Hi, I wasn't sure where this thread should go because I'm not really sure if it's a hardware issue, I really think this is a software problem. I didn't seem to have this problem before. So anyway, my problem is that if a download a scenery for example when I extract it to my FS directory it is really slow, doesn't matter how big each file is it is really really slow anyone else have this problem before? I can install my megascenery or any other program from CD/DVD to HD and it's normal, but extracting from HD to HD is incredibly slow, took me almost 40 minutes to extract a 40mb scenery to my FS directory. Hi Gang.I have both of the above, and some of the re-paints made by others. fantastic planes they are too.But, how do you engage the APP feature on this panel, I can see the alt hold, speed hold and hdg, but no approach engage button.Unless I am missing something somewhere.Also, where is this button that you can re-set the drogue shoot after landing if you intend to use it again.Many thanks for any help.

I wonder if someone could explain the entries atc_type= and atc_model= in the aircraft.cfg file.My EditVoicePack installation's 'View Missing' screen has a whole list of Aircraft Types and Aircraft Models that it doesn't recognise. What I don't understand are the following points:1. Whereas, for example, A300 is accepted as an Aircraft Model identifier for one a300 aircraft, it is not accepted for a different a300 aircraft (different a/c folder) I have installed. Why would it be OK for one and not the other?2. Why do many entries for atc_type mix bold and small case letters? I've noticed this, for years in fact, but never really understood why this is done. Have been dealing with a very annoying problem with several of my addon aircraft for quite some time. During level flight with autothrottle engaged, the power "surges" up and down. This happens in all types of weather and at different weights and speeds. Have posted about this is all the affected aircraft forums with almost zero response. Have done alot of searching and could find several references to this issue with no solutions. The closest thing I encountered was a reference to suppressing pressure changes in FSUIPC. I know that the keyboard commands of Shift+1 thru Shift+9 will open various windows listed in the panel.cfg file, but my question is this.Is it possible to have more than 9 different windows defined in the panel.cfg, and if so, what keystrokes do you use to open them?I've seen some panels with a window10 and window11, but I can't figure out how to get them displayed.Sorry for such a basic question...Thanks,Jim

Hello AllI use the very nice PSS panel in my 737 6,7,8,and 900 series aircraft from POSKY i believe that these are the NG series.I do like to do things in a reasonably accurate way when using panels and was wondering in the real world would the 737 300 400s etc the latest models have the same sort of panels as the 7,800s etc if they do then i would add the PSS to my own 3 and 400s.When i was going through the initial learning phase of passenger jet flying i used to use the 737/400 a lot,but now i rarely use it because the panels available are rather poor compared to the PSS and others panels i use.Basically can i use the PSS in the 3 400s and feel comfortable that its rea…

Hello,I just recognized that I somehow lost Autogen Alpha Fading in FS9, somewhere, somehow, lately, and I miss it, as Autogen is popping up now almost as *ugly* as in FSX.I think I remember that it worked before I upgraded to a 8800GT card and 169.02 drivers. OS = XP. Driver issue? Geforce 8 cards no longer support Alpha Fading in FS9?It's strange. We received a new FAA notice concerning the A380 a few days ago. The A380 will not be referred to as a Heavy in US ATC communications. The suffix "Super" will be used in all communications about the A380. Also more stringent separation criteria is required. For instance, A Heavy behind a heavy on final only require 4 miles of separation. A heavy aircraft behind an A380 requires six miles now. A small behind an A380 requires a whopping ten miles of wake turbulence separation. I wonder what the major airport ATC's think about that?

For whatever reason, AM Smooth V1.20 doesn't like directing traffic at RKSI (Incheon). At about 20 miles out I get that error "AI SMooth has encountered and error... bla bla bla" and off she goes. Haven't noticed it at any other airports I've visited. It was working great. I haven't monkeyed with many of the settings and I'm using the default airport with an updated AFCAD. Anyone else running into a problem here? Need help. Got jets piling up at Incheon! ;)Thanks,

Hi all,This problem has been annoying me for a extremely long amount of time now and I'd really like to know if there is a way to fix it. I have tried many driver versions with and without nHancer and no matter what combination of settings I use (trust me I've tried countless combinations in FS Settings/Driver Settings/nHancer) I cannot fix it. I can't get the engines to kick over when starting from cold and dark. I've installed the panel correctly, and have read the manual and (I thought) I was doing everything in exactly the right sequence and manner, but the engines won't start unless I use the old ctrl-e command.I've aliased the panel in both the POSKY 737-700 and the default 737-400 and neither will start after I get them to 20% N2. Can someone help a relative noob figure out what he's done wrong in the middle of the night?Thanks in advance.Chuck B.

How do I keep aircraft from staying in a turn? On my 787 when I go into a turn, I want it to snap back to wings level quicker than it does but I'm not sure what scalar affects that. It will stay in the turn for a very long time and it's hard to bring it back. It handles much heavier in that respect than it should.

I started a flight at Alert, Northwest Territories (CYLT) just for fun. 82.31 degrees north, pretty barren up there. The problem is that when I took off and looked behing the aircraft, the terrain was doing really funny things. The aircraft stayed (appropriately) lined up on the extended centerline of the runway, and the runway itself looked (and behaved) perfectly fine. But the terrain itself was sliding quickly from right to left. The aircraft stayed on the extended cenerline, like I said, but the airport went from being surrounded by grass, to being surrounded by ice, as the terrain slid by underneath it. It was obviously quite strange, and obviously not intended…

Hello AllI have a number of POSKY 737/700s and they are excellent BUT! i notice when night flying that although you get cockpit lights,there are no passenger cabin lights.Strangely my VA(Euroharmony)use the 737/800 (also by POSKY)and this DOES display cabin lights.I took the aircraft CFGs from both models to see if i could get a clue there,but they both appear to be the same.So if anyone knows how to add cabin night lighting to the POSKY 737/700S I would appreciate it if you could tell me how to do it.cheers Andy
