FS crashes when near Sion (LSGS) but only during the day.I was able to fly into, or start at, LSGS without a problem but now FS crashes but the faulting module is 'unknown'.If I try to start a flight from LSGS terrain loading gets to about 56% then FS crashes.If I start at LSGG and then slew towards LSGS I can get to within about 5nm then FS locks up and crashes with same unknown module error.This does NOT happen if I set time to night.I can start at the small airfields near LSGS, such as LSMN, LSMJ & LSGG at any time of day.I have 3rd party scenery for LSGG, LSZH and the Swiss package from Daniel Gauthier. Downloaded the Project Opensky A340 but cannot work out how to turn the cockpit displays on when running the model in FS2004. Rest of model appears to work fine. Grateful for a clue!

I would really appreciate any help with this question. How can I extend the higher resolution "horizon" so that I don't get this ugly cut-off? See pics below:I have all settings maxed out and have a fast computer and GPU (6750 duo core and Nvidia 8800 GT plus, 2 gigs of RAM.) Sim runs fantastic but the only thing bugging me is that horizon line, which looks awful when flying at high altitudes.Could this perhaps be a fs9.cfg setting that needs to be increased?Thank you!

I just finished installing a new Raptor Hard Drive (10K rpm) and used the imaging software included with the drive to transfer everything inlcuding FS2004 from my old hard drive. It was running fine for a while but I'm now getting flashes of "angular colors" and colorful lines while both taxiing on the ground and flying about every 3 or 4 seconds, as though the scenery is being interfered with for microseconds at a time. I can't post a screenshot because the color flashes only last about a 1/2 second each.I'm trying to avoid a complete reinstall (I just spent 4 days on a complete reinstall and re-tweak last week when I finished the build of the new system, when BestBuy …

My DC-10's come in at very steep angle on final approach, especially if using ILS. My other aircraft and real life aircraft come in at a slight 'nose-up' attitude, but these come in almost at a nose dive at 145 kts, then I have to pull up the nose abruptly to get an 'all wheels' level touchdown. It seems the nose wants to come down when the rest of the plane doesn't. Any idea how to correct that? Otherwise, it flies like a dream. Thanks

Is it just me or is Ai Separation not working with FSUIPC 3.81. It always get me an error in program even after I re downloaded it. It seems it started giving me that error after I installed the new FSUIPC. Can anyone give me a link to FSUIPC 3.80?

While in the PNW I got to see the Concorde at the Museum of flight in Seattle.I want to fly it in FS9.What version is the best PSS or SSTSim? I would like to install custom ai sounds for my Ai aircraft insted of the default sounds in FS9..how do i go about doing this?

I don't understand what my AI Smooth is doing or why it isn't doing what it's supposed to.I set up my flight and fire up AI smooth and all that jazz, but I honestly can't tell any difference between having it running or not. I see the list of aircraft it's monitoring, the list of aircraft that are arriving at whichever airport, etc. It still doesn't stop runway incursions or even seem to diminish them, planes still taxi slower than a turtle with arthritis (and I don't find a setting to adjust taxi speed like I thought was supposed to be adjustable in AISmooth) etc?so what gives?

Is there a good freeware f-22 Raptor for fs9 that has realistic flight dynamics? By realistic flight dynamics I mean for example thrust vectoring.

Hi Folks I decided to check the arrivals of some of my AI traffic at some of the smaller airports that I've been sending them to. I discovered, at one airport, that some of the flights are "going missed". They're approaching too high, flying 50-100ft. above the runway then "Going Missed". Other flights,such as the Beech 1900's are landing as they should. I had made some adjustments to the AFCAD(as per Google Earth)so removed it,thinking that might be the problem, but the same thing happens with the default. Other traffic in the area is not the problem. None of these aircraft act this way at the larger airports.Anyone have any suggestions?Thanks, Ken

I need instructions for downloading an aircraft from the AVSIM Library to FS9 and/or FSX.My new PC has the Vista OS with both FS9 and FSX installed. I get the aircraft file "unzipped' into my Download file, but from there on I'm stuck. "Step-by-step", what do I do next? :-hmmm --Roger

Hi all,I like to keep my aircraft folders neat and tidy, but I have a new aircraft, the Maule M-7-260, which is making it a bit sloppy. Each version, the amphibian, tricycle, taildragger, tundra, etc, is in its own folder. Is it possible to put all aircraft into one folder and have them draw from a different aircraft.cfg file and airfile? Thanks for any help,-Jeremy

Hey all. I was wondering if somebody could help me out. Whenever I am on approach my view always cycles to the next one. For example, when i'm landing in the cockpit view, it will change to virtual cockpit. It only does this when i'm on approach. Any other time it will not change. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or am I just missing something. Any help would be much appreciated.

I downloaded and am using Bill Lyons piper pacer. It is a great little plane but I have one problem with it. It wants to climb all the time and I have to hold constant pressure on the yoke to keep it flying level. I have a trim knob on my ch yoke and even with it all the way to the end I still have to hold pressure. I wondered if anyone else had this problem and how it can be fixed. I know it is not JUST mine because my friend has the same plane with the same problem.Don

Hi guys,can anyone help me, please? I started with using "Mirage FMS" but now I have problem with too slow heading bug on EHSI. I'm using mouse wheel for +/- selection, and didn't have any problem with any other HSI heading bug previously. Is it possible to "speed-up" that bug?ThanxHrvoje
