In FS9 it seems the lowest frequency you can dial in is 118.0 but airports like KJFK have ATIS frequencies in lower #'s like 115.4 or 117.XX. Any way to tune those in or do we just have to assign ficticious frequencies within the 118 to 135.0 range

No one has mentioned the FREE rocktman (articale now on avsim.) It's free and really flys well. I now have every "mode" of flight in FS2004 EXCEPT a boat. Is thee a "flyable" boat anywhere? jerrycwo4

You will be my last chance to solve this problem:Please see the screenshots attached.As you can see I am having in the screen a lot of flashing "points" that I am not being able to avoid. ( In the screenshot seems to be showed less points as in the real ).I had reinstall the FS9, have changed catalyst drivers several times, scaned, defraged, installed all kind of new drivers for my hardware including MOBO, etc. Have removed the case and cleaned the computer of any dust. Cleaned for virus and spyware, changed all kind of settings from both the catalyst center and from the BIOS. I have just reinstalled fs2004 (and fsx) with all the addons I have, which is quit a job. As I knox that one day my system can get instable, I would like to have a backup. Is it possible to take sort of an image of only the fs-programs without having to backup all of windows vista too?

I returned to a saved flight in FS9 where I had left off at KACY. I decided to fly to KLGA. I was in the F1 ATR-72. I entered the default flight planner, set my route and imported it to the FMC. For some reason I could not set the arrival and departure runways into the FMC, finally just left NORAY be my first waypoint instead of the runway at KACY.Next I attempted to file my plan with ATC. Only ground options. Twice I went to the map and changed my heading by one degree; hoping ATC would refresh and give me the option to file IFR. Hi folks. I have a question regarding CTD's around the Seattle area. I did a search and found a couple of posts on this subject, but no real answers. Here are the condidtions. I fly the PMDG 737 out of KSEA. Shortly after departure to the north heading to the BANGR intersection I get a CTD. Now, flying from Vancouver CYVR to KSEA at the same time of day and season no problem. I have been able to duplicate this CTD a few times and it seems to happen at almost the same point every time. I am running UT USA and regular GE. I do not have UT Canada, just UT USA. Is there some type of a bug perhaps when crossing the border in to Canada. I look forward to any help on this. I wou…

I know, I know stuttering can be caused by SO MANY things, but please allow me to explain my situation so someone might be able to help me narrow it down.When I start a flight in FS9, everything run well at first. It isn't until about 1 hour into the flight session things degrade and the stuttering begins. HiI have problems with default and dreamfactory Brusseless (EBBR).When I load for example active rwy with day settings, I have got CTD (Fs9.1 stop responding). Same with Dreamfactory. If I set night setting, everything is OK.Sometimes it works without CTD, but usually FS9.1 stop responding.Only at EBBRI have Ground Env.My conf:Intel C2 E6750ATI 2900PRO 1Gb RAM2GB DDR 800Thanks

Hi: Two separate questions: May have been answered previously but its been a while since I checked in.1. My aircraft seem to be taking a long time to get up to t/o speed. Even the Cessna 185 requires almost the full runway. On the heavies I have adjusted the weight, but even so I am almost at the end of any runway before lift off. Watching at the local (Thunder Bay, ON) airport I find that the FS aircraft take almost twice as much runway.2. Making turns while taxiing with some models is frustrating. They just do not turn fast enough. I wind up going off the runway to make a wide turn to line up, or I miss the taxiway and cut across the grass. Again, real aircraf…

I tried twice to register on their forums but I keep getting a debug email error (whatever that means) and have ran out of email accounts to try and login...so I seek help here.I have read many of the problems KPVD can have and feel my problem has not been mentioned. When I'm at KSFZ at the approach end of 23 I lose the ground textures and see basic textures. However, its only when I am looking ahead. From lets say 10:30 to 2:30 if ahead is noon. If I pan left or right the textures pop back and I see the real addon scenery.I'm using FS9.1, KPVD is the highest priorty in my library, I have no Ultimate terrain, Free Flow or Manhattan addons. Hi,Like subject says I'm having some render problems.When I run FS9 or FSX planes doesn't have textures (outside and inside, virtual Cockpit).That's what happensAnd when I go fly and power up the engine there are some sound issues (the engines fade out) but when the engines are at full power sound is fine again :SActually I've tried to re-install DirectX 9.0C, Change Graphics driver (ati) and nothing changed :(

Hello all,Just as I get one problem taken care of another is there waiting to take it's place. When I try to start FS9 I get an error message saying 'flight simulator has experienced a problem and needs to close'. The error is showing d3d9.dll. Any clues as to what is wrong?Thanks Scott

My computer takes about 4 minutes to shut down. The local computer store guru cleaned up my computer, but told me that the McAffee anti virus, fire wall software was the culprit.I have read that AVG anti virus, fire wall software has less of an effect on the computer. Does anyone have experience with AVG, and is it as computer friendly as I have heard? Does it do a good job?Thanks.Stanner

Hi all, I installed CF9,Then TrackIR (was working)then active camera. Now TrackIr is inop,even after uninstalling active camera.I get the head movements in the TIR menu,but nothing in the sim. Any ideas? What am I missing? Thanks from Jim

Does anyone have Aerosoft's FOC - Flight Operations Center? I read a review on it and it says it has an extremely high learning curve and comes with limited documentation. I'm no novice but I am sure no expert flightsimmer either. It is for both FS9 and FSX. Any feedback on whether it is recommended or not is appreciated. Thanks. Tom
