I recently added another drive to my computer to get more storage space. It was set up as another separate drive (F), not in a RAID configuration. Has anybody put FS9 on a drive that is not the main OS drive and how will FS set itself up (files on both drives, C and F)? I want to put FS on the bigger drive in order to have room for all my scenery and add-ons.Kim

Hi. Been several years. I use FS2004 primarily for instrument work. I have the Meridan. Wonderful. However, what are the best GA aircraft available now that has very smooth/fluid action instrument panel movement for 2004? I'd like something down in the smaller single engine category to use in addition to the Meridan. Thanks. Edit: I just may have found my own answer. It looks like the Piper Dakota should be what I'm looking far. Any other thoughts welcome though.

I can't seem to find this in any of the tweaking guides, but I recall awhile back reading it. Hoping someone can point me the right direction.There was an edit that you changed a number from 2(default) to I think 32. This supposedly gave the currently running app more priority and made other apps wait.Thanks!Rick

When I fly GA aircraft with GPS, I'm able to find the various radio frequencies for ATIS, ILS etc...with no problem. Yet when flying heavies, even the good payware addons, there isn't any way to get these frequencies within the FMC. Am I missing something?Curt

My appologies if I have missed a posting on this, but I can't believe that Microsoft hasn't in some manner made FS9 in windowed mode compatible with Vista. It is my understanding that FS9 is unable to function correctly due to the Vista Aero system. While I can get by never minimizing any FS9 windows and flying in full screen mode, I wonder if there is another answer. Is disabling Aero one answer (shouldn't be necessary)? No FS9 update?I have not as yet found that changing the compatability under program properties to run in Windows XP mode makes any program run correctly when it didn't otherwise, and don't know what this feature is to accomplish. Hi all, I want to start a thread here to find out how different people got rid of their micro stutters (if they had them). I just want everyones ideas and I cant try all of them and see if they work. I have tried everything in the book on try to get rid of my micro stutters. As I open FS9.1 I get this weird problem. I can toggle any other subscreen but as I try to open "create a flight" subscreen the sim freezes. I can't get anywhere and the little screen with the plane in it won't load. I have to exit FS9 program by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL and shutting Fs9 from there. I have been able to fly the sim earlier just normally, but this time after a little break I couldn't do it. Any solutions to this one?

Is there a big performance hit with ImagineSim's or Simwings airports? I've read differing opinions about their products.The reason I'm asking is because my wife is really bugging me now to give her a Christmas list and I'm thinking of just asking her to get me more AES credit packs and 3 or 4 more of the airports serviced by them, but the only locations I'd be interested in are maybe Simwings' EGLL, CDG, La Palma and/or Teneriffe, or some of the ones by Imaginesim -- Newark, LaGuardia, and Kansas City. I really enjoy AES, but up to this point I have limited my airport purchases to those made by FlyTampa and Tropical Sim. Both manufacturers have made incredible looking…

Hello All I am probably being dim,but i have question about the fs9 flight planner and FSnavigator.It seems that the FS9 planner can only handle a plan from airport A to airport B,but in FSNav your plan can include two three or more airports to stop at on your trip.You seem to be able export that to FS9,but how would it handle multiple airport landings on a route?(mainly IFR in my case)cheers Andy

Season greatings everyone.need a little help. A couple of days ago I downloaded the scenery for the new Bangkok airport and last night I was going to install it. On reading the readme file it states that I require the "actigate" module/software in order for the scenery to work correctly. Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of this please as I can't seem to find it anywhere?Regards

Hi guys.For a while now I've been looking for a decent freeware panel for a 757.I'm looking for one with the full start-up precedures (fully functioning APU, hydraulics, electrics, etc). I found a quite good one in the ATA virtual fleet, but the hyraulics seem faulty, and the sounds appear to be out.After startup, the hydraulics seem to not work at all on most occasions, so the flaps won't extend/retract. To make them extend or retract I would have to turn all the pumps off, then back on again which, as you can imagine, is incredibly irritating.Also the sound engine is problematic because if I reach v1, v2 and rotate speeds, it will make the windows error noise. I have the Aerosoft DHC-2 Beaver. If anyone has it or a similar one here is a great read. Is there any way to adjust what runways are being used when the wind is calm? For example, LAX uses the 25s and 24s for the most part, and when winds are calm, the ATC wants to open up what I think is the closest runway to the north heading (runway 6 and 7)Is there any way to change this?And what is the standard runway being opened by the ATC when winds are calm, is it closest to north heading?Thanks

Hi All,I have certain static apron buses in several sceneries, like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangkok Suvarnhabhumi, Bahrain and others which I'm sure are common MACROs.However, during daytime they look just GREY, while at night, textures are Okay and they look great.I've done some research, but cannot manage to identify which textures are missing for this APRON BUSES to look great at day as well.Your help will be highly appreciatedFortunato

I have a very large array of GoFlight hardware (inlcuding the GoFlight MCP PRO) which all works with my extensive FS9 fleet as well as the whole PMDG and Level-D series. My question is, will the PSS 777 for FS9 also work with all this GoFlight hardware? I have held off buying the PSS 777 because it appeared to be glitchy judging by posts ages ago; I don't know if PSS has fixed the glitches. But I felt I could deal with routine glitches/twitches as long as it would at least work with GoFlight hardware.Appreciate any posts and advice, thanks!JS

I asked this question in the RFP forum last week, but it doesn't seem to get a lot of traffic, no help so far.About 15 months ago, when it was still payware, I bought the RFP747. I never actually flew it since I purchased it for systems training and just practiced C&D starts etc.After a reinstall of FS9, I reinstalled it using the latest (now freeware) download, which appears to be identical in file size to my old one. I read on a forum that the passenger loader and fuel loader should be used instead of the FS9 method. Hi everyone, Can anyone offer advice? I've noticed when watching my AI aircraft at airports that any aircraft arriving at the runway hold point for departure are told to wait due a plane on approach. This is obviously correct however the approching aircraft is sometimes 10nm out and in my view offers the departing aircraft plenty of time to be able to takeoff.My question is - Is there any way to change the distance timings whereby an aircraft is allowed to go while another is on approach? Is there any tool etc in FSTraffic or within avsim?Thank you in Advance :)

I've re-worked this airport per the specs after the extensive rennovation. Having problems getting the runways to show correctly in FSNavigator database. I have the ILS set for 15L/R and 18L/R per the airport specs, but it seems the runway 36 in hard coded and the frequencies show differently than they do in my AFCAD. My AFCAD shows all frequencies correctly per the airport published information but my FS Nav map shows things that AFCAD doesn't. How can I get rid of rwy 36/18. There's no such thing anymore as it's now 36L/R 18L/R. I notice sometimes FS Nav doesn't show the airport as AFCAD does. Thanks for any feedback.
