For the past 2 days I have been trying to log on to their new forum. I have re-registered, got a confirmation email-with an approval code, clicked on the link to confirm my email address, goes to the log on screen, put in my user name & password, and it still keeps showing me as guest. If I type the wrong password, it gives me an error saying wrong user name or password. So it is smart enough to know I enetered the wrong info. But when I enter the right info, I am still logged in as guest!!Anyone else having a problem?Rick

HiThis may or may not be related to my recent graphics card upgrade to an Nvidia (OEM) 8800GTX but i've recently started to notice a strange effect where i get intermittent cloud formations turning totally black at the same time as the ground textures turning black - see screen shot. The effect lasts about two seconds before returning to normal and seems to occurs every 10-15secs.Interestingly, the clouds don't turn black immediately, but rather the black builds up then fades back out to normal over the spell of the two seconds.I'm guessing here but it's almost as if there's some sort of indecision going on between the drawing of daytime and/or night time cloud and ground…

I've been thinking about buying the Flying the Boeing 700 Series Flight Simulators book by Capt. Mike Ray. I have the 737PIC and don't have a clue how to do much with it. The included manual (also by Mike Ray) is helpful to a point, but I need something that takes me from startup to shutdown and wondered if this book would do that for me.I'm completely clueless on airliner ops, especially the FMS. For those here who own the book, would it be the right thing for me? I'd like to learn more and then branch out into some of the aircraft offerings from PMDG. I just don't want to buy them and then not use them because I can't figure them out, much like my current situation…

Hello all,I have just come across a new issue with AES that I have not experienced before. When I try to start a flight at KORD(FSDreamteam), I now get a red window that says "Scenery Protection Active, AES Deactivated". I have flown out of this airport before with no issues. Does anyone know what has happened?Scott

Hello, Has anyone downloaded this file today from AVSim? I downloaded the file but I am unable to run the exe.file of the VGManager, Microsoft keeps throwing up an error report. I have tried to contact the makers with no response. Your comments would be most welcome.

Hi,I'm new here so forgive me if you've seen this one before.I'm having a problem with FS9 crashing (closing down) when I click the Help (learning center) or scroll bar in the kneeboard. I've reinstalled the program and did the 9.1 update. I'm using a Dell Dimension 2400, Win XP pro, 1 GB RAM, McAfee AV.I have ordered a GeForce 6200 video card and have a more recent Soundblaster card I'm going to install.I was wondering if anybody has any constructive ideas. I downloaded this scenery of GMML and it has files in it that go in the scenery/Afri/scenery folder of FS9. Does anyone know what these files would do? I don't really want to install the files then not really like the scenery. Would Ultimate Traffic solve this problem?Yesterday I landed for the first time at Blueprint Simulations KMEM 11:30AM local and, although there were planes occupying the airspace around the airport, there was a total of 2 a/c actually parked there -- FedEx or UPS, I believe, over at the cargo area only. But there was no other aircraft parked at any of the terminals -- absolutely none. After ending the flight and rebooting, I restarted at KMEM for the return to KMIA ABOUT 9:30am local and, lo and behold the airport was packed! Hello all,I'd like to add decent AI aircraft to my simming experience after a while with the FS9 default package so I'm looking for a freeware user friendly, FPS friendly and as you would all guess CTD-free AI software.I've done a search in the library but I don't know if it's better to go for individual aircraft or complete packages? I just checked out World-of-AI and it seems pretty good. I'm not new to FS9 but I'm new to the AI addon issue so your advice would be very much appreciatedThank you in advance.

Ok, alot of strange stuff has been happening since I installed activesky. FS9 is soo much more accurate in terms of weather and environment. BUT lol, as I got wiser on my last question about the wake turbulence there is another annoying feature that has appeared after the installment. Flying a preset heading in an flightplan of 315 for example.. then all of a sudden my heading snaps to 330 and the aircraft banks to realign even tho the heading on the flightplan is still the same... it stabilizes.. then snaps again to 340.Annoying. as the headings on the ILS's is still constant im told on final to turn to 2 when the heading of the ILS is 7 lol.Any ideas?Best regards. My fictitious airport, for FS2004,in Wisconsin, was made using 'Airport For Windows, using AFCAD2 to insert runway, communications, navaids, taxiways and parking for 4 aircraft. The airport is working in all details except I cannot get my manual flightplans to put aircraft on the parking provided. I can get AI aircraft, from my flightplans, to fly, land and park, but I can't get aircraft to appear/start here. Can anyone see what is wrong from my data? or what else I am doing wrong? This has probably been asked already but I couldn't find it in the search...I'm seeing lines coming off of some of the aircraft models in FS2004. Most notably with the default Cessna 172. The line comes out from the left elevator and goes for what looks like forever. If I zoom out, it goes away eventually. It also shows up on AI planes when I'm close enough to them. I've seen it on a few of the aftermarket planes as well.I'm assuming that it is a graphics card problem, so I've been toying with my settings but haven't found a fix yet. I'm updated with the FS2004 patches and drivers for the machine. I'm using an ATI Rage 7400.Any thoughts?

I use Flight sin fs9 is it worth getting UltimateDefrag 2008 or is there beter programs out there to speed up your computer

I just downloaded the Ultimate Defrag trial version but haven't installed it yet.I searched but couldn't find very much current information regarding the effectiveness of this de-fragmentation program.Does anyone have any experiences with it, positive or negative?I received an e-Mail from PC Aviator regarding a special sale they're running on it.I'm currently using Perfect Disk 2008. Would Ultimate Defrag be substantially better?Thanks.

Why after loading a FS2004 flight for instance, wmkk-lszh i can't find the same parameters: LNAV,VNAV, FMC etc.Thank a lots

Wasn't there a "tower" program for FS9 some while back that let you pre-program tower views for various airports? FS Navigator for FS2002 used to let you select the tower view for your arrival airport but haven't seen that on any of the other flight planners.Now, I have to go into FSX, get the coorindates and altitude for my destination airport, then manually input into into the FS9 'map' location. Isn't there an easier to watch myself at my arrival airport?

Since recently the textures in my FS9 takes a long time to load, for example with Amsterdam at least five minutes. Everything is grey. When I move to anyother airport I have to wait again before the textures appear.I have recently put the new versions of Ad-Ware & AVG 2008 on my computor.My FS9 is on a separate HD, I have just un-installed FSX (my computer was not powerful for that), which was on the same HD.I have defrag. this HD but it does not make a difference.Has anyone any suggestions?Christiaan

Well I just had one of the most satisfying flight I think I've ever had. It was a ahort hop of around 35 minutes in my aeroworx B200, so nothing too extravagant. But when reaching my dest, had 3/4 mile vis. ceiling at 400 feet, And nothing but an ndb approach available, oh ya the wind was howling at 10 gusting 20. Well I pulled off my first full procedure ndb app in about 4 years of simming, and i must say it was exhilirating.Now the purpose of my post is to let people who seem to be in a rut with their sim(no motivation to fly). Is there anyone out there who is prepared to swap just the Model and flight dynamics of a PSS B777-200LR for a model and FD of a B777-300ER ?I'm looking only for the 200LR - as PSS no longer exists, the only place to purchase the product is from "just flight" and they only sell the full package - whereas I was able to buy only the 300ER while PSS was still around.trevor
