seattle.I would like to have it fly on the routes Air France really flies on. I'd just like to have FS9 be as real as it gets. :-)

I had a constant crash to desktop at TFFR using Antilles group scenery and Ultimate Traffic to provide the Airline Traffic. Going backwards eliminating scenery addons for the area and duplicate AFCAD's from UT where they were replaced by Antilles group. The problem was still fairly consistant I was able to eliminate the CTD by removing the Traffic.bgl file. Adding the scenerey back in again, the CTD didn't reappear. Once I added the traffic.bgl file steady CTD again. After many, many hours of eliminating aircraft and recompiling the traffic file, I narrowed the problem to a Project Ai aircraft and texture. Hi,I would like to integrate a new button on my panels: this button would switch on and off the crash detection of my plane or helicopter because of some unexpected crashs in a few airports... I'm unable to hear any atc conversations. All settings in sound menu are enabled. I have the reqiured file in the sound folder. However I'm not able to select a pilot voice. Thanks

Interesting discovery: I planned a route from Toronto to Singapore. I used FSBuild, exported the plan into FSNav, made some corrections (SID, STAR) and then exported the plan to FS9.When I wanted to load the plan as an IFR plan, I could select it - but it didn't load. I first thought that there was a format error, then maybe a waypoint that confuses FS9, until I had the hunch that it might be the fact of flying close to the North Pole which might case the problem. And indeed: I cut the route in two, one part ending at an airport on my route in Northern Canada, the other part starting on my route in Nothern Russia. I am not familar with the charactoristics of the real aircraft, but the FS2004 Piper Cub that comes in the out of the box MS package, seems awfully eager to devaite from a straight line on take off and landing and overprone to flip-over if any corrective action is taken?Best and Warm RegardsAdrian Wainer

Ok - I've seen the posts on using a merge for the PMDG panel with the POSKY 737-800 for FS2004.Question - Can I use the same merge for a 737-800/900 in FS2002? I've got the PMDG 737-600/700, but I don't have FS2004, so I can't use the PMDG 737-800/900.

Hi Guys,I am hoping someone can help me. I haven't used FS9 for awhile and decided to fire it up tonight. Everything seemed fine but the environment didn't look as good as it used to so I checked to see how my real environment addon was configured and could not find it anywhere but in the programs listing after exploring the folders. I clicked on the Real Environment icon associated with the program and I get a window that says "it can't find the flight simulator software" I have not been able to figure out what I am missing for it to recognize FS9 is installed. Hi,Just removed PMDG Queen of the skies 747 and attempted to re-install and after inputting key it says "installation cannot continue. You do not have flight sim installed"Have just ran REGCURE to sought my registry out and feel this could be a factor. Trying to populate FS9 with addon sceneries is sometimes difficult. Hard to find or nonexistent. Not he case with TKBK, Robert L Bradshaw on ST Kitts. I have two excellent choices by Christian DelBlond and Bill Melichar. I would like one keep and use the one most like the real thing but, Darned if I can find a photo of the Terminal Building. I've Googled and searched, found a lot of technical data but no photos. Can someone point me in the right direction?Bill :-hmmm :-laugh1

I'm trying to add JetBlue traffic to FS9. I have Ultimate Traffic but theres no update to add Jetblue Flight Plans. I've looked around but there is no "package" way that I've found. Just projectAI and MRAI which is more work than I want to give to this task.Any ideas?

I recently made a modified afcad for an airport that is non towered. All i did was add parking spots. I now have no atis from there where as i had before. All the frequency's are the same as the stock file as the mod file? Any ideas?Thanks....

It looks like my old Sony Vaio laptop needs to be replaced, and I would like its successor, if possible, to run FS9 at a decent clip (it would be nice if it did the same with FSX, too, but that's not all that important).I don't have a whole lot of money available, so I can't really go with one of the $2,500-plus notebooks on the market, but would clearly want more performance than the $450 loss-leaders (usually with Intel Celeron and integrated graphics) at Fry's or Best Buy.So, how many of you are running FS9 satisfactorily on your laptops? Please take a look at this google mapYou should see the base of runway 35 at KTHV. Notice the offset threshold? The AI planes in FS9 will pause right after they move out from the taxiway, and then make there run to take off from there. Smaller planes get airborne right after crossing the numbers usually.So I am wondering, is this how it's done IRL? Or is this the AI not knowing any better?Another question: At KTHV in FS9 they have a radio freq that is labeled "Clearance Delivery", which as I understand it, would be used to get clearance to takeoff before taking off. After a CTD which 'wiped out' 30% of my fs9 files, I've managed to get most things working again. However, I'm still unable to join a Multiplayer session via FSNavigator - vital for Online flying.Could anyone help, please.Ken

i'm finding that zooming out in the VC to .075 gives a new prospective and makes the cockpits look MUCH better. that makes a big difference when flying the defaults. anyone out there doing that? i might use that view as my default flying view. william

Lately I have been having some various CTDs while flying, and it only seems to be when I have my XFire client running. Just in case you do not know, XFire is a client that works like an IM program that shows your friends if you are playing online and what server, IP address and all of that other stuff. These crashes only seem to happen when I am ALT-Tabbing back to FS9 from browsing the web. FS9 will CTD and want to send a report to the XFire team and to MS as well. I've noticed in some of the reports it mentions panel.dll and fe.dll. I know one fix is to not ALT-Tab during the flight and browse the web, but those long flights are boring and I need to pass the time o…
