I've installed Win 10 along with Fs9 on two laptops and 7 months later this still isn't fixed. The bug when you are in full screen and you it the alt key to bring up the menu and the whole screen goes dark, if you want to to get to the menu you have to go to windowed mode first. Well this just won't do. Especially if youre running FSNavigator. Win 10 basically breaks Fs9. Any fixes for thia? I'm going to cross post this in the FS9 so hope that's ok. I need to find an answer to this.

hi there, i was wondering if anybody knows of a afcad file for the London Gatwick airport with the airbridge, i cant seen to find one published for the fs9, if anyone can help please post the link or anything i would be most greatful

I am getting a crash on fs9 now when switching from tower to ground. I have tried switch manually and using the one in the atc box but both crash me. Any fixes?

After many years away from FS9 I'm getting back into it and having fun. Besides a few Carenado planes bought over the Holidays, it's still a stock install on Win 7. Runs almost too smoothly as I float around and over the runways before flare. Seems like the flight model may be more accurate but a bit too lofty? Anyway, a different topic. I have many, many old Megascenery CDs in the box with maps. What is the general opinion on these? Not a fan of photo scenery now, but might be better than stock ...and I already own them. Maybe 10+ years old? Also have LevelD 767 and a few others. Bought Dreamfleet, but not sure they're even activating them anymore? Lo…

I have everything on high except mip maps. No lens flare too since for some reason that helped a bit. I though the highest fs9 would need would be a 512mb card on this 2003 game. I am only using 20% CPU and it seems the only thing high enough to cause fps to go down is my iGPU

my PNW apts upgd RWY12 does not place the Seeve Kahn human forms onto the frames. It only position the frames but no human forms. it used to work perfectly. I tried removing it and reinstalling it but to no avail. JGSJW

None of the threads I have read from Googling this have helped, so far... I can see the landing lights from my cockpit (in this case Mike Stone's Lockheed TriStar), blindingly so (no good for taxiing), but the taxi light, bright from the exterior, doesn't illuminate anything from the cockpit, so taxiing after dark isn't really possible. I tried changing the taxi light for the landing light fx file (in the aircraft.cfg panel), but when used as a taxi light (I set it to no. "6" so that it comes on OK when I switch on the taxi light in the cockpit) the landing light doesn't illuminate the a/c's path at all, as it does when used as a landing light, so it's not inheren…

I get this (inaccurate) message sometimes, like just now flying happily from KSEA to CYVR. I thought it was a thing of the past: my PC has certainly not run out of memory - my O/S is Windows 7 x64 with 16GBs of RAM installed. My desktop CPU usage meter showed that there are still well over 11GBs of physical RAM free at the time FS9 crashed and the page file (I have it set to 1024MBs fixed - partly to stop it resizing itself on my SSDs) shows 0% usage. I would increase the page file, but as it is hardly ever even used, what would be the point? Hi All, Happy New Year! I have recently changed computer, I now use a desktop with Win7 x64 I transferred all the stuff I had on my previous machine (Win XP) but when I tried to add the excellent Airtours texture from Avsim Library to my LH Maddog although the parts transferred the same as before FS 2004 couldn't see it, all the liveries from Maddog were there and selectable but the Airtours was not. So questions, does the Airtours texture work with Win7? or is the problem the fact that it is x64? the previous computer was as I said Win XP x32 Professional. Any ideas? mog

I haven't used FSPassengers in some time, but decided this morning to get reacquainted. I had also forgotten that FSPassengers adds engine jet thrust sounds as you spool up for take-off. That was a pleasant surprise again. With EVO2015, ASE,REX2004 Extreme, of course------> FSPassenger 2004, and and a great Posky WestJet 737...with some rather nasty Winter weather this morning, that had the passengers concerned, rotating out of Toronto Pearson, into the mix...it is the start of a good flight. I just pumped booze into the passenger cabin, with a movie just starting. That seemed to distract their faces from being plastered against the cabin windows, lol! …

Has anyone experienced installed scenery not showing when searching the "Airport ID" from the main menu, but when flying it's active in the game? I installed A_A Sceneries Bangkok Airport Vol 1, Suvarnabhumi International, and activated it via internet as directed. At the main page, when I access the "selected location" and type VTBS into the "Airport ID" it doesn't show up. However, I can fly to VTBS and the scenery is there. I can land at the airport and slew around looking at the terminals and AI Aircraft parked, taking off, and landing. While parked, I even tried searching via "Go to Airport" and it still doesn't show up. I've never experienced this before. So…

I have the problem with flickering switches in the overhead panel in LH Maddog for FS9. I have downloaded and installed the fix flickering switches script from the Maddog website. Still the flickering switches remains. I use Win 7 x64. I have asked this in the Maddog supportforum but havn't seen any responses for a week or so so I try here. Any idea what I could do?

hi Guys just a general question on descent preparations with thr b747-400 I usually set my Vref using predicted Fuel at destination & ZFW but can you tell me what other calculations your making during flight and prior to descent.? Also, I enter my MDA/DH in Baro for my Precision or non precision approaches but are you using the Radio area on he EFIS fo anything? Could I also clarify lights on take-off are only Inb/Outbd Landing lights, Strobes, Nav Lights, Wing Lights Logo (if req) all other lights ie rwy turnoff & Taxi are off sorry for so many questions really appreciate your guidance ! Folks, is there something that I can set, or use to tone down the 'brightness' of FS9? I'd like my FS9 a little darker than what it is now...default...and just like in XPlane, in that, you have a setting that can be set to a higher, or lower number to do just what I am asking.... Mitch

I tweaked this file to give great terrain definition, but not alter/darken too much, the sky color, or lake bodies. I paid particular attention to keeping a hue of blue on the water bodies, yet...brought out the contrast on ground textures, summer, autumn and winter for Saschas's EVO textures. I worked with the color correction section, until I got what you see here for this winter shot. Right click to bring up the full picture and detail..and then glance just before the nose of the plane at that large lake down there...still has good definition on surface and pleasing color, while the snow and barren fields, have stark texture. How does Windows/FS9 use the "User/ApplicationData/Microsoft/FS9" folder which contains a large number of traffic.bgl's. Some traffic.blg's that are located in this folder are not in my World/Scenery folder and vice versa, while most are contained in both. Shouldn't all traffic.blg files be located within the FS9 scenery folders?

I just saw on Simmarket the REX has made Soft Clouds for FS9. This is a nice surprise for me because I have and like all the FS9 stuff REX has made, and thought they were done with FS9 a long time ago.
