Anyone know where I can download "YAFFSCREEN?" Not "YAFSSCREEN!!":-)

Something is screwed up in my scenery or textures or whatever. Have been using this program for years, and have over a month and a half on my new system (imac). All was fine until a few days ago, it crashed if I loaded a day flight. (At CYXY). Night was ok, but any daytime load would crash to desktop.Turns out this behaviour has been reported with fall textures and Ultimate Terrain Canada (which I have). Went to a us airport - sim was normal.Tried uninstalling UT - didn't work. I've used every configuration of words to attempt to "search" for the answer to this question. How can I assign the buttons on my external(n52) keypad to work the Garmin 500 GPS? In the Learning Center it says "keys can be mapped-see 'using the keyboard' which did not help. Is the only way to go by purchasing FSUIPC, or am I just not looking in the right places?hope this is the right forum!!thanks for any help! skip

I was wondering if a few of you out there could try a test on their copy of FS9. Using a Bombadier Lear Jet 25, go to KCPR (Natrona Co Intl) and the active runway (should be runway 30) then fly straight out until you see a couple of streams/rivers and put your plane between them. Now let the lear jet go with no auto-pilot, full throttle, etc and it should start doing loops. The thing I'm looking for is if anyone else sees a darker texture being drawn on the ground underneath the plane. The interesting thing is when I go to FSX and repeat the test the exact same phenomenon appears so it appears not to be related to any "bad" textures since it repeats in both versions. I ha…

I'm experiencing an uncommanded minimizing of FS9 about every 10 minutes, regardless of the any situation. Norton Spyware/Firewall, etc stuff has been turned off, however this situation contiues to occur regardless. Any ideas?

HelloI am still on FS9.1I read that a new version of DirectX9 is available for download. Twice now I've had a CTD when using the PMDG 737-700 with FS2Crew along with RC and AES. Once at tyhe end of the flight on approach to SFO and just now lining up or t/o at SAN. I've never had CTD's before, the only thing new is AES. Can anyone tell me how to get the landing lights back in fs-9 panel view, I can see the landing lights in the outside view + in the VC view but when im in the 2D panel view i cant see the lights thanks.

Hi guys, I had to reformat my machine, but before reformating, I copy my entire FS9 directory to a secondary USB HD. I reinstalled FS9 and worked fine, but once I copied everything from the USB HD to the new HD including my config file, FS9 wont load. The splash screen shows up and then disappears and FS wont load. Im uninstalling the whole thing again, but it looks like I should not have copied every single file again from the old build. Does anyone confirm this?Thanks,Bill

I have been trying, in vain, to edit the preferred taxi route to a runway in AFCAD. What I am trying to do is get aircraft at Schiphol Amsterdam to taxi across runway 36C/18C in order to get to the Polderbaan 36L/18R. The problem is when I use AFCAD to close runway 36C/18R, the ai aircraft always taxi via taxiway zulu, which takes them right around the threshold of runway 36C/18R meaning they never take the shorter, more realistic route. I have tried in AFCAD to close taxiway zulu by creating a closed taxiway link, but no matter what, the ai always seem to use this taxiway. I want them to follow a shorter route (as they do in real life, so that they taxi via taxiway Delta…

Does anyone know why this would happen, no matter what plane I have loaded? I was using current date, time and season and getting cosistent CTDs about 60 seconds after take off. If I swith to Summer, no problems whatsoever.I've removed all add on scenery and AFCADs (I think) which consisted of nothing more than Fly Tampa's KSEA and still have the problem. What's the deal with this?

In full sceen mode I'am getting mouse flicker. This happens with all sceneries and aircraft. Is there anyway to resolve this?Any assistance very much appreciated.RegardsGerry

I have not seen a good or even an exciting release in months except for imaginesims kmci for FS9. I have installed FSX 2xs and removed it 2xs since all my money and performance is with FS9.What gets me is that the frequency of new releases for FS9 has been greatly diminished since FSX came on board. I hope all you wonderful and talented developers know that we FS9 users are strong in numbers and that your efforts will not be wasted.My ThoughtsAndy

Hi, this happens when I'm flying the CLS A333 (haven't tried on other aircraft), after flying for some time the whole screen will go black and I have to close FS9 and restart it. Is there anyone else with this problem?

Hi EveryoneA while back I recall reading an article or perhaps even a review of a program that added several additional voices and accents to the ATC controllers, even going so far as to change the voice of the controller when you passed into their respective countries. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does this sound familiar to anyone, or am I fantasizing about what would seem to be a fantastic program waiting to be written??? Thanks.Liam

Hi All,Today I found the solution for my memory leak problem.I usually fly using A330-300 PW and RR. (FS2004)When flying from WIII-WSSS and get the VC on... from WinXP Task manager, the FS9 memory usage is always ended up at more than 1GB... and sometimes I got crash because of memory overflow...I noticed that CLS put all VC textures on "FS2004Texture" folder instead of in each aircraft texture folder and I recalled that I've ever had the same memory leak problem (but for scenery), which is caused by duplicate texture files on scenery texture and main FS9 texture folder... the duplicate texture files can cause memory leak.....Then I decided to move the texture into each a…

Is there something I can do to fix this? Everything in 2D panel mode looks real blurry. My last computer was real sharp, so maybe I'm missing some setting? My specs are below in sig.Thanks!

I've never had jaggies before. My AA on my card was at 4, so I tried 8s which is the next option up, no luck, so I tried AA within FS, no luck. I have my max vertex level at 19, usually I have it set at 21 but it causes flickering. Is max vertex level causing my jaggies? Like I said earlier, I've had FS9 installed previously on this very same computer and have had no problems with jaggies. I have an E6600 O'Ced to 2.7 and an nVidia 7600GT. Here's a screenshot. HiI am a newcomer to everything "beyond what's in the box" in terms of enhancing FS2004 and was wondering if problems would result from using AI traffic from say, Project AI and World of AI simultaneously. Can they coexist? Once an AI set is installed does FS's ATC control AI traffic or does each respective add-on handle their respective traffic? Thanks for any and all advice!Liam

i just dowloaded active camera 2.1 for fs9.1 and cannot get demo to work while in vc mode(have not tried any other features.)i'm in ksea area so what gives?? can anyone offer any suggestions?

tim:when i first received the product i read the manual before even loading the aircraft into my sim. i then re-read those parts where technically different than the boeing aircraft i had been flying (DF 737 and wilco/PIC 767).i then started to fly the aircraft. the manual was at my side for 'quick reference'.when flights didn't go as they should i would re-read the manual 'bits' that needed review.so ... in the end i used the manual every time i flew for many many months. as i would gain new aircraft in my 'hanger' i would drift away from the Abus and when i 'came back' would need to look at the manual again to 'remind me how the Abus works.'--
