Our new member jchalmers (probably former S.G. Kofi Annan) have posted a provocative post here in the FS2004 forum and in the FSX forum.I believe it was a mistake when I and other community members responded to his/her posts. It's natural to do this. Let us try not to respond. It might be that our replies motivate him to go on. Hey guys,For some reason just around EGLL when I go to map or to customize weather settings, FS just CTDs. Has anyone had this problem before and a way to fix it?

I found these two Russian sceneries (UHPP and UHSS) and need advice on installing them.Both sceneries come with ground textures that go in the scenery/world/texture folder. One has 175 files and the other has 183 files. These seneries will not work without those files in the proper place (I tired). I would like to know how can I install these texture so I can try out this scenery and un install the textures if I don't like the scenery.Should I just copy the whole /scnery/world/texture folder to another place? Or is there another was to do this?

I must be doing something wrong, because this usually gets good reviews, but when in the VC - when I click on certain switches, it sits there and flickers back and forth real fast - things like lights, autopilot on/off, just completely unflyable!any ideas?thanksbsciao!Brian S

When in FS2004 my Rudder wants to stay to the right for some reason and even when I hit the Keypad number 5 to strighten the rudder out it will go back to the right after a little while ?I have adjusted my joystick but it still does it.Any ideas on how to reset the rudder so it wil stay stright by default ?Thanks for any help you can give me.Scott

Is it possible to arrange my aircraft folder into sub - folders, and they will still work for AI aircraft. I don't mind about regular flyable planes, but I am starting to install a lot of AI, and it would help not to have to search through the aircraft folder every time I want to change or add something.For example, could I make a folder called, say, "AI Tupolevs" and put all of the Tupolev aircraft folders in there? Would it still work as AI?Thanks.

What are peoples thoughts on this add-on. I have all of Imaginesims products so far but I havent seen much from screenshots that have made me want to purchase it. Really looks like the Sim Flyers version which I believe it is still the same developer. I am not worried about performance I have a pretty strong computer. I guess I am looking for opinions on how the airport looks in game and not just screenshots? The sceneries that have come out lately seem on a different level and I dont know if KATL is worth a purchase.Thanks

Like other people I am having a problem since removing FSX. The airports list in Afcad,is blank,( reason FS path not found)I get a message that I can browse to find the path & make a pointer. I looked up FS9.EXE via the search program, found a lot of temp. files & one fs9 file with an aircraft icon, which is in the Flight.Sim 9 map along with all the other files such as Scenery, aircrafts etc.This file is a "toepassing" file as I am in Holland, which roughly transalated means application. There is no .EXE. as for as I can see.Is this the right file to click when I brouwse the repair tool as I do not want to mess up the FS2004.I have downloaded the Flight1 repair t…

Hey guys......Is there a way to increase the use of particular AI Default aircraft? For example, can I get some Emerald Harbor Air Caravans to show as AI in addition to the other Caravans that already show? I'm using Ultimate Traffic, but I only see where I can check on/off for Caravans......not a specific model or airline.My idea is to add a few EHA Caravans and give them some flight plans, if possible.Thanks in advance for any replies.......John

I have the FSD Panther plane and manual gives recommended MAP and RPM settings for cruise. Well I did a flight and completely ignored that and put both throttle and prop lever to max all the time (about 45 min). What would happen if I did that in real Panther? In FS9 no problems whatsoever. And I have similary experience with other planes.

I have recently downloaded and installed project fokker but everytime I load up the aircraft I am unable to access any of the switches, when I place my curser over the relevent buttons, pnl, avn, etc nothing. I have found that if I drag down the panel it reveals an identical panel which I am then able to switch on the various buttons. This also happens on the sample flight supplied. I have contacted Project Fokker Jetline but their only suggestion sofar is to re-install. This I have done and also re-downloaded and re-installed but the problem still remains. Has anyone had the same problem or is there a solution?Many thanks

Hi allI remember once having a fairly simple tool, where you could chose your departure airport, your aircraft and (i think) the maximum distance, and you would get something like "fly 1 photographer from... to ...".Does anyone know this? Has anybody attempted a merge of the posky models 747-1/2/300's with the CLS 2D panel? I realize the CLS bird has a fabulous VC etc., but there are a million liveries for the posky airplanes.Eric

I appreciate this question is a long shot but here goes.I have a fairly high end computer Intel Extreme X9650 with 2 Geforce 8800 GTX graphics cards in SLI mode, Vista 64 with 4 gigs of Ram. I was getting between 50 - 70 FPS constantly with photorealistic scenery and various payware aircraft. I haven't made any major changes to my computer, but I am now only getting about 17 FPS for no apparent reason. I have checked the display settings and have even lowered some of them but the current FPS does not improve.Can anyone give me an idea what to check that might have caused such a dramatic drop in FPS. I want to convert all my WOAI paints and other AI, and probably some of my custom downloaded paints, and I was wondering if there is an easy way to tell the difference between a regular 16 or 32 bit .bmp and .dxt. There's no indication in the Properties section when I right click on the file. I already have a batch file for texture conversion, but I was thinking there's no need converting if they've already been done -- and with my luck I'd probably do more harm than good. :-). I've done a search here and on Google and found several posts about how to convert files, but I can't find an actual answer on how to tell if a file is already a dxt.Thank you!

Hi,I seem to have lost my aircraft call signs, when selecting an aircraft no call signs appear at all, I have used editvoicepack to restore voicepack but it still doesnt appear, all my AI aircraft work fine with their call signs, can any one help please?Thanks in advance

What is the most reliable source of navaid information that I can use when I am approaching an airport for an ILS landing? I used to rely on FS Navigator, which I always have visible on a second panel, but there are so many AFCADs now that seem not to install the correct information to FS Nav when I run the FSNav database creator so that using frequency information from FSNav is very unreliable.Are the frequencies shown in the Garmin GPS always correct? I assume they read them from the AFCAD. But, a big flaw with the Garmin is that it's not possible with the GPS to see there if there is a glidescope on a particular runway (is it?) - only the localizer frequencies are show…

Hello all, I have merged Overland 77l with PSS 77l to use the PSS panel with the superior Overland 777 model. I used the conatact points found on avsim. The problem I am having is that the nose gear barely contacts the ground and the nose gear is visibly not compressed. Hey fellow simmers.Ive been flying FS9 since it came out. I concider myself a good pilot in the game. One thing that just recently started to happen annoys me tho.When flying finals, IFR and VFR my plane suddenly disregard my inputs and starts to fly allover the sky, up down sidways, like its taking evasive manovuers on its own, avoiding the ground lol.This has NEVER been an issue before, and all my vSpeeds is perfectly safe and in order.
