Hello.Just wondering if anyone has the go flight MCP pro with 767 or 747 level D. I find that the MCP functions DO NOT duplicate that of the real aircraft on FS2004 aircraft, so I am looking at investing some coin on a level D simulation from Flight 1 software. Does anyone have this??? and if you do does it work sort-of like it should. ie: level change, vertical speed functions etc etc.

  2. Hello everyone,Its been a while since I flew on FS9, today I did a short flight over the pacific. Everything was well until 10 minutes into the flight, I loss the cloud texture, then the aircraft texture, and finally the rest of the world. The frame rate textbox wouldn't show up, all I see is just a blank world like this:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/169909.jpgWhat exactly is going on? Should I reinstall the cloud/sky textures? Thank you..:-hmmmDan

Guys, how to change Simulation Rate without FSUIPC and without using the Mouse/Menu in FS9. In the keyboard assignments there is Select Time Compression "R" by default. So how to do that in the game, using keypresses? Many thanks.

  4. My wife had to look up an address the other day and the website automatically took her to Microsoft Virtual Earth, which lets you see aerial views from anywhere on earth. I'm talking down to seeing shingles and siding on houses and making out names of businesses! It takes a while for some of the maps to load which is understandable, but it got my idea gears turnig as to what if this capability was somehow combined with FS in a future version! It would be just like flying over real photo scenery at very low level. I could even see my rhododendron bush and my neighbor's pool cover lying on his lawn! (Must have been spring a year or two ago that the pic was taken.) Any possi…

Hi,I am having a problem in loading FS9...i have a dell xps 400 basic machine. Software I have is World Airports 2, Ultimate Terrain USA, Active Sky 6, FS Flying School. What happens is that when it loads terrain it stops at 56% and screen goes blank. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times even antivirus scan. I am wondering now if it may be the settings need to be changed. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance. Sorry if I posted in wrong board.

  6. Just a quick question. I've got a second copy of FS9 on another computer and I hadn't run FS9 on it for about three months. All that this particular computer was used for was Windows Update and some Internet use, no other programs were installed or changed. When I fired up FS9 on it yesterday, the scenery setup ran at the beginning load screen, but then seemed fine on subsequent loadings and I had no problems. I've noticed that this invariably happens to FS9 following a long period of inactivity (I was using FS9 on another computer). Has anybody else noticed this behavior?Kim

I'm not going to try to keep the correct Local Time on FS 2004 because it just does not work. The program FS Time does not even help. The last flight using it going from Chicago to Pittsburg, when I crossed over from SDT to EDT, my local time advanced one hour like it should have, BUT my GMT also advanced one hour and this is INCORRECT; GMT should NOT have advanced. Started a flight this morning from New York (KLGA) 0700 local and GMT was 1200, a 5 hour differance. AS New York is using EDT, there should have only been a 4 hour differance and FS2004 was incorrect from the start. Like someone said the other day, forget Local time and only use GMT, OK but my GPS Garman 530 …

  8. Hi GuysMy normal departure airport is UK2000's Stansted Extreme which can get very busy at times, especially early in the morning, with a serious amount of Ryanair & easyjet traffic. Without a doubt, this does have an impact on frame rates, which usually sit around 18-20fps with all this traffic. Frame rate limit is set to 25.However, the other day, i decided to fly out extremely early. At the time, EGSS was absolutely full to brim with AI but, as it was so early, none of it was actually active. Frame rates then sat solidly at the 25fps limit. As no expert on this subject, i'm just wondering if this compounds the fact that FS9 is truly more CPU intensive than GPU ? Am …

Hi, I installed this and ran the .exe. It says it changed the timeout time for AI to disappear, but the file doesn't show to be modified since it's orig date of 12/2005. Did I forget something? Neither the AI_playr.dll in my module folder, nor the one in the output file are any different. I'm using FS9.1. Thanks

