HELP!!!I am lucky enough (or un-lucky, depending on your point of view) to own two Windows Vista based computers. One is a Quad-Core based desktop and the other a Dual-Core laptop. I have found it impossible to use one of my favorite titles, Dreamfleets 727 (Flight 1 Boxed version) on either system. Instalation goes ok'ish, (I have to browse the CD manualy and double click the Install 727.exe icon,)I am able to select the aircraft form the aircraft menu, but when I klick on OK to start a flight FS9 Crashes to Desktop.There is nothing wrong with the software as it worked fine in my old XP based system.I am quite confident on how FS9 works and have had a bit of success on g…

I have a real good scenery for Sochi (URSS) found here http://virtualvss.com/index.php?option=com...ntpage&Itemid=1In the scenery folders there is a file named LD_5816.bgl. Does anyone know where this file goes? (I did a manual install of the scenery because the auto installer didn't work, and I don't like auto installers)

Is there any way to control which parking spots the USER aircraft is directed to? It seems, almost without fail, that no matter what airport I land at, ATC will direct me to a parking spot on the other side of the field, though there are spots available near to my landing spot. I know ATC directs you to the closer runway for takeoffs, but what about parking?Today, at KLAX, I was directed to the absolute farthest spot on the field from where I was. I landed on the south side, but was directed to spot A2 on the north side. 20 minutes taxi time!

I'm having a frustrating problem setting up traffic because some of my aircraft (default and add-ons alike) will fly normally as the prime aircraft, but refuse to show when I use them as AI traffic. I have more than adequate ramp parking slots available but they just don't show up on the ramp even when I set the flightplan hours to zero so they would be static. Not all, mind you, but quite a few do this, even one I have downloaded as specific AI files. Puzzeling! Is there a code missing somewhere or someting that tells an aircraft not to operate as AI, but to function normally otherwise? Any slider setting or something like that I can check? On approach to any given airport ATC only allows us to begin contact with the tower at around 30 NM out for a runway assignment. Is there a way to increase this distance to allow for a more realistic approach, or is this the way it really is in the real world?Just registered as a new user but have been reading the forums since FS98, and have enhanced my flight sim experience immensely with the help from all of you.Many thanks to all,Don Billings

I noted that MAIW placed file in library for military AI based at DM in Arizona. I was a little excited because I hoped it would also have some static aircraft. (it didnt.)Does anybody know of any scenery that depicts the boneyard? I've always considered that a fascinating place and would love it if there were some scenery of it. Hi everyoneJust bought the SR-22, as I already have the RXP GNS430 (not 430W) and the FLN gauges (with the STEC 55X autopilot and associated Garmin avionics) is there any point to refitting this plane with the RXP gauges? Is there any functional difference between the Eaglesoft and RXP GNS430? And last but not least, if I refit GPS1 as the RXP unit, does the GPS2 (Eaglesoft GNS430) still work as normal?Thanks in advance!

Hi there those who are experienced with FS9. I cannot set the Aircraft visual quality settings to Ultra High. Everytime I select Utra High, and clicked OK, when I come back to check the setting, It has always dropped to High. I even selected the antialiasing settings on FS9 and the graphics card. I can set the scenery quality to Ultra High, but not the aircraft. Is it possible to set the aircraft to Ultra High? I can do this in FSX with no problem. I have Nvidia GeForce FX8800GT Graphics Card and the resolution set at 1152x864x32 in both FS9 and the graphics card. The antialiasing works in default planes, but on 3rd party add-ons, only the outline of the planes are straig…

Hello,Haven't used FS for a while due to work but now I have a new system (listed in the signature) and I've decided to do some flying again. I thought I am now ready for FSX but apparently I can't get satisfactory results from it even with this computer and FSX is also not very popular with VATSIM yet so I have decided to stick to FS9 for some more time.Two problems have risen with FS9... I'm running Vista Home Premium 64-bit and firstly I wanted to run the sim in windowed mode. I just couldn't get the Anti Alias to appear. It works fine in full screen but goes off in windowed. Hi,In FS9.cfg there is a specific view setting available that prevents you from keeping to press a view key.Currently for a left side view (for example) I need the 'left side view' key pressed as long as I want to see the left view.However there's also a specific setting possible, that requires me only to press once and it keeps the selected view.VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT=33,41(One of the numbers has to be changed, if I recall correctly)Anyone?

Looking at the File Library hotfile lists, I see there are many users of the World of AI packages and associated Installer.What else is necessary to actually use these packages - or do you just load and go?Back in the bad old days of FS2002 I spent countless hours adding parking to airports, downloading AI aircraft, altering AI timetables etc etc - and then along came FS2004 and I was back to empty airports again (ok a few Landmark aircraft maybe!). A few years ago I had a list of what each contact point in the aircraft.cfg file stands for. I lost it and can't find it again. Does anybody have this list, or any guide as to which contact points to adjust for each peramiter? Thanks,-Jeremy

I have one set of a/c sounds which are WAY too loud - can't hear ATC. Is there any way of reducing the volume by changing/adding to the sound.cfg file, or is the only way to edit each .wav file?I don't want to change the global engine volume in FS, as most other a/c are fine.Thanks,Martin
