I have a STAR runway system set up at HECA and I'm finding that sometimes, ATC gives vectors to AI aircraft to one of the 'ghost' runways, in this case, 14L. I've checked and all the ghost runways are set at length 10ft, and are closed on both ends for both take off and landing. traffic should be vectored to to runway 16, I would think. Any idea the problem? thanks

Could some guru please clear this up for me? I've searched the forum but get conflicting advice..Are ALL empty texture folders a no-no, likely to cause memory problems in FS9, or is it only texture folders associated with landclass files?And as soon as a texture folder contains as few as one bitmap file, is it somehow therefore rendered 'harmless', no longer being empty? I've never quite understood this 'empty' folder thing - if FS doesn't find the bitmap file it's expecting to find in a particular texture folder, isn't that just as bad as the texture folder being truly empty?Thanks,Martin

I own the PSS 757 with the manual, but it doesn't describe the systems in detail. With the fuel system, how can you crossfeed so I rectify desceprency in my left and right wing tanks?With an engine out, what is the procedure for a restart (you have to lower your FL) and obviously DO NOT NEED BLEED AIR!Just a couple of curious questions, does anyone have knowledge os this?

No instructions are included with the freeware. Has anyone been able to figure out the panel? Is there an autopilot? Seems a waste of time to post a nice GMAX with no other info.- Kevin

Anyone care to point me in the direction of a free texture package which gives more realistic blue skies in FS9 at altitude? I currently use ASV but their textures are too pale... When I searched the forum I found plenty of posts from a few years back that this or that developer was working on it so I would suppose someone finished..!I checked out Environment Indigo and Silver Wings already but these are also very pale. Perhaps it can't be done but that would suprise me... it should just be a case of darkening the texture images (not that I have the time to try it, there are a lot of textures!)Geoff

Hi.I'm in need of someone to write a batch file for me. I use FE and each time I change and load textures it overwrites the waterzon files I previously copied. I'd like to just click on a batch instead of cutting and pasting every time. Any takers?Michael

Isn't there a photoreal scenery for Germany, similar to that of Aerosoft's FSX release? Or has it disappeared?One further question, if anyone knows, can you use FSX scenery with FS2004?

Ever notice that add-on products you've purchased don't live up to their billing? It's one of the things that have frustrated me throughout my flight sim years. "Minimum" and "recommended" system requirements are apparently often fabricated to achieve a sale. The customer support for these products is essentially imaginary. In the FSUIPC.ini file? The fs9.cfg file? If the latter, is there an easy way to tell where the assignments start and where they end?I just got done building my new system and I've had a lot of unexpected problems over the past two weeks, and I absolutely dread reprogramming my CH Yoke, Throttle quad, and Foot Pedals. I would much rather just copy it all over from my old computer if I could. At Cairo, ATC is assigning the "5" runways 5l/r and the 23's 23 L/R in reverse order accoridng to the wind. I couldn't figure out why I was directed to 23L with the wind at 035 @ 10. I should have been directed in the other direction. I did some testing and find that with the wind set at 230 @ 15, I'm now directed to 5L. With the wind at 050 @ 15, I'm directed to 23 L or R! I have a STAR rwy system set up at Cairo so as to use all runways and never noticed this before. I'm using 5L as my starting point, then doing my STAR configuration up to rwy 16, with 7.5 degrees between each. ATC is either misreading the wind or misreading the runways. Any ideas?Thanks,

Pros1. Ground handling characteristics are different from block B2. FMS more fully implemented - has a nice hold feature3. Weather radar is cool4. Overhead switches do stuff now5. Frame rates are ok on a dual core machine with decent memory and a 256 mb video card6. I've started getting an odd corruption of airport locations in FS2004.For example if I select Heathrow (EGLL) as the start location and in Flight Planner, it shows the field as "Heathrow Helipad", which is JFGL. Similarly, making an FS Passengers flight, correctly setting the destination as EGLL and landing at the wrong location, the end of flight report informed me I had landed at JFGL.The only recent changes I've made to FS2004 are installation of two freeware aircraft - a POSKY 757 and a DC9 with Panels and sounds. Hello all, I'm a big fan of the 767-400 but a quality add on doesn't exist for it. The Level D 763 is my favorite plane but the 764 has basically a 777 panel. I've searched the internet for the last two days but have yet to find a PSS 777 and a POSKY 767-400 merge. If somebody has successfully merged the POSKY 764 with the PSS 777 panel please post it here. If not (which is most likely true), is there anyone that could attempt it and then post it here? I would like some help on this matter.I have Ttools now what? lolI know this much that i need to decompile the bgl into 3 txt files if I wanna edit the default AI plans in fs9.Now, I want to make my own plans, because I modified an grasstrip to be a full Airport with parkings and ATC.Is there ANY other way of creating flightplans other then write them myself in notepad?.Sure, use yroute this webpage says, but it doesent work the way I hoped it would. Is there a server for online flying apart from using the Squawbox required Vatsim or IVAO?I know you can make your own multiplayer session, but is there any that are on all the time?

Is it possible to upgrade to XP64 edition and boost your memory up to 4GB or 8GB (Max 32GB) so we can do without these 'OOM' errors?Any ideas?I know I get system hangs if I run netscape or other programs whilst flying in FS2004. I suppose that is what my other computer is for.

Hey Everyone,Just started to get this problem after installing AES 1.95 I'm pretty sure. Whenever I open FS9.exe, the program opens, to the splash screen thing, then just closes itself. It doesn't even get to the menu thing. I did it again with Task Manager open, and the application flashes from Running to Not Responding. I have no idea what is wrong!! It is really frustrating cause I want to fly, and DON'T want to have to reinstall FS! LOLAny help would be brilliant..
