I am not very adept in this mod thing and would appreciate some help.I have added an airstrip using AFCAD and wish to add a second strip to same airport. I have found I can but only in the paraelle situation. I actually want to place the second strip with the base end near the original strip's base end but at approx 60 degree more.Can this be done?SB

Hello AllYesterday I downloaded and installed Chris Jeanne's 767-400 Panel and painstakingly installed all my favourite gauges.This is a good freeware panel for my POSKY 767s but for one thing reading information in the EICAS EHSI is very hard (at least for my ageing eyes )and i know that some panels have a click option that allows panel gauges to be enlarged,is this difficult to do?cheers Andy

Where can I get them? I have the takeoff calculator but I have nothing that will tell me what my Vref speeds must be when I arrive at my destination.Anyone?

Whenever I close down the game this message pops up. Logbook is no longer being updated. Anybody knows a fix?

I had my dedicated FS raptor go bad on me abou a week ago so I decided to add 2gig more RAM and add Vista 32 HE on my system. NewZEgg had a kickass deal so I installed as normal and FS9.1 statrs with the forward view with just the bottom half of the cessna panel .To fix the view to normal I must change a view and then go back.I am running latest Nvidia driver I think 174.25 w/o n-hancer on a 8800 GT 512.Before I goto deep into into the install with all my addons I want to know if this is a DX10 issue with FS9 using a DX10 compatible crad or I am missing some tweak in Vista.ThanksAndy

I've been flying with the PSS 757 for some time now, and it's always difficult using it after using the much higher quality PMDG and Level D birds.I've seen the threads on Captain Sim, but they seem more angled towards their poor support rather than how the aircraft actually flies.What I'm after is an honest opinion from someone who has owned both the CS 757 and the PSS 757 as to which one is the better 757 simulation, leaving out the pro's/con's of Captain Sims support methods/business practices. Having read the CS manuals, they paint a good picture. Does this match the reality?Thanks

This morning on a flight from Fairbanks, Alaska to Juneau, Alaska I discoved a certain "element" of the time keeping, that was incorrect. Just about everyone knows that GMT (Greenwitch Mean Time) starts in Greenwitch, England and the time zones spread out in both directions, East and West in zones of 15 degrees of longitude each:e.g. 15*, 30*, 45* etc. It is the same Local Time in each one of these zones. What some might not know is that the same local time does not extend , say from, 15* W to 30* W. The longitude (for example) of 30*W is the CENTER of a time zone and NOT its eastern or western boundery. The timezone extends 7 1/2 degrees to the EAST and 7 1/2 degrees t…

Hi, I currently using FS Realtime V1.87.6 and have noticed a UTC/Local timezone issue in Canada. The UTC and local time offset is out by 1 hour in some parts of Canada and wonder if anyone else is having issues. Looking at the history of FS Realtime: http://www.3dsoftworks.net/products/fsrealtime/history.aspI would like to try using version 1.86. Hi all fellow flightsim lunatics!Have been having a huge number of CTDs using Scotflight Scenery and I have discovered that the problem seems to be the AFCAD2 files from Flight 1 Ultimate Traffic. In case anyone else is experiencing this problem, the files which need to be deleted are:F1UT_EGPC, ..._EGPD, ..._EGPE, ..._EGPF, ..._EGPH, ..._EGPK, ..._EGPNI hope this is of help to anyone having similar problems.Bill

Most of the time I fly with the weather mode "Fair Weather" and the reading is alway 29.92 /1013. I fly with Radar Contact4 most of the time and it gave me a reading a couple of time LESS than 29.92, but has never given me anything but 29.92 before????? Just thought I'd pipe in here and say that of the flight planners I've used, I keep going back to FS Nav. I'm sorry the developer gave up on it, but I'm keeping it as long as I have FS9. FS Commander gets a lot of hype and is a good program (especially for Trans-ocean navigation) but FS Nav is far easier and has the options I like. I don't really care about the TACAS so much, as I can see the AI's if their close enough and I can hear ATC talk to them so it's not important I see their image on the flight planner. Just wanted to mention this in case someone was looking for feedback on flight planners.

