Hi not sure if this is the forum for this issue so applogies if its not. I have FS2004 with IFly B747-400 only when I fly in to Gatwick (UK2000) loc/gs captured approach height/spd set correctly coming in on ILS 110.90 /079 the aircraft flies in to the rwy almost diagonally before struggling to land, approach spdVREF are set correctly and landing with autopilot engaged. Just wonder what could be causing this I have had 3 flights 1 successful 2 the same problem. Any suggestions would be most appreciated Thank You Richard

Trying to fly FS9 after using FSX for awhile. When I attempt to open FS9 I get a "Access Denied" window telling me to please login w/admin privlidges and try again" I have proper privlidge but still no FS9. Using the #4 disc in Any Xmas help??

Well, I saw Carenado's sale event, and now I have a dilemma: which one should I buy? I'm thinking about the 182RG for FS9 I already have the M20J and the C208. I still keep the Mooney in my sim; however, because of the poor framerate in the VC and the not-so-convincing FDE, I uninstalled the Caravan. I'm not sure if the latest Carenado releases present this very same issue. Any other recommendations?

I've been wanting to install FS9 and just came across the "Century of Flight" tin with all CD's ; ) The install went fine. I rebooted. I left CD 4 in the drive. Went to run it, but nothing happens. Installed the FS9.1 patch. Tried running from the .exe, then tried setting compatibility to Win XP SP2 and SP3, run as admin. Then loaded the old MS 9.0c Direct X library. Nothing. Then installed the 2010 Direct X libraries, rebooted, but same problem. I ran across an old thread here and tried everything suggested. Could it be that (Win 7 64-bit) FS9.1 isn't finding the My Documents folder? Should I try creating one? Not sure where to go from here…

Hi Good People, Just a heads up for those that might be interested - Edward and I are off on a fun tangent from the India Scenery Project by creating some historical (partly fictional) renditions of several 1930's airfields in Manchukuo. Edward got hold of a book "The Eagles of Manchukuo 1932-45" a couple of months ago and also sent me a copy. We have focussed on a major aviation company for the region and 1930's era (Manchukuo Aviation Co., Ltd.) and some of the airfields that they were fairly prominent. Started off by building some TOYADA truck models (which you will see in the slideshow referenced below) and also build quiet a lot of the various unique building …

I have scenery for Astana airport (UACC). The AFCAD needs some work and it needs a flatten (parts of the main apron has default textures bleeding through the scenery). I am working on the parking and adding the missing taxiways, but I do not know how to make a flatten file. Can someone explain to me how to make a flatten file using ADE? If anyone is interested the scenery can be found at avsim.su and the file name is 36884-UACC.zip. The description says the scenery is a alpha-beta version, but the scenery is decent.

I've been on the hunt for Reality XP replacement gauges. Reality XP stopped supporting their stuff for FS9 under Windows 7 and would like to find something comparable for the default aircraft (C172, C182, etc). Friendly Panels has some nice stuff but was wondering if there is anything else out there. So please advise if you know of some great looking steam gauges and thanks! Mark

It is such a shame this project ended - the panels are excellent. The forum there is still open, but dead from a posting point of view. Does anybody use the Jetstream J31 panel? Is it possible to make this work in (1) Premiere Aircraft Design J31 (2) a PAOB J41? Hi. Just wondered of anyone has any advice as to how to get ATC back working properly. I use Oncourse PFE, but this is probably not a PFE issue per se... things are no better if I don't connect PFE to my sim. Firstly (this is by the by), is there any setting I can change within FS9 to get AI a/c to 'see' and respond to my user a/c sooner? Planes taxiing towards me do often (though by no means always) stop if I clearly have right of way, but mostly too late and my wings nearly always slice through their fuselage. Secondly, this being my main question, why does ATC allow me to enter the runway when a/c are still occupying it? And why does it allow two a/c to land almost o…

