Hi!Does anyone know where to find all textures for the default KJFK?I'm going to try to replace/repaint them myself, unless there areready-made replacement textures.It's a shame how boring/ugly they are.I don't want to use Simflyer's or any other addon sceneries,because of framerates.Grateful for help.Thanks!Hans HermanssonSweden

Just got both Montana unleashed packages in the library. Great scenery! There is a freeware KMSO that I have been using for a while though which is better than the one in the Montana package. I had to uninstall the original freeware KMSO in order to not get double terminals, hangars, etc. I was wondering if anyone knew how to exclude the KMSO in the Montana Unleashed package so I could still use the freeware KMSO that I was already using. I forgot the filename on the original but its the only standalone KMSO around. Thanks for the help.

As a proud owner of Aerosoft-Simwings' new Madrid Barajas scenery, I've been flying in and out a fair amount recently.However, AI aircraft are not recognising the new runways and ILS frequencies - and I know this is something that can't be fixed in an Afcad.I have raised this with Aerosoft, who say Simwings are looking into it.I was wondering though whether any fantastic Avsim reader was able to, or willing to, code a bgl that makes AI/ATC use the new runways.Many thanksRob

Upon purchasing a new computer (Q6600 Quad core, 2 Gs Ram, Win XP Pro) and a top-of-the-line nVidia 9800GX2 I was staggered to realize that there were still some FS2004 sceneries that run terribly on my system. I aim for 30FPS, which considering that games like Crysis and BioShock run easily at that target (with everything turned on) it seems frustrating that I can do worse in FS2004. I've tried many tricks and tips, all the usual fs9.cfg, defrag, etc. to little success. Well, over the past few weeks my fs2004 install has been becoming more and more buggy, so I decided to just give up and reinstall completely. I just got back so far with a clean fs2004, the 9.1 patch and FSUIPC for my controllers... I forgot what a clean sim can do! The program loads up in seconds. I click "fly now!" and I actually am ready to fly in a few seconds! I'm just amazed at all the "stuff" I install over the base simulator. Mesh, Ultimate Terrain, Ground textures, water textures, ActiveSky textures, etc etc etc. That doesn't even touch add-on airports or aircraft. The sheer volume of it is amazing! Hi,Is it possible to show one and the same aircraft (let's say a 737) for all multi-player aircraft when flying online?I have severe performance loss when visitng busy airports online and I suspect a few of my payware models are being used for rendering online traffic (although I have several online packages installed)Therefore I would like to have each and every aircraft having the same single aircraft model/livery. Is this difficult to realize?

Hello AllDoes anybody know if the thunderstorms in fs9 vary in intensity at all?The reason i ask is because last night i took a flight from Gatwick to San Giusto(LIRP)with downloaded weather from ACTIVESKY, and while we have had very heavy showery weather this week in the UK with the occasional rumble of thunder when i started my flight from Gatwick the thunder storm was Mahoosive more like the storms you see in the U.S. on one of those storm chaser programs.Is there only one type and intensity of thunderstorm in FS9?cheers Andy

Hi All!For some time now i have an important change which is very irritating to the eye..After i load FS everything is ok with the aircraft preview in the first screen. After i choose a plane or even if i load a flight with cessna and then change aircraft, i get the aircrafts texture DARK! Like decresing the brightness of the monitor but only fot the aircraft texture. The result is to have a Dark aircraft..And i cant remember when this started to happen...:(Any ideas?

Ok, so there are a number of decent heavies (PMDG747, LDS 767), a couple of good medium range airlines (PMDG737NG, PIC737, LH Maddog), and even a good turboprop (Flight1 ATR), but what about regional jets?I know the following exists...Wilco/PIC CRJ-200: seems more of a miss than a hit from what I have seen.Wilco/PIC EMB-145: haven't tried any suggestions (I also know that EMB145 doesn't do A/T)Virtual Col E-Jets: Miss from what i have read??? Hello Fellow FS2004 Virtual Pilots:As we all know, we have grown accustomed to the default FS2004 and all the commercial ground texture upgrades blurring and distorting during high-altitude flight. PC specifications and aircraft speed are big factors, as well as how often and when the pilot switches between views (cockpit, virtual cockpit, spot plane, control tower). You literally have to fly ''low and slow'' all the time to see any crystal clear ground textures at all, and even then, they are only crystal clear within a small area immediately beneath your moving aircraft. Hi guys, is there any way while in windowed mode to prevent FS from muting the sound when I switch to another window? I've got the 'pause on task switch' box unticked and it keeps running fine when I switch but without sound I don't know whether ATC is speaking to me or not.Just that sometimes on a long IFR leg I'd like to be able to switch to email or Firefox in between.Thanks in advance.Cheers, Bruce :)

I'm not all that experienced with FS2004 scenery, so I need the help of you guys to fill in the blanks ...I've installed FS2K4.zip and all three fixes that came after it (ylwfix04, ylwup and ylwupfix). Only discrepancy is the need for RWY12, which I don't think affects this problem.Essentially, my lakes are square.So if you guys could help me gather together the best for CYLW (and surrounding area, too), that would be amazing. I'm trying to write a SIDSTAR based on my RNP charts for YLW, integrating that for PMDG. I see that some of my MD-11's by Overland are missing night lighting. These seem to be the ones primarily done by J. Waters. I'm not able to contact him as his email is inoperative. Are there generic files that produce night lighting regardless of the livery?I'm referring mainly to the Pan Am, National, Eastern liveries. (Yes I know these carriers didn't fly MD-11's, but in MY world, EVERYTHING flies ...:) )Thanks

I've been simming for years now and I am puzzled about one thing with saved flights: once in a rare while when I save a flight and then reload it during a subsequent sim session, the saved situation doesn't get loaded at all, and I am in the same plane and at the same location. For e.g., I was just in the default Cessna at Narita and then I decided to load a saved flight in the PSS 777 at FL400 over France. But when I clicked to load the 777 flight from the Select Flight menu, nothing happened and I was still at Narita in the Cessna.I checked the saved flight file with the 777 and it has all the right details as far as I can see, but it just does not load.Why does this …
