I was going to try the free trail of the Google mapping service for FS2004 and when I downloaded the trail of FS Earth it said that I must also have Google Earth to make the trail version (around (PANC) work. Does this mean that there are two differant programs that I must buy ?:1. FS Earth2. Google EarthPlease advise, thanks jerrycwo4

Hi folks, I thought I used to know the cause of the problem I seem to be having but cannot remember if or how to fix?My EGKK AFCAD seems to allow some aircraft to line up and depart while others just line up and then hold and time out. It is a very random problem and it does not appear consistant with a certain aircraft type (for example 737's sometimes go and then sometimes time out, sometimes a 757 or 747 will get stuck but other times they depart with no problem). Just before aircraft get stuck and time out they appear to do a shuffle on the runway and I believe this is because there are too many nodes on the taxi line (I think??)I have not made any alterations to it s…

Hi,For some reason, if I check the AA setting in FS9, it looks pretty good. However, if I uncheck it and use a program such as nHancer to run the vid card, it doesn't seem to look good, and it is horribly jagged.I thought it should be the other way.I have this vid card and set up:nVidia geforce 9600GT 512MB with 174.74 driversrunning with nHancerAMD X2 62 6000+4GB Gskill PC6400 RAM

HiI've got the abacus 787 for FS2004 and in VC mode the HUD display doesn't show. This was also raised in the avsim review. I contacted Abacus about this and whether there is a fix and their reply was "I'm sorry, but we do not have any patches and/or updates for thedreamliner. Hi,the day before yesterday I suffered a CTD with msvcr.dll message.Yesterday I took the same flight (sped it up a bit...) and no problems.. until taxiing towards the gate at ESMS. then.. I'm on a around the world flight and have noticed some strange "time" things. When you fly from one time zone to another does the local time change in FS2004? On a flight this morning from Dutch Harbor Alaska (PADU) to Kodiak (PADQ) I departed at 1744 Local Time ( 0444 GMT). I had a figgured flight time of 1:38. I landed and closed my flight (in FS Passengers) exally at 0622GMT, the ETA and the ETA was supposed to have been 1922 LT, but the local time was 2022 vice 1922. I think I flew over a time zone. So I don't normally come and boast about software because there is always someone willing to start an argument ;) BUT I have had FSEarth since Version 3.2 (I think...)TBH I always found that it caused Huge stutters so I never really used it.Well I have always updated Google Earth and after doing all of my rebuilds (as you can see by my sig LOL) I decided to give FSEarth another try. Hi allI've created a flaps sound that is intended to be played back one time for every flaps setting I set, so e.g. flaps 1, flaps 2, flaps 5 etc.How can I achieve this?I tried it out a few times but it was played back multiple times while the flaps were retracting.Hope someone can help.Regards,

Hi.I am trying to use the captain sim 707 panel on a HJG aircraft, and everything seems to be working just fine except for the ILS.I am tuned to the correct ILS freq, and the app course is set, however when I engage the ILS/LOC and glide, the a/c veers off to the right and does not establish.Anyone have any ideas why this is happening, and any suggestions as to how to correct it.Many thanks for any help.

All,I have been advised that a modified version of Flight Sim Manager is now available. The date lock feature has been removed.The file doesn't appear to be available here but can be downloaded from flightsim.com. Now don't laugh too loud. I did a little searching and did not find the answer to this question although I am sure I saw a posting awhile back about it. I want to have two versions of FS9 on my PC. I have almost 1TB of disk space on two physical disks. Can I put another FS9 on?The version I have been using since the Christmas holidays is running well and is tweaked to my liking but I want another version to play with by trying out addons to see the difference without clouding up the issue with previous addons, etc. A benchmark version so to speak. Just had my second flight with FS9 on my new system.My first flight was flawless. Now, I got a CTD with msvcr70.dll-error message...Any ideas?I found another msvcr70.dll and downloaded it.. Replaced the one in WIN/SYS32...Could this be the cure?

I just bought FSPassengers a few weeks ago and I LOVE it. Those of you that fly with it know what special "things" that it adds to FS2004. My main problem is figguring out the correct FLIGHT TIME in hours/minutes and the number of pounds of fuel the flight will take. I did a little "reverse engineering" and came up with: Fuel= 8 X miles ( in lbs of fuel), and Flight Time = miles/4.6. This morning I arrived at my destination with 2235# fuel remaing, but I arrived 55 minutes TOO early and you know I lost points for being too early. What program or programs are most of you using to get the correct numbers for Flight time and required pounds of fuel? I love the way it gra…

I downloaded the freeware version of this from the Alphasim site. It has no instrument panel in the cockpit view and the VC doesn't have any switches or gauges that function. Is there a instrument panel & gauges available somewhere that will work with it? What's the process for getting the instrument panel into the cockpit view?Thanks.tnbriggs

Hello,I've noticed that my ground textures are always shaking. Just the grass not the runway... The problem become more apparent when I installed a new detail1.bmp for the grass. It use to happen before but now its worse....Does anyone know what the problem is ?Thanks

You know all the yellow text in the GPS receiver, well, it's now in italics, it definitely didn't used to be this way.I've narrowed it down to perhaps the installation of XP SP3.Question is, what is the font used? Making sure that font is on my system should be enough. Although it doesn't bother me that much, I would still like to try and fix it.