I recently noted that when FS9 crashes, as it is wont to do from time to time, the 'FS9 has stopped working' window says FS9.0 , not FS9.1...' I know I installed the 9.1 update. If I try to reinstall it, the programme tells me it is already installed and then quits. (I know I need to move or rename the 'FS9/Backup' folder to get the update to run). The menu bar (help/about) in FS also shows me FS9.1 and the properties box of the fs9.exe file shows version 9.1.0.40901.. However, I have just opened the FS9.1 'unpatch.bat' file, in the FS9/Backup folder, in a text editor. I have just joined the forum after quite a few years away from flight sims. I was last active with FS2002 (when it was new). I did buy 2004 but reckon that the spec of my box was not sufficient to run it well. My interest took me learning to fly a microlight and a cessna 152. However, have a lot more time on my hands now and seriously considering getting my 2004 up and running. So, I am looking to get a dedicated pc for this. I have been browsing and looking at the matrox triplehead2go and then came across the Star Tech triple head at a fraction of the cost in uk. From what I can see the resolution on the matrox 3 screens is better, but has anybody used the star tech or can give me feedback on it. I would like to run 3 dell 19" screens with FS9. Rich

Is there anyone who might have an explanation for problems I have started getting in FS9? I have assumed it to be connected to the Drzewiecki Krakow scenery, EPKK, because that is where they started (and I had no issues like this before I installed the full scenery a couple of days ago), but I need to test at other airports too; that might be a coincidence... The problems begin with FS9 freezing up, just for a split second, then it's OK, then again a fraction of a second freezing and so on. Hello can you advise please, I'm using IFly B747-4 with FS2004 after complete unistall/reInstall (2nd time first exact same problem) when I select the IFLY aircraft and Create a Flight, on the FS2004 window the IFLY plane revolves showing a bent tail fin section, then after loading I pull down the Dropdown Menu then click on the IFLY tab but whenever I try to access anything all I get is a black screen. Dear flying colleagues, I would like to ask for your help with the following brain-teaser. After many years of flying with FS9 I was pretty convinced that my FS9 knowledge was pretty good. My fault... After repeating problems with OOM, I finally decided to make a complete and really clean re-installation of FS9 last week. So I did it as usual, correctly, step by step and I am sure I did not forget anything important (1. original FS9, 2. fs91upd, FS Global 2008, UT, F1 view, ASE engine, REX textures...). Hi, Since I am using Windows 10, my mouse scroll-wheel will not work inside all aeroplanes from FS9 ! When I scroll in MENU functions, e.g. help function, Go to airport etc., it will operate well. I configured the mouse well inside W10 with 1 line @ the time. Somebody help me ! Guus

I was over at Hovercontrol.com and saw that there is a EC-155 helicopter being developed for FS9. It looks like it is coming along very nicely. Hi guys, I freshly installed FS9. Today I installed WOAI 2.4 together with some airline packages. My problem: I can see the AI planes but no plane is moving. Any ideas? Cheers Frank

I don't fly heavy planes to often so tonight I thought I would try the Overland MD-11. I downloaded the free model and when I went to get a paint for the plane the readme file said it was for the GE engine version. Where do I get the GE engine model? The plane I downloaded only has the PW engines.

Is the ActiveSky service/servers still available. I've been re-installing FS9, and haven't got to ActiveSky yet. Please advise and thanks!

Hi Folks, Seems like the Digital Aviation site is completely gone... If I recall correctly there was an ini file setting to remove the nobs of the Trimble so you can swap out the unit with an RXP one... I've searched both the aircraft hierarchy and the web - can't find anything... Does anyone recall how to remove the Trimble nobs ? Regards, Scott

Not sure if this could be a sticky (if there are enough replies: hopefully there won''t be, for obvious reasons!), but do any FS9 or FSX users know of other Windows KB updates that cause problems? There should be a list somewhere here of updates to avoid.. M.
