Hi, Have been using Abacus Copilot for a while now. However when I go into my documents folder where flights are saved also, there is a red plugin symbol. When I click on any of the flights, I get a message saying windows cannot open this program. Windows needs to know what program created it. I was trying to create a flight in Europe but it would'nt show up in copilot. Now I know why because of this plugin problem. Anybody know what this could mean? I'm at a lost. Never seen this before. Thank you.

How do you tell what mesh is more detailed/accurate? I see some mesh is labled 38.2m.

Took off from Penticton, CYYF and dialed 374 on the NDB...enroute to that navaid the mileage readout was climbing instead of decreasing...any fix for this?tks

I'm stumped on how to select a frequency on either Nav2 & Comm2 and how to select the altitude in the AP, without just hovering the mouse over the readout,am I missing somethings? DP1

I recently got Heathrow 2008 for FS2004 by Aerosoft. It is totally fantastic and works great. But I have an issue in that the approach lights are horrifically large and burn like massive fires from about 3nm inbound and also the taxi lights all over Heathrow are huge green and fuzzy, especially at dusk and night.I run FS2004 on triple LCDs at 3840x1024x32 and Heathrow 2008 is the only airport which has this issue to a really significant extent. I also have Blueprint's KIAD for FS2004 and some of their ground lights, like runway turnoff lights, seem to be exactly the same as those in Heathrow 2008: large, fanlike things with excessive size, brightness, and light. This has been nagging me so long I finally thought I would post. Did a lot of searches but found no answers. Subject says it all. Can't keep the engines running when I leave slew mode (not too good on final!).I know about the F1 key but that is for a different reason. My default setup on my laptop works fine so I know it must be something I have done in the past... fs9.cfg? A button assignment?If anyone out there discovered the cure would sure appreciate it.

This evening I've noticed a significant drop in fps in fs9 when moving the (wireless) mouse around the screen .. Situation is typically: default flight, a/c at Inverness. Before I'd be getting a steady 40fps. Since this evening, I notice that the fps fluctuates between 37-40fps, then when I move the mouse (for example to switch the lights on, engines etc) the fps drop to 24-30fps. Lots of disc crunching ensues, then eventually the fps crawls back to 38fps. Then when I move the mouse, same thing again .. I bought the new Carenado Mooney this evening but this was the only major change to my fs9 set-up. I un-installed the mooney to see if that might be causing conflicts, bu…

I can't believe that this aircraft's autopilot would not have an altitude hold feature?!?!?If so, I can't see the button on the Nav 300A panel, or how do engage it if not?It is such a PAIN to be constantly adjusting throttle and trim to maintain altitude. You would think that a plane of this cost would have a method to hold altitude other than the PIC!If anybody has this plane, and knows...could you drop me a reply?Thanks!Mitch

Hi guys, I bought FSX a couple weeks ago and I'm not very pleased with its performance on my system. My FS9 looks ways better - and runs much faster - with all the add-ons I have. The only thing I LOVE about FSX are the water mirror reflections. Is there a way to transfer those into FS9? Has anyone tried it? The trees and lights reflected on the water are breath taking... Anyway, you guys' help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks!

I've placed several airports (folders) in my Add-On Scenery folder and have then gone to my Scenery Library and added those folders to the library. My question is whether I should leave the "Add-On Scenery" checked in the library (I'm referring to the generic item, if that makes any sense) as well? Thanks!!!!!

I know this is an old topic and have read all the links but I am still having a problem installing FSManager.I run fsm285.zip and patch it with fsmgr.zip but all I get is a white box pointing to my fs9 directory with fs2004 ticked but that is it! nothing else happens. Does anybody know anything about the Abacus Aircraft Collectors: 2nd Edition? PC Aviator has it for USD$19.95. It caught my eye because in their catalog it was right below Aerosofts' DHC2 Beaver which I'm going to buy. Since the S/H is only 50-cents for each additional item I thought why not buy it? The Abacus Aircraft Collectors: 2nd Edition has over 20-aircraft, too. When I looked for it on the Abacus site I didn't see it so I thought maybe it's a discontinued item that dealers like PC Aviator are selling for what I feel is a low price. --Roger

Hi,I've noticed several posts in the forum from people complaining that some addon or other has increased their CPU usage to 100%. Isn't that normal? My P4 3.2 GHz CPU is always at 100% from the moment I start FS9 (not automatically loading a flight, just displaying the opening window where I can create a flight or whatever) until I shut it down.