Has anyone run across a repaint for a B-747 of Air Force One (the President's aircraft)? I believe that is the current aircraft which is being used.I had an old one for FS2000 or FS2002 but a search for anything like that for FS2004 came up up empty. I am specifically seeking an AI version.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  15. I've recently done a complete uninstall / reinstall of FS9 and have found a frustrating problem with my scenery.cfg that I'm hoping someone knows how to fix. The problem is that after I've installed a scenery and its either been added to the list automatically or manually, it sometimes disappears when I start FS9. FS9 does go through the scenery update messages during the initial load, but when I get into the scenery list, the new additions are missing.Has anyone experienced this? and if so, how can I get around it without doing another install (reinstalling this game takes me about a week because of time constraints and I don't want to do it again unless I have to)?Thank…

Recently after years of flying the Beech 350, I decided to move up to a Corprate Jet. My selection was the Honda Jet from FSjets.com. As with any new Aircraft it takes time to get used to the feel and response of the controls. While not ready to give up and return to an Aircraft I was comfortable with and could fly with confidence, I have run into a roadblock. I'm damned if I can figure out how to change the frequencies in the radio stack. This should be elemental, a simple + or - on the keyboard. My first an only experience was in trying to set the ILS frequecy for Runway 14 at Nassau Intl.(MYNN). Being a Lazy Pilot, I usually fly the Beam to about 500 feet from the touc…

I come to the Well one more time for Answers. In trying to cover more ground in a shorter time span, I have decided to move up from my Beech 200 to the Model of the Honda Jet by FSjets.com. As with all new Models it takes some getting used too. Time will remedy this , I'm sure. But I do have a nagging question. I get an overspeed alarm at 325 Knots. Reading the Specs it says this Aircraft is capable of 428 Knots at 41,000 feet. I realise that Airspeed is different from Ground Speed at different Altitudes. But I get the Alarm at all levels, whether flying level, climbing or descending. Is this Normal? And what can I do to correct it. Is this alarm set in the Aircraft.cfg …

However, I can't find any flightplans to get them up into the FS9 sky :( If anyone knows where I can download some plans for these planes then I'd love to hear from them...* This is very new, I think it was only uploaded today so perhaps plans are coming soon...Cheers,Geoff

Has anyone looked at MS Virtual Earth lately? Wow, when can we expect 3D scenery like that for flight simulator. I realize the entire world can't be provided as it would be far too large for any DVD set, but how about some of the cities being offered as addon cities for FS2004 and FSX? I for one would be happy to pay for individual cities. Does anyone know if this is something MS might be thinking about?Bill

Ever flight I start in FS9 lately doesn't have an happy ending!I'm getting constant CTD's at different times into the flight.Using Windows XP "Event Viewer" I was able to detect what files are involved in the problem. So far I've had three CTD's caused by the panels.dll file, one by fe.dll, one by g2d.dll and the last one was caused by sim1.dll file. Can all these files be corrupt? Can they really be what causes the CTD?Any suggestions welcome. :-)Regards,

This is not an out of memory nor a frame rate issue. I've been creating photoscenery which, assumedly due to the more complex textures, was taking a long time to load in certain areas during flight. (Default C-182 at 10,000 feet) I could see there was a lot of disk accessing which led me to believe that perhaps insufficient RAM space might be the problem. I bought 1GB of additional RAM which brings my total to 2GB on an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ with NVidia GeForce GS7600. However, during runtime, Windows Task Manager only reports only about 1GB of RAM being used. This seems that the amount of available RAM is being either underutilized or unaddressable. I would think that the …

  24. Greetings all,I am seriously considering picking up the PMDG 747 this morning, but before I do, perhaps someone here can help me with three questions. After all, it is a lot of money, at least for me.1) How do the frame rates compare to the LDS 767? I know all systems and setups are different, but given the fact that I maintain an average of 23 FPS with my LDS (locked at 25), what can I expect from the PMDG?2) Is the learning curve at least as steep as it was for the LDS? I really enjoyed the process of having to learn proper procedures for the 767....will I get the same from the 747?3) Is the overall quality (modeling, textures, functionality, etc) equal to or greater th…

I know that AI's are programmed to disappear after sitting stationary for so long but is there any way to change or stop that or is it just encoded into their behavior? Sometimes at busy airports, traffic just takes a long time to move and it's not realistic for the plane in front of me to just disappear to speed up the process. I really don't mind waiting.
