I've spent a week looking mighty hard and wide for a fix for weird stuff that kept occurring in my PMDG 747-400 such as split screens, ghost panels, and such like. These occurred when flying in the VC and using 2-D pop-up panels such as the FMC and radio pedestal, etc.The effects started to spread into other aircraft when using FSNavigator more recently which was VERY weird and annoying.I don't know for sure what caused this to start happening after years of happy simming with FSAA and using the SAME nVidia drivers, 91.47 with my eVGA 7900 GTO card. Hello guysI noticed that nHancer causes my framerate to go down rapidly when there is a solid overcast or a bunch of clouds in my sim.I average about 8-10 frames when it comes to that :(Yesterday I turned off nHancer and guess what? Same conditions, but this time 50 frames! I'm using ActiveSky's textures.Needless to say, I want to maintain this framerate -if possible- with nHancer...Anyone got a work around on this?Regards,

I am (positively) surprised and amazed that after almost two(!) years, we still have a lot of NEW FS9 addons and continued support by add-on developers.I stand corrected when I posted in a few threads that FS9 developers would shift towards FSX and that FS9 would become legacy as soon as FSX shipped. In fact, I still prefer flying the heavies FS9 anytime over FSX, mainly because of frame rate issues, but also that my favorite add-on for FS9 have not been ported or re-developed for FSX (PMDG 737 for example).I cannot recall any legacy version of MSFS being supported longer and more passionately by the community and developers alike.Pat

Is this the best FS9 can do or is there something wrong with my setup? Am I missing some textures?? This is at FL330, about 45 miles north of EICK, Cork, Ireland. The only 'scenery' I have for Europe installed at this time is FSGenesis terrain mesh. Hello all. I am thinking about purchasing the PMDG 737-600. Was wondering if, (since it is download only), I would have any problems downloading it directly to a CD then copy to my computer...that way I have the information in the event something is lost. Also, does anyone have the Go-Flight MCP pro, and if you do does it work well with this software?...Thank you..

I have reinstalled FS9, including FSNavigator and use FSNAV to control most of my autopilot functions. Either it or all of my aircraft autopilots are completely failing at some point during the flight, causing me to lose all control of the aircraft. The airspeed indicator goes to zero, I go into a "Dive of Death" but the plane seems to recover somewhere around 6000 feet or so.Can anyone tell me if they've seen this behavior and how I can fix it? I seem to remember having this problem before but I can't remember how it was fixed. I also have FSPassengers installed but all failures are disabled at this time.

I am considering uninstalling FS2004 and doing a clean reinstall.I have heard there may some issues with trying reinstall the update to Ver. 9.1 if it was not uninstalled prior to uninstalling the base FS2004 stuff.Has anyone had experience with this and can offer some insight?I do not want to end up with not being able to install the update.Any thoughts on the subject will be appreciated.

I remember back in the day, I had Ultimate traffic installed and that was good enough. Then one day...I was annoyed by the colors of the US Air traffic. Then I was bothered by the Southwest Airlines only having the one color scheme. I noticed that there were lots of AI aircraft and packages available. About a year ago I started playing with updating the airports I fly to...to have better AIWell now I configure AI all the time...it is addictive to have the latest models...and paints...and schedules.I am amazed at all the hard work that goes into developing AI models/paints, and flight plans...all uploaded for free!! Hello all,I have enjoyed FS9 and all my add-ons for years. However I loaded up last night and found that my aircraft sounds could no longer be heard. Simulator menu click sounds and ATC all can be heard but no engines, flaps cockpit clicks, air noise etc can be heard. This applies to all aircraft - default and 3rd party. I have tried a few things such as copying the entire Cessna 182 folder from another computer to no effect. Does anybody know what could possibly be causing this or what file is affected?Please help me. Reloading everything I have collected over the years is a conservative 20 hours work!!!Stephen Shallcross.

My 737-900 is not showing up in the aircraft menu in FS9 anymore. I have not touched any files whatsoever. The -800 and winglet models are still working just fine, but the -900 is nowhere to be found. All files in the aircraft folder are still there. Any ideas? Thanks,-Jeremy

i all as you can see on the bottom of the screenshot i have some distorted graphics which looks like another overlay of some graphics,my system is on my signature and i upgraded my GPU drivers to the latest drivers on the nvidia website, i run fs2004 in windowed mode so can anyone tell me why i am getting this type of graphics down below there? thankshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189457.jpg

Anybody ever notice the giant chicken the shows up randomly in cities across the flight sim world? I know it's an autogen object but seems to move around a lot. One time it popped up in Juneau, Alaska, right next to the airport near what looked like a fast food building, but then it vanished and I haven't seen it since. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for another appearance somewhere.Kim

I recently started getting a start-up failure of the Ultimate Trafficprogram that has persisted, even after reloading the CD from scratch.FS9 continues to work perfectly with the existing Ultimate Traffic filesthat were installed prior to the failure. It happens depressingly often that ILS landings put me down some way off the centre of the runway, even off the runway altogether. The cockpit instruments close to touchdown show the centre of the localizer correct (although I can see I am on course to touch down in the rough) and when I move the a/c manually to be centre runway for touchdown, they then show me to be off-track.At first I thought this was due to the odd faulty AFCAD, and usually by dragging the Navaid away from where it has been placed (using AFCAD2) I can usually correct the problem. But this is happening so frequently (not always by any means though) that I can't believe so many AFCADs have been uploaded…

Sometimes when flying in FS2004 FS9l.1 a search box comes up behind the Simulator window. I don't see this until I close the Sim down and find sometimes several search boxes on the desktop.I have no idea what combination of keys brings these boxes up. I have tried CTRL+S as I use it quite a bit in the Sim, but this does not do anything when I try it on the normal desktop.I am using ASV6, GePro V2.0 and Activecam 2.1 along with fs9.1. I have a Core duo CPU E6750, An Asus P5B Motherboard and a Nvidea Geforce 7950GT GPU.Has anyone else seen this behaviour and if so how do you stop it?TIA

Hi,I have been trying to help a friend of mine sort out their assignments for their new Saitek Yoke (which comes with a 3 axis throttle)...The problem we are having is that no matter what I seem to do, I can't get FS9 to use the throttle axis.. My friend has FSUIPC installed and registered too.. I am wondering if it is a FSUIPC issue.. The following summarises what we've done and seen...1 - Removed all assignments of the controls for the yoke and rudder pedals.2 - Checked on the calibration screen, that the hardware is sending the correct signals to the computer.
