In the last few months I have found myself having to constantly refresh my scenery in the course of a flight. I would leave an aiport with the scenery looking as it should an within a couple of minutes, it would look blurry. If I was at an airport, the airplanes would have no textures. I would manually refresh and everything would be look ok for a couple of minutes than I would have to refresh again.I tried a different video card but had the same results.What fixed it was uninstalling Ground Environment Pro. Good Day,Trying to find a copy of the boxed CD version of Ultimate Terrain USA for FS 2004.... According to Flight1 it has not been available for some time..... Have ordered the CD/DVD versions for Alaska/Canada and Europe and would like to find a copy of the boxed USA version.... I have never purchased a "Download" version of a program, but this may be my only option.... Has anyone had any problems with Ultimate Terrain USA 2004 Download version from Flight1...... Hey guys,I've merged the 50N model with the FeelThere panel using the merge here in the Avsim library.However I find the aircraft is pretty hard to control on the ground as it seemingly reacts slowly and kind of lazy...Anyone with the same issue?Regards,

I booted up my copy of FS9 today only to find that there were absolutely no AI planes at any of my airports. What happened? At all the airports, the gates are bare and obsolete. Not only are my ProjectAI planes gone, so are the ones that come pre-installed with the game. What happened here? I made no changes at all. Yesterday, everything was working fine!

hi,I think it is a pity that most aircraft don't simulate pilot induced damage. I only know of two models with which you have to fly by the book or you face the consequences.The digital aviation DO27 and Charles Owen's DC3C which is even better as far as damage simulation is concerned.Once you have flown an aircraft for which you have to take care of all the systems, any other aircraft is somewhat dull and unrealistic. After all, isn'it like that that aircraft have to be taken care of? Does anyone know of other aircraft with realistic damage simulation?cheers

Hey all,I think a developer should seriously think about doing the model and cockpit for the Dornier 228. It is such an interesting airplane and OSS - Online Simulation Solutions was doing a beautiful one, but they shut down without an explanation. I think it would be a promising aircraft if someone could do it to the standards OSS was creating it with. Maybe someone can even ask to pick up where they left off. Just a thought..-Scott

I read the "Tips & Tricks" document which shows how to set up VIP parking so that ATC will properly direct you to your own parking spot. I'm not sure the directions are correct. It says to set up the "atc_parking_types" to XXX or your own personal code and to move your parking spot to the TOP of the parking list. It indicates that ATC assigns parking from the bottom of the list and moves upwards. First, I would think that your 'xxx' code will go into the 'atc_parking_codes" line rather than "types". Next, I notice that ATC assigns parking from the top of the list (ie A1, A2, it assigns gate "alpha 1", etc.). Has anyone put this to use and do you think it's …

I installed the free Glacier Bay scenery here at Avsim by Holger Sandmann,as well as Victoria Plus. There was some AI that I also installed that came with the scenery, as well as some airports. In the document Holger said these should all work fine with his scenery. Now I keep getting these lines around the shoreline. There are waves beating against the shoreline as well as against the lines. It seems something isn't quite coming through. I went into the scenery library and changed the priority of some of the files. Should landclass be at the top, mesh below that, and then scenery highest priority...or what? Or is it something else?

Hi there ChapsI am running FS9 on a laptop with an external monitor. I have the main window on the external monitor and drag some my FMC/other bits of panel to the laptop screen. I use full-screen mode. Does anyone know how I go about choosing which screen is picked when I wish to take a screenshot? At the moment I seem to get both windows joined together side by side when I paste the screenshot in.Any help would be appreciated!RegardsRudy

Hello All, I recently tested my Celiosim "Instant Enhanser" and selected all of the options. I decided that I didn't care for their reflective textures. I must have somehow overwrote my back-up textures so when I hit "restore" they where still the Celiosim ones. I also rebooted my computer and it was the same. Does anyone know how to get my default reflective texture files back with out reinstalling FS (or is this possible)? Thanks,Dylan

I have just purchased a new machine and loaded FS2004 and PDMG 747, all is beautiful until I try and use the PMDG tool to adjust fuel loads.Screen goes blank when I select pmdg>general>options.I have to ctrl>alt>delet and end task on FS2004.Any Ideas.Intel Quad 4 gig ramVista 32bitGeforce 8800GTAny help would be appreciated.

