Hi Guys,I'm Jamie and I'm fairly new this forum.I love FS2004 alot but when this problem keeps coming up, I get overly frustrated as there doesn't seem a way of solving it! Here it is:Blank screens are very frustrating, espically when your flying and you lose your progress!I've contacted Microsoft and Inno3D (My GFX Manufacturer) about this problem and they still don't know, I'm waiting on Microsoft getting back to me on this.Does anyone know how to fix this, I've done pretty much everything you can do eg: Adjusting settings, adjusting GFX settings, checking websites for advice.The problem occurs when I go into flight planner, multi-task while FS is on, changing weather a…

Does anyone know if the pattern altitude in the runway section of AFCAD is measured in AGL or MSL? I'm trying to redo KCHD, and it has the wrong altitude in the box (it has 1200. It should be 2200 MSL). Or doesn't it even matter?Thanks! - Paul

Hi Folks,I really need help with the following. The Airline Call Signs from my ATC Name box on the main menu are missing. They have disappeared. When I look at the default aircraft cfg files they are in place eg Landmark, etc and the same for my PMDG add-ons eg Air Canada, Oasis. So when ATC calls my flight they list the aircraft type and registration rather then the Airline Call Sign.Does anyone know how to fix this problem?? I would rather not have to re-load FS9 and all my add-ons again!Much appreciated!

I'm looking for a CSV file of the offsets used by FSUIPC to talk to MSFS. I'm basically looking for a CSV version of the FSUIPC.FSI database.Can someone point me to where I can find this? Thanks!g.

Hello all.I'm flying FS9 in the past few years but never encountered that strange FPS problem.I've installed FS9 on my laptop due the fact i'm traveling a lot lately.It's not that powerful, but it should run okay and indeed - I'm getting a steady 24-25 FPS (When limiting the FPS to 25)BUT - Every time i change it to 2d cockpit view, the fps falls to 10-15. Strange ?From years of experience with FS i got used to the fact that FPS usually falls in Virtual cockpit or spot plane view, and in 2d it should be fine and max. But thats the opposite !Any idea why this happen ?When i press Shift+1 in the 2D cockpit to remove the panel - everything is back to be ok, so i guess it's g…

i have been searching the net and found a website called simaviation which has liveries for all sorts of add-ons, one i found was for the PMDG 737NG, do anyone know if this will be ok to upload it? as i dont want to add anything to my PMDG files from other sources if it will create bugscheers

Please, apologize my poor English.I downloaded from avsim to my FS 2004 the DC9 by means of the file dc9-md87_sas.zip. I like it very much but I have some problems: when I open the aircraft, the HSI is in arc fom and I am not able to find the switch to get the rose form. The only way I have found is to pass to the flightdeck view but, when I come back to the main panel, the exterior view is totally black.Can someone give me some suggestion to overcome this? Hi all, I have a question about flying using an FMC (PMDG 737NG). I also use FSBuild2 to create the flight plan & FSNav v4 to monitor it enroute. When you're starting a flight, is it necessary to also load up a flight plan using the flight Planner in FS9?When I do, I have all the ATC prompts for an IFR flight. However, the flight plan in FSBuild & FSNav sometimes greatly differ from the flight plan that I load using FS9's planner. If I don't use the FS9 planner, I end up with the prompts for a VFR flight. Until I finally learned the basics of the PMDG FMC, I used FS9's planner exclusively...probably what a lot of newbies do.I've taken note of the flight plan names…

Since I have bought the FS9 its been running on my maching with lots of addons. Since I had to change my graphic card (Navidia GeForce 8600GT = the new graphic card) FS 9 is crashing and freezing my computer. I installed FS several times but could not solve the problem. Last weekend I have set up my computer complete new, hoping that this willsolve the problem. But no success FS still crashing and freezing my computer. I assume the problem is the new Navidia GeForce 8600GT - It run for years what could be the problem - the grapic card? Hello fellow simmers,I have had FS9 since 3 years now and I absolutely love it. I find the weather engine to be reasonably well, it simulates turbulence, winds, gusts, storms, etc... pretty good, not perfect but good. Much better than the ATC. Anyway, like many of us I use online weather which is accurate in terms of winds, visibility, pressure and the rest, no problem with that. However, in some parts of the world which I will specify later, as I start my flight, 9 times out of 10 I initially get the 2992inHg, calm wind, 15C weather. I do my preflight and in 15 minutes (since the download is done in 15 minute intervals) I get the correct weather.This also happens during …

I have the FS since 2years, but I never experienced such a problem with it. In fact when I am flying o Heathrow or Gatwick, or anyone of the London airports, about 50-70miles from Heathrow the FS is frozen down.:-( The most strangest of it, that I can't experience that anywhere just at the London airports.What do you think what causes this problem, is the only way to fix it is the reinstallation of the FS?Thanx for the help: GajkaAdd-ons installed:Heathrow 2008Gatwick 2000 Xtreme

I got no answers from their forum so I'll try here.I would like to know if they have a widescreen 2D panel, from the screenshots at Wilco it looks like it.I would also like to know if a flight can be saved during a flight, saving the panel state to complete the flight later.Are the exterior lights well simulated, with seperate logo light?Finally i would like to know it the displays can be dimmed like their PIC737 or if they dropped that function like in the Legacy.So you know, I might be picky because I mainly use LDS767 and PMDG744. I didn't really like the PIC737 (AP problems, sounds too loud) but liked the Legacy except for a few obvious but easy to fix neglected error…

I recently downloaded an old New York Airways project. For those who might not be old enough to remember, New York Airways used to run flights between JFK, Newark and downtown Manhattan using the helipad on the Pan Am building (on a sidebar, I'd love to see someone do a New York Airways Boeing VTOL one of these days).I downloaded a Sikorsky S-61L, the last copter New York Airways used before shutting down ops. But I can't remember if FS2004 has any of the helipads for Manhattan. It would be great to do runs between Manhattan and JFK, or Newark, using the Sikorsky.Regards.John

Hello everyone,I usually dont post too much at Avsim but I thought the recent Wilco release warranted a response. I purchased the EJets this afternoon and although I feel it has the potential to be a great addon, but there are some major flaws that I just dont see how got through beta testing. A $50 addon just shouldnt have an autopilot that commands 45 degree bank turns at cruise altitude, let alone ever! I have looked through the Feelthere and Avsim posts on the EJet and nobody has said anything about the release of a service pack. Does anyone know if and when one will be released? I thought I would also take some time to highlight what I feel is wrong with the product…

Even though Aloha has suspended passenger flights they still operate a handful of 737-200s around Hawaii for cargo operations. I remember seeing a few of the cargo 737-200's when in Honolulu last summer. Does anyone know where I can find a repaint of an Aloha 737-200 in Cargo livery?http://www.airliners.net/photo/Aloha-Airli...-Adv/1338356/L/It also seems as if there aren't any AI schedules out there with the cargo operations.
