This may have been asked before, but can fs2004 use FSX default scenery?Bill

Hello everybody I just installed fs9 onto my vista system. I installed fs9.1 and everything else all updates so on and so forth. Well when I load a plane I get a ctd error with the details saying App Crash. So then I searched the forums and a little tip was to make it run under xp compatability mode. Well this made it worse. The sim did not even make it to the actual flying part and crashed in the loading part. Any help?

A couple times the tower gave me "circle to land" commands when I was approaching the field. I wasn't sure how to respond. They also followed that with "turn right base". I ignored the turn right base command because I wasn't sure what to do and flew straight in. They OK's me to land when I was lined up with the runway.

Hi!I don't know that would this post fit better to PMDG-forum, but here we go...I think this question has been asked for millions of times, but why doesn't this merge work in my FS? What is it called? I know there's a bunch out there. No clue which is the best. I'm looking for an accurate simulation of the systems. For instance, I've never had a chance to play with a simulated INS, ever.

Does anyone know how to get updated AIRAC data for the CS757 FMC. They don't have it on Navigraph yet, but do they use the same database format as any of the other manufacturers?Apparently Captainsim has now completely dismantled their website, and doesn't appear to have any intent of bringing it back online anytime soon, so I'm also at a loss for where to find the full set of manuals for the 757 Block F...any ideas?Thanks,Marc

Has anyone auditioned the Boeing 737-7H4 Southwest Airlines Tributes package?http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...=root&Go=SearchI cannot get the nose gear to retract after takeoff (the main gear does).I aliased the panel to the default B737-400 panel as they did not include a panel - just said a panel must be downloaded separately (no recommendation).The website makes no mention that I could see of a "fix".Has anyone else experience this same issue?

Hello,when having a lot of traffic and a queue is at the holdingpoint at the runway planes already disappear after 3 minutes of waiting. IMO they normally should disappear after 5 minutes of waiting at one point.How can I solve the problem?Instead of AI Smooth I am using AI Separation. Could this be the problem?Many thanks for help

On both FS9.1 and Win XP Sp2?I have changed my boot.ini to: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /3GB /userva=2560and patched the fs9.exe no cd with the proper tool.How to make sure this is taken into account my the system?The pb that I have is that I use Comodo Firewall and I have no boot.ini in my c: Instead I have a file called boot.ini.comodofirewall, which I modified as well, in case.When I access via msconfig or control panel system advanced start up and recovery, boot.ini is exactly like mentionned above.Thank you.Ghiom

Can anybody tell me what the correct name of the installer is for the 757 block B version 1.2? I renamed it to "Block B" for backup purposes, and now it won't install until I rename it correctly.-Jeremy

Hello,it is able to reduce the size of trees and autogen in the FS9 for a better performance. Is this possible with the ES Scenery / Instant Scenery Objects? I tried it but everytime the file size is bigger than the original file size. The original one is about 9kb and I want to reduce it.How to make this?Many thanks for help

Hi,as my pc now handles the FS2004 pretty smoothly with better meshes, textures, sceneries, skies, I thought of replacing the ugliest AI aircraft (AIA 757, AIA 763, FSP A343 and others) with e.g. opensky planes (I am not convinced about the AIG, TFS and AIM-planes either). Did someone already do this? How is the experience with that? Dramatic FPS-losses?Thanks,Chris

Having read the review of the Abacus PBY and the fact that one can test fly for free most of their aircraft, I say kudos to Abacus for allowing a test flight time period of 7 days for free. I hope that others will follow suit which may save money by letting one decide before buying if the product is not what one really wants or does not live up to expectations. How many of us purchase a car without test driving first, or try on a pair of shoes before buying? This type of policy would have saved me some cash on PMDG's Beech 1600D which, for me, was a little disappointing. The Rocky Mountains have a number of picturesque small airfields accessible to smaller airplanes. Trouble is with the base elevation of the airfields being something like 7,000 feet ASL single engine Cessnas and Moonies are struggling gaining height, even to the point of stalling out! Of course I have a mixture adjustment knob programmed on my stick and do my best to lean the mixture but it's not enough. So what kind of a small airplane is best for that kind of a flying environment? I realize a Supermarine Spitfire of WWII had a turbo-supercharger that ensured fast climb even in thin air...

Greetings all,As a habit, I like to properly name the aircraft folders in my FS9 aircraft folder. For example, if I download a 737 and the folder name is B_737, or something like that, then I change the name to Boeing 737. I do the same in the aircraft configuration file so that it is properly labled in FS9. However, when I do this with the LDS 767 the autopilot will not function. Is there anyway around this, or am I stuck with a black sheep folder?-Jeremy
