I have been looking for a good panel for the default ( or other ) 737 / 757 etc. While flying FS9, there were panels that had lots of data, the buttons actually worked but looked terrible. Here's the rub: I want a good panel for FSX. One that installs easily, looks half way decent, the buttons work while supplying some of the data ( fuel etc ) that the FS9 panels supplied. I'm aware that some a/c in FS9 and FS2002, have reverse compatability without conflict in many cases. How about FS9 cloud textures being put into FS2002 Pro?Didn't seem to find any decent replacement textures for 2002 Pro..I want to get my weather looking much better than the default.I have Flight Environment, Active Sky and GE Pro installed in FS9, but don't really want to put out the cash for FS 2002 Pro..I really care to only manage one fight sim, it's too much work.My FS Terrain works ok with 2002, but I want some freeware textures for the rest of my sim. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Dave

Hope someone can help. I recently activated the 3GB switch in windows in order to add more mem and also installed VRoute Premimum. My system showed no problems and ran very well. I launched FS9 for a short flight and now i'm getting this panels.dll error when fs9 trys to boot and then shuts down. I even deleted the dll, pulled out the fs9 cd and copied a new one to the modules folder and i'm still getting this error with no other apps running.ThanksAlex

Genuine, or maybe not so genuine problem:I discovered today, to my high surprise, when I compared resolutions a bit, that my 8800GT produces in full screen lower FPS, no matter how "big" the picture is in pixels.Meaning, in my windowed mode, I am using effectively about 1550x1100 pixels, when I stretch it to the max on my widescreen, around 1920x1150, and if I use full screen, I usually set either 1600x1200 or 1920x1200.Now, the kicker is, I get more FPS in 1920x1150 windowed maximized than in 1600x1200 (or even 1280x1024!!) in full screen.How is that possible? I thought card is simply rendering pixels, no matter if windowed or not.Is there anything else that is happening…

I don't fly these types. Hi everybody, i was thinking about improve the mesh terrain in fs9 and i really dont know what of these two options (FSGenesis or FSGlobal) i will choose. If the money is not a problem, can anybody tell something comparing this two packages. I usually fly in south america, but this dont mean i dont care about the terrain in other zones. In fact, after knowing south america y will fly to the USA or to Europe, so i would like to have the terrain ready for those zones too.Talking about resolution, which one is better?For south america, which one would you chose?At the end, do these two packages do the same think? i mean, i will see the same terrain improvements using one or…

I just bought a new computer. Anyone have any luck using Active Camera with Vista 64? I love Active Camera but I get a black screen anytime I click on the settings or assignment key. FS9 itself works fine in full screen mode, not windowed. Any suggestions are appreciated.Curt

'm running XP SP2(also with SP3,same problem)with FS2004.No clouds add ons installed or clouds textures,Fresh install(already installed PMDG LDS etc and scenery but it doesn't matter because It was from the start).Every time I'm flying with CB or overcast clouds or just heavy clouds.the frames drop to 5 to 10 FPS.The problem is definitely the clouds because when I pan to the ground without eye contact with the clouds the fps is going back to 30(locked 30).It has nothing to do with the aircraft,Cessna or PMDG 747,same results.I tried DXT3 textures and got the same results.Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.ThanksErez

Hi folks,I'm quite new to the ATR. I have a question regarding how to perform an ILS approach. Normally you have to tune the NAV1 and NAV2 receiver with the respective frequency of the runway.Does the ATR show me the data within the FMC or do I have to obtain them from another source, so to speak charts? Lately, whenever I fly online (VATSIM) I do not see any traffic. I do not know why. No changes have been made to any of the settings in FS9 or Squawkbox; I have not installed anything, etc. One day I could see the traffic, the next day I could not. Sometimes the traffic appears on tcas. However a couple of days ago I was landing in LAX and a 747 was on final next to me, but if he would not have stated on UNICOM that he was on final 25R (I was on final on 25L), I might have taxied right in front of him on my way to the gate. I never had a visual on any other aircraft in the flight, including the 747 less than a quarter mile away from me on final and taxiing; no one was eve…

Hello,I never did this, but I want to do it for one of my aircraft. In panel.cfg there must be number that changes the eyepoint height. I know I can change it in the sim at every flight. I would like to change it permanently, so that when I press space, to reset the view, it changes to the higher version. What do I have to change please? It is for the PMDG's VC, whose eyepoints are much too low IMHO.

I have not received any response yet at the AVSIM Unofficial PSS forum on my question, so I am posting here as well in case there are any experienced PSS 777 simmers, as follows:The term "Landing Altitude" illuminates either frequently or constantly on the PFD and EICAS of the PSS T-7 model. I cannot figure out why it does this. I can CANCEL it on the EICAS although it returns later and I can never find a way to cancel it in the lower right corner of the PFD. Can anybody help?Appreciate any assistance, thanks!JS

I have had a sudden change in the size and shape of some aircraft lights and airport lights. They are now stark and round. They look very fake. any ideas on how to redo these to more realistic lighting?

Somebody please tell me, why on Anchorage (PANC) airport at the gate B14 (and any gates around this gate) when I moving camera around aircraft in spot view on one side raining and visability changing to low and on other side of plane NOT raining and visability changing to almost unlimited. It's NOT due to ASv 6.5 because without ASv that problem happens also. Maybe somebody know how to repair this by changing ASv 6.5 options. Please help me.Sorry for my englishMartin

For me it started off innocently enough. Like many others, I downloaded some nice freeware scenery from AVSIM for my local flying area. Then it was for areas I'd flown before. Then it was for areas I'd like to fly. Now, of course, my mission is to download the entire world in hi-res photo scenery. =oPUnfortunately, I've created the unwieldy file library monster. I want to consolidate and organize the library, but if I understand how FS9 file library works, you can't just group multiple scenery areas under a single folder and add that one folder to the library. It requires all of the .bgl scenery files and texture files from EACH scenery area to be consolidated into a sing…

Hi Folks, Where can I get a utility that will allow me to generate a traffic file from a schedule for a real world airline? I've used a lot of traffic files generated by others but I seem to spend a lot of time adjusting them for missing flights and wrong times.Thanks, Ken

Hi!I wonder what is wrong about my FS9 default Lake Michigan.It comes out with patches of dark blue (almost black) that aresquare in the midst of the lake, which otherwise is normal.Does anyone know what is wrong?I checked everything; landclass files, etc. and found nothing.Grateful for any help.Thanks.Hans HermanssonSweden

Can anyone help me restore all my lost default AI traffic...After trying to install Traffic with Ultimate Traffic, without success i might add ...it seems i have a corrupt copy of U.T. ....And after uninstalling U.T. and running fs2004 all my traffic had disappeared. I've replaced the traffic030528.bgl file, with the one off my fs2004 #4 disk, but with no luck still no traffic. Is there anything else i must restore, its just not the same without traffic. any help with this problem would be much appreciated. Best regards Peter

I had the opportunity to test drive one of their aircraft. Not much, about 1/2 hour but biy was it enough. Did not have time to play with the FMC but pretty sure it will be warped as well. Some issues I had was the aircraft not retracting gear, playing the default cessna sounds and A/P not engaging. (All was after I loaded the default cessna first) It was pretty much a hit and miss affair getting it to work correctly after takeoff.Eventually googled and got their support forum where the A/P issue was resolved as you need …
