I just moved my FS installations to a new computer. I say "moved" rather than "reinstalled" since I reinstalled basic versions of FS9 and FSGW3 to get the registry part right and copied over my old installations. This works fine in most respects. Some payware addons will need to be reinstalled (or deleted) but 99% of everything is fine since the paths within the root folder are intact. My FS9 with all the tweaks and addons weighs in at around 70 GB. If anyone wonders why I don't just reinstall and do it all over you now know why. There's one problem though -- my previous flight or any other saved flight defaults to a Cessna at SeaTac. The reason is that the path to flight…

Hi all, Does anyone know if there is something in the sound.cfg that I can edit to change the length of time an aircraft's APU sound can be heard for? At the moment for a 340-300 sound set I have, I start and can hear the APU but then within 10 minutes it goes off. Is there an editable value or something that I can change to have this on continuously?Most of the other aircraft I have keep the APU on by default. Any help appreciated as not to familiar in this area.Thanks

Is anyone able to contact 3D Softworks about the time zone issue in FS RT? Looks like you can't send anything to them, yet they have this whole paragraph on their site about contact issues.The time zone thing is making me crazy. All of Europe is off by one hour. U.S. west coast loads with correct time, but the east coast only jumps ahead 2 hrs when it should be 3. Guess I should have left well enough alone. I'm not even sure what the settings should be any more.

I'm not sure if I should be using Flight time or System time in FS9. I'm having trouble getting the time zones correct since I installed the new FS Real Time. (it always seems to be an hour off in some places but not all places). What's the best setting to use so I have a base to start with to try to get the zones correct?Thanks

The anti aliasing and AF fixes for nHancer and the latest nVidia drivers work great on my main monitor, but image quality on my other two screens seem to be lacking with distant runway lines, fences, etc. "breaking up". This doesn't seem to happen with my forward looking, main monitor -- I've been told by the author of nHancer that there currently is no support for multi screen. Is anyone else seeing this and if so how are you dealing with it?If I try to to go past 4xQ on the AA, I get massive break-up of the aicraft preview screen with a CTD after 1 or 2 minutes.As always, thanks in advance to the group. ...does anybody use this program? If so, does it work as advertised?Does it get along and play well with other programs like Active Sky v6, Radar Contact, PMDG 747-400? While i am not a newbie to flight sim flying i am a newbie to scenery. Can someone shed some light as to how you get gates and vehichles to show up? I fly from KTPA all the time and all i have id just buildings.. no gates or jetways much less vehichles. Thank you in advance for your help.Mike

Also, most people say that the aircraft is great, but the documentation is lacking, so it's hard to fly it. I was wondering if someone can tell me what they think of it please? I'm mainly interested in the 2D panel and the systems simulated. The external model and VC aren't that important to me (I'd probably merge it). Hi guys!I'm trying to work out whats going on with my FS9. I'm running Vista 32 Bit, FSX and FS9. But following problem happens: When I start a flight in FS9, the simulator itselves works, but the display of the simulation is kind of frozen. I can hear the engine sound changing when I accelerate or change view, but the display just stays at the very first picture. cockpit view, runway in front of me. If I change the view to tower view, the "cockpit" changes a tiny bit but it's still there and the view "runway in front of me" is still there, too. Is there a way to adjust the range at which you can pick up ATIS? Some airports you can pick up ATIS over 70 miles out, but others are only 25 miles out which makes for difficult approaches to the right runway. Is there anyway to adjust the range at some airports, like ESSA and BIKF? Thanks

Re Nhancer. Nick I picked this remark up from a forum that I think you might hv bn involved in. What section of the fs9.cfg file do I need to alter to extend the radius that the terrain is drawn? I have the extended terrain textures box check in the settings menu, but that isn't enough for me with GE Pro installed.-Jeremy

From the startup menu: Whenever I try to set a flightplan from KJAX, I get a CTD. This also happens if I try to set a flightplan just before taxi, and in the air, after takeoff. This is a solid problem,(fails everytime). Why this area? I'm going to try several other local airports to see if it happens there also. Hi Folks:I was wondering if anyone ever solved the blurries issue with this aircraft. As some of you may know some people, including me, have found that this aircraft appears to cause some degradation of FS9 scenery. I found that the blurries problem goes away for a brief period when I refresh the scenery, but then the blurries soon "pop" back in. I have searched here and the AFG forums for a resolution, but it did not appear to me that there was a permanent fix.This is a really nice freeware aircraft with a very good virtual cockpit.Any help or suggestions welcome!Airbus

Hello all,I have installed fs9 on my old computer, but I have strange problem with he fonts on the ATC window. I can see only symbols and no real letters. I thing that the problem is in cyrilisation. So my question is how I can change default fonts in FS? On my other computer everything is OK, so I copy the fonts from one computer to another, but the problem is still there.10x

Trying to get a ruff idea if I should re-install Flight Simulator or not. What kinda Virtual Memory Usage are you guys seeing with your Flight Simulator 2004?with most of my setting maxed in the game I am getting around 800mb to 1.3GB of PF usage when flying (never get OOM error) I fly with most of the setting on Ultra with a lot of custom traffic. I also use Radar Contact, Active sky 6.5, along with AI smooth. Here is my situation;I wish to take of from Louisville (KSDF)in a 737-900 fully loaded at 155K lbs. AS6 shows no or little wind. Ground control assigns me to RWY 11 for departure. Now RWY 11 is only 7,250' long which is not enough for a takeoff or at least a safe one if an RTO is required. RWY 17R/35L is 11,890' long, more than enough for a safe takeoff. Since this is an IFR flight, is there a way to request a different runway without reverting to the VFR mode which is illegal for commercial flights? For 3 or 4 weeks I've been flying in out of Heathrow. Today I flew into Heathrow, but the Localiser nor the Glide slope worked. I tried all 4 runways same deal. I am using Aerosoft Mega Heathrow 2008 scenery. I had to reinstall it 4 days ago.Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?....and fixed it :)I'm not sure where to start looking to solve this problem.I have not yet checked out other UK airports, will try that tomorrow.Ken