I've seen numerous aviation videos esp. Russian crews operating Tu-154 and I love how the co-pilot talks to the captain calling out speeds and altitudes during takeoff and especially landing. I have a commercial 727 package from Sim Captain and it's a good product but the copilot calls out speeds during takeoff only but then shuts up for the duration of the flight. I'm especially interested in voice call outs during the landing phase.Can you recommend a product? FS 2004 only...Thanks in advance for suggestions.

How do I slow down the aircraft which wants to barrel down the tarmac when at idle? I take my foot off the break and she's up to 25 kts before I can get her slowed down and have to keep hitting the break to keep her under control. She's not overpowered (53,000 lbs) which is about right for this size aircraft. My other aircraft don't start to taxi til I give them a little throttle. Any idea how to reign this one in?Thanks

I just got a alert that Microsoft now has a Windows XP Service Pack 3. Has anyone installed it yet? What affects (good or bad) does this service pack have on FS9 (if any)?

I recently completely reinstalled FS9 and in doing so, deleted all of my textures and obviously replaced them with the default ones. The thing is that now all of my night textures are blurred and they weren't before. I remember that I had installed a texture pack from the file library that replaced all of the default textures with 'lighter' textures that were easier on my system. Now I can't find it. I'm in the mood for a new GA aircraft, and have narrowed it down to one of these models (I'm also a huge fan of Reality-XP gauges, and have spent a week fitting all manner of gauges to Cessnas, bigger Beechcrafts and even the PC-12, King Air B200 and DA Cheyenne; at least with these 2 models I can give FS Panel Studio a rest :)).Anybody have both? If so, what's your favourite? I know they're both top notch (I love Dreamfleet's B58 and 727). I just recently installed the new posky 747-400 with all the updates. Then I installed the iFly 747 panel and it worked amazingly for a while, and then all of a sudden just recently I went to the select aircraft menu, brought up my posky 747 and got a ctd. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing has helped. I was really enjoying the panel combined with the excellent posky 747 model. I havent found any help in any of the forums for this problem either so possibly there is a mistake I made if no one else seems to have come across any problem. Id greatly appreciate any helpRob

This is a strange one and haven't had it happen before. I have a P2 with an ATI RAdeon 9800 XT card, and am running FS9 with XP SP2. Things have been fine on my system with FS9, and I haven't made any changes. Graphics have been nice and smooth with the 9800 card, and I average 10-20 fps and have driver version 8.221.0.0. I ran FS the other night and everything was fine, smooth textures and all. Then the next night, I noticed the ground shimmering, glistening, flickering, etc., as if anti-aliasing had been turned off. (I have it turned off in FS but have it turned on through the card itself due to better performance.) I went to the desktop and opened the ATI Catalyst…

Maybe others have been doing this for years but I just stumbled onto it. You know how you end up aliasing all the twin engine sound files to the Baron 58 (or anyway most of them)? That's fine but it means THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME! Here's a trick that can be combined with a very slight amount of editing to make every aircraft have an individual sound.Put all the Baron 58 .wav files into the main sound folder for FS9 instead of just in the Baron's sound folder. To do this, just copy the whole Baron sound folder into the top level of FS9 so it finds the sound folder of FS9 and dumps all the contents into it. Then go through and find the sound.cfg file that fell in there and …

Megascenery is on sale for FS9. Question is, are any of these sceneries worth buying? I have bought Hawaii FSX mega scenery and they were pretty good, but since I use mostly FS9 this is one product I have not tried. Ok, what have I done? Lisbon City is one big grey area now, with the city not showing up. I've had and removed UT Europe, two different Lisbon sceneries, trying to find something good for the area. In the course of one of these I've erased the area. What's the stock FS9 for Lisbon area called? I'll just grab the .bgl from the FS2004 discs if someone knows it...Thanks,- daniel
