Hello all, I posted this as well in the FSA forum, but it seems really quiet there, so thought I would try here as well: Hi All,I have used FSA since the first release, and never had issues with it - it always did what it was supposed to based on my settings.For the last week or so, I have run into an intermittent problem during the startup sequence. During the memory defrag (after all services are stopped), it gets whacked and only leaves me with 500 something mb of free memory, after starting the shutdown sequnce with 700 something. This happens maybe 1 in 4 runs. When it works the other 3 out of 4 times, I start with around 750mb, and end up with around 850mb.Somethin…

Hi thereAfter a fresh install of fs9 I installed the Hellenic scenery project (HSP) base scenery v2 and I have a problem with two overlapping scenery buildings over the center of Athens. I see they are not goin got let us voice our opinions on their forum about this product so I guess we will have to develop a consensus here. Anyone get this product yet? How is it. It would be appreciated if your opinion comes from experience with flight sim and addons and/or real world experience. I don't like using the "CTRL E" command to start the engines in the default jets, but I can't figure out how to turn the radio stack on if I don't. Can anyone tell me how to do that?Thanks in advance to the group.

Hi folks. I am trying to clean up a couple AFCAD by placing the traffic at the correct gates. This shouldn't be a real hard task, but I need to find a utility or a list of what FS9 and AI manufactures commanly use for parking codes, ie. Spirit Airlines=NKS, American=AAL, Delta=DAL. I know I could search all my AI cfg's for them but with hundreds of airlines and cargo lines it would take me forever. Hey simmers, i have a pretty nice rig setup and i cannot understand why i keep crashin. current specs are: Asus P5N-32E SLIIntel C2D [email protected] Kingston Value RamNvidia EVGA 8800GTS 640mbFlight sim runs perfect until i start my descent. Like the other day i was doing a KSFO-KEWR and as i started my descent it just crashed, saying fs9 hgas encountered an error check if you want to restart. I get 40+ frames. (locked at 33). Please help i dont understand why it would be crashing. I dont think its the addons because it happens with any addon. Hi allThis might be a really silly question but can anyone just run through what you have to do to add an airport to fs9. I am trying to update some of my airports and am adding VTBS. I have added the scenery that I want (buildings show OK but not the taxiways or runways)? Just want to know how I should do this properly as their are several add ons that need the airport code (VTBS). I have also added an AFCAD but thats as far as I have got so far. If anyone could just run through what you should do for this process it would be my mind at rest to make sure that I am doing it right?Thanks for your help! :)

I'm usually pretty good about troubleshooting FS, but this one has me stumped. When I load an enroute saved flight, the sim will freeze for several minutes, but the sound is running. I can only exit after it finally "loads", but am treated to the same problem if I switch views. And this doesn't seem to be consistent, sometimes a saved flight will load fine, especially if I start on the ground. Happens to different aircraft as well. Anyone have a similar experience?Thanks

I have seen threads in this forum where Holger has posted screenshots of his scenery library, with the landclass files grouped pretty much per country towards the bottom of the library (an arrangement I have adopted too).However, in some addons, such as the BC Victoria scenery - in which Holger himself had a hand (vicenh05.zip), the installation instructions and screenshots show the landclass folders placed above the scenery itself. I know that LC is like normal scenery (and unlike mesh), the higher up the library it is the higher its priority, but in effect being shown opposite installation instructions like this is proving a bit confusing.Elucidation welcome! :-)Thanks…

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any real flights on a Citation X. I have the Eaglesoft CX and just flew from KPHL to John Wayne KSNA in California in 4h 38m. I thought Wow! I know this is a fast plane but it didn't hit me until after the flight. Is this a realistic flight time for the CX from takeoff to touchdown? I was showing mach .83 after reaching fl 410. Thanks. I do realize that by now FS-X has become your flag ship but i don't know if you realize that but there are a lot of people who stilll use Flight simulator 9.Recently i've bought the new Nvidia 8800GT 512mb and the drivers that came from it were terrible because they didnt enable AA in fs2004 and the performence are terrible i also tried the recent 169.2 drivers which produced the same poor results.Is there any way you could contact the Nvidia Team and notify them about it ??I dont know who else to turn toThanks,Mike.

I was wondering if anyone using this program has noticed that the airports have less traffic now. Notified airnavsystems about it and they told me it was a problem with the FAA server and was going to be fixed. It seems it hasn't been fixed. Anybody know what's going on?

Hi!I have anti-aliasing turned off in FS9, and instead I have it turned on in the settings for FS9 in my NVIDIA control panel. But it doesn't work, I don't get any anti-aliasing netiher in window mode or fullscreen mode. Hi.Does anybody know how to solve the problems with managed or selected speed.The problem is that I cannot slow down the aircraft neither in selected or managed mode.To be more precise, I'm in approach and approach phase is activated I see the speed target value on PFD for example 140kt but aircraft is catching selected speed to slowly. And speed brake have 0% effectiveness.What to change in air file or cfg file to solve the problem?The aircraft behaves as drag no exist.Thanks in advanceEdin

Hi all, for some reason my FS9 keeps on minimizing ever 1 to 2 minutes then Im back to the desktop and I have to click on the task bar and open it again. Its getting really annoying. One time when It was minimized I got a secirity download for "simcast alerts". Done know what that is. Anyone got some insite at what is going on?Thanks,Bill

Hi simmersI need your input badly. I had a problem with my machine just booting to the DT and then it would restart again. Loaded XP with the old one still there. Now I have duplicated files for my aircraft due to the re-install. Which one do I remove/delete or is there a program that I can use to delete the duplicate files? Please HELP!!!!!!!!Corrie

Can anyone help me please when I start up FS9 it loads into the so called opening screen as soon as it loads on the "Create a flight" screen it just locks up & the area where you normally view the aircraft is just black, HOWEVER If I omit the opening screen via the FS9.cfg file so it loads up straight into a flight then: if I end the flight it takes me back to the "select a flight" screen, then when I click on "Create a flight" it loads up & works normally, but if I re-select the opening screen again in the FS.cfg & reload FS it comes onto the "Create a flight" screen & still locks up. any ideas of whats happened here or how I can rectify it without a rein…