Hello guysI have recently installed the great CYYZ2007 by Dennis Di Franco in FS9. I currently also have AES selected for it as well.It has been working ok until today. When I load the scenery, it is ok, but when I change the time, FS9 crashes to desktop without an error message?I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting the FS9 cfg file and restarting, starting in default flight, starting in another saved flight, disabling AES but it just does'nt make any difference.Can anyone help me or make any suggestions?I look forward to any replies.Kind RegardsGavin Moss

Hi Fellow simmers....I dont very often fly in the US,but thought yea for a change I'll give it a go so I bought a couple of US scenerys one being Memphis by BluePrint Simulations..Installed as instructed,I downloaded the Fedex pack from World of AI to complement the scenery as I understand its one of there main hubs??Fired up FS9 to find only three aircraft at the entire airport.....Two Fedex and one Continental 737...I have AI traffic turned up to 100% but still only three aircraft whatever time of day...Is this normal for Memphis or am I missing something here? I expected the Fedex cargo area to be brimming with aircraft.Regards,Martin.

Hello, Could anyone suggest why FS2004 disappears from my Add/Remove programs? On three occasions when I have installed FS2004 onto my pc, it initially appears in the add/remove programs but after about one or two months it disappears. Everything remains in the programs and I am able to use FS2004, but for some unknown reason it just simply disappears from the add/remove progams.ThanksMondeoman

Hi!I recently installed FS9 on my new laptop, and with both add-ons installed and all settings set to the highest, I get 25 FPS locked at 25. But when I choose a bad weather with rain and overcast or fly fast near the ground, stutters appear. Sometimes the FPS goes down a bit, sometimes I experience stuttering with no change in the FPS. I was thinking about changing the values of TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT and TextureMaxLoad in FS9.cfg, but I'm not sure how to use these settings. Do anyone here know what might be good for my computer? Also, I was wondering if there are any other tweaks that might reduce the stuttering? In the weather tab, I have the 3D clouds set to 100% and …

Another FSHotSFX question... in two parts...i) Is it possible to disable the tower view changing behaviour of FSHotSFX. I've had a look both here and on their support forums but I can't find any reference to this. From the help file is would seem that setting the flyby to 0 should do it but that's not the whole story. Also, I can find all the other settings of FSHotSFX in one or other of the .ini files but I cannot find the view parameters... anyone found these?ii) If it's not possible, then we move to the settings of Auto Tower... While in flight (and with FSHotSFX running), Autower.exe does it's job marvelously and I have set it up to check/change the view every 5 secon…

Hi AllAll of a sudden I can't set my parking brake anymore. I haven't added anything new. When I use the keypress Ctrl + period, there is no indication of anything happening. I tried assigning the parking brake to a joystick button and funny thing is when I press the joystick button the parking brake message come on and then off again.... but it doesn't do that with the keypress. Also, if I have plane that has the parking brake on a panel, the mouse button doesn't do anything either..... but pressing the joystick button will cause the parking brake lever to move (and then it releases immediately - in sync with the parking brake message). Anyone know what could be causing …

Hi all,I have d/l'd the FF Bahamas and Florida and have had no luck getting them to work properly. Land that should be dry is covered with water and vice versa in other places. Some airport runways have trees on them. I have the full FS Genesis package installed and the world looks great before FF was installed although many airports seem to be located on plateaus. The plateau issue is another problem I have been trying to figure out...This whole thing is no doubt my doing, but I don't know how to fix it. I have uninstalled FF for now until I figure it out. Hi guys, i hope you can help me out here. I have the sga md80 and it will bounce on touch down. No matter how smooth the touch down, the plane will bounce after touching. If i arm the spoilers, the plane will do a quick hop. I think there is something going on with the main gear compression.
