I have suddenly got interested in this plane for FS9. I already have LD 767-300, MADDOG 2006, ATR 72-500 and PMDG 737NG-800/900 and DF 727. Still after reading some reviews my impression is that the queen has more to offer that I don't already have. I do have a couple of question before I buy.I have the base boxed 747-400 in mind. I see on the PMDG site that there is a 1.2 update for download. Also there is a separate cargo version sold that is said to update the base QOA. My question if I only have the base 747 will I not be able to apply all updates? If so what will I miss?My other big concern is performence. I run all sliders maxed with Ultimate Terrain and Radar Conta…

I have just purchased the AFS Airbus 350 for FS2004.The engines are very nearly touching the ground. I have changed the static height in the aircraft file but it still remains the same.Maybe it has something to do with the "contact" points.I have sent an e- mail to AFS in Germany but up to now no reply.Can anyone help?

Hi everyone.I am having a problem with the above mentioned add-on. When I apply the UT changes (I have v1.30) my coast lines landclass goes missing. I revert to stock FS9 and they are back. I am scratching my head on this, as I haven't found anyone else that has run into this. (Yet!)BTW this affect the entire world, not just the USA.

Morning guys,When I was looking at their website, I had the idea that their MD80 was available on cd/dvd.However, when going to the webshop, I can't seem to find the cd/dvd version. Hey!Since over 4 years I use Win XP Pro for my FS2004, which I try to keep clean with all means, and I never had the problem that I have now since a couple of months.When I am flying, sometimes the FS crashes and always there is the same message, that something is wrong with the ntdll.dll, and I have to restart. However, sometimes I even cannot restart anymore. Tired and unhappy, I suit then..When I start my PC the next day, it sometimes works for half a day with no problem, and then suddenly there is the same error again....I am suspecting the temperature of my system ( processor or so... ) but, when I read on the internet fora, both flightsims and non flilghtsims, I see…

Hello,when installing an airline PAI package with the installer I get an Error Message called Error120 "TTols is unable to identify your FS Version"Some weeks ago everything worked fine with the installation of AI packages but now i get this message.Any ideas what to do? Hello,how can I delete the ILS and Markers of an airport? I corrected the heading of a runway and wanted to delete the old ILS navaids and the markers but it does not work. AFCAD and AFX says it is not possible but it must exist a way to do it.Any ideas how to delete the ils navaids and OM, IM as well as MM?many thanks for an answere

Hi folks, I have just got my old PSS A340/A330 out and dusted it off and want to try and use it. Having familiartised myself with the PSS A320 series cockpit things are pretty similar so seem to be doing OK. I would like however to be able to use a POSKY model with the PSS A340 panel. I have done this fine with PSS/IFDG for the 320 family and have read through many posts on this very subject across the net including this site, however I cannot find one post that gives me a good clear idea of what I need to do to merge the PSS 340 with the POSKY model? HelloI use this very useful utility to convert aircraft textures from 32bit to DXT3.I usually drag each texture file one at a time and convert it.I was wondering if there is a way of converting the whole folder in one go?I have tried fiddling,copying pasteing etc but i can still only convert each file one at a time.cheers Andy

Thank you Oliver Strauss for a fine contribution.Months (make that years) ago, I could not get FDC to work any more on my system. It was an updated old version, but I was afraid that it was my system at fault, NOT FDC. Inquiries to FDC did not help and I was afraid that their newest version might not work for me either (Possibly with no fault by FDC at all but due to some error on my end). Hello!One of the best freeware airports in my opinion is ISD Rome Fuimicino (LIRF) 2005 Scenery. It contains among other stuff moving (active) jetways. And it's free! So I was wondering if there are any other free airports out there with this cool function?

Since I need to re-install my old PC, I like to get everything for FS9 as properly done as possible this time.A question that I still cannot answer correctly enough is how the different scenery parts should be ordered priority-wise in scenery.cfg.I once read the level# defines the priority and not the area.xx number, and that landclass should have higher priority etc., but I'm quite unsure that my knowledge is right.So, what sort order is recommended for scenery.cfg (for instance "mesh first, then landclass, then all other scenery" or so) and what influence has the "priority" in the cfg file and what defines this priority (and, is level 1 more important than 12)?Andreas

Hi there,Recently while flying from VHHH to LFPG, using PMDG's 747-400, Radar Contact 4.3, NDAC3 and Airliner Pilot, I had a CTD with an error message saying that "Your computer has run out of memory, try freeing up some Hard Disk space".My question is this.I currently use a 100GB SATA HD partitioned into 2 x 50 GB Partitions C: & D:.C: is used for windows and applications and has about 3GB free, while D: is used for exclusively FS9 and add-ons and has about 3GB free. Does Windows XP use the C or D partitions for the swap file? as i guess this was the error that popped up.I currently have 2Gb RAM and FreeRamXP Pro tells me that I have approx 6-700MB resources free whi…

I have noted a few times that ATC will direct me on an approach that will leave me outside the range of the ILS signal. Happened at both KORD and KBOS. Very frustrating after a long flight. What are the variables to correct in any? Aircraft an issue? Both times with CLS DC10-10. Any guidance appreciated. Thanks in advance...Dave

Hello Fellow Simmers, Hope someone can help me please, as the title suggests I can't see strobe light effects anymore. I have tried all the default aircraft and my addon iFDG A319 etc.. funnily enough I can see them in spot view from a distance but not close up or when in cockpit view and cycle views to exterior using the 'S' key stroke. I recently deleted FSx Demo, but backed up my .cfg. It was working fine until recently...bummer!!Any help will be most gratefully received.Regards, Stan Harvey EGPE.
