The default Flight Planner map (also accessible in flight) really sucks IMHO and I'm wondering if there's a 3rd party product, payware or freeware, that improves over this pathetic system. I guess what I'm looking for is a map that's hopefully bigger than my driver's license and with better interface controls.

I've gotten pretty good at automatic ILS approaches but if tower directs me to a visual runway I have problems estimating the descent rate so I don't undershoot or overshoot the threshold. I fly CaptainSim's Legendary 727. Is there any rule of thumb to estimate the rate? Runways have approach lights (red and white) but I'm not very successful using them as a guide.Now, the automatic pilot in the 727 has a pitch dial that is very good and allows for very precise control of the pitch angle; I can raise and lower the nose 1 degree at a time.

I can get the exit doors to operate no problem but sometimes the cargo door is more of a challange. I'm sure the Overland Airbus products have cargo door operation as an option but can't seem to get them to work. The A380 says the "cargo display gauge' operates them but I'm not using the Overland panel. Is there a standard command for cargo door operation? I'd like to program it into my Saitek joystick equipment.Thanks

Hi all I am trying to track down Flightviewer by Max Roodveldt but I cannot find an active web site.I need this [i believe] for adding Nav capabilities to FS9 gliders.I would appreciate any help regarding any guage addons for FS9 gliders.Also I have been to the usual websites and got loads of stuff but I cannot find any decent istructions for CCS2004 can anyone help me with this.Regards. I have the Navajo Panther V2 for Fs9. In the configurator you have the option to use the RXP 530 GPS instead of the deafult GPS by just enabling a checkbox. Will that work as easy with the new upgraded 530XP WAAS? Maybe someone has tried?

When i get close to the contact points for refuelling, there is no tanker in the air...Time and date (day of the week) are correct and according to the data in the documentationThe Myasischev 3M is available as AI-acft, Traffic_M3_tanker.bgl is in /scenery/world/scenery, Timecorrection TZ30.zip is installed..My interpretation of his list is thate.g.: Wednesday at UIIB at 10:05 UTC there should be a tanker ready for departure. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to check if it is working at all?Best regards,LOWI

After installing an addon traffic package the only problem ive noticed so far is that mixed in with the wealth of real world ai, the default MS planes are still lurking around. As ive been away from my simming for some time now, i've forgotten how to edit my traffic to remove these flightplans using the default aircraft. Would it possibly be easier to just replace the default models with a PAI one rather than editing flightplans if that the case? I just purchased the Reality XP 430WAAS add-on, but I messed up the installation on the aircraft. I was attempting to install the device on the DreamFleet Archer III. It appears that I did not complete the GNS configuration program successfully.First off this was my mistake, not an installation software error. So how do I recover? Do I need to remove and reinstall the complete software package, or is there a configuration program that can be run from within the existing installation that allows the updating of the on plane installation. I believe that I did not run the GNS Configuration package correctly.ThanksTom

I've asked the members of this forum, several times, for advice on FS addons, and I have apppreciated the many responses I've received. Now, I'd like to know what you all think about the Eaglesoft Citation X.I love corporate jets. I'm not ashamed to admit that, even with my small stable of payware aircraft, the default Lear 45 (FS 9.1) is still my favorite aircraft. I haven't YET, but I'm soon to add the ISG package to that plane.I'm interested in the Citation X. Is it worth it? Why or why not? I'd love to read details from people who actually own it.

Hello,I created some buildings at an airport with EZ Scenery some days ago and I want to delete them now but EZ Scenery Manuel says I only can delete objects I created in the ongoing FS9 session and I am not able to move/delete objects createt in previous FS9 sessions, f.e. 2 days ago.But it must be possible. I can not imagin that it is not possible to delete them.Many thanks for any answers!!!!Best Regards

FS Passenger looks fun, but I don't like flying the big aircraft. Does it cater for 172's, Caravans, Mooneys etc, not exactly airline flying I know, but how does FSP work with these? Is it worth it?

Now that i've finally got fs2004 running well with the hardware and add-on software that it deserves, i fancy having a bash at a round the world flight. Does anyone have a route that they can recommend that will give me the best experience possible? hoping to start and finish in the UK and would like the stops to all be within 737NG range of each other is that can be done. If not i might change to the level-d 767. Would also be great if there was a good payware or freeware scenery for each stop just to make the whole thing more interesting.I tried this about a year ago on my old rig and i only got from Edinburgh to Sofia before i go too fed up with all the computer crashe…

Hey guys, I've just re-installed FS2004 on my brand new machine, which is a Core 2 Duo E8400 processor, 4 GB RAM, Geforce 8800GTS 512MB video card with the latest nVidia WHQL drivers (175.something). This thing should run FS2004 with everything pushed over to the right quite easily, and it does...in full-screen mode only.I've installed no add-ons at all as of yet, just FS2004, the 9.1 update, and the no-CD mod (to save wear and tear on my disk #4). In the default flight, sitting on the ground at KSEA, if I'm in full-screen mode at my normal resolution of 1680x1050, I get 40 fps (locked at 40). If I switch to windowed mode, still at 1680x1050, I get 8 fps. Anti-aliasin…

Hi everybodyI've got just about all the RXP gauges, except the Jetline 4. I've got the CLS A300/310 and A330/A340 and A345/346, just wondering if it's worth buying the JL4 and retrofitting them. I haven't been using the CLS birds for a while (once PMDG gets a hold, it's hard to shake), maybe a panel makeover might get me behind the yoke/sidestick again. Hi, I am a fan of Brian Neitzel's work so I didn't hesitate to install his final version. I know, I am also using Ground Environment Pro and ASV 6.5 so my textures should be ok, but these guys seem to have forgotten the old FS9 users, and one likes to see some changes sometimes....But, after I replaced the textures and feeling sure that shouldn't I like them I would use said programs to reinstall my previous versions, I got a fatal error during start up of FS9. It starts, lets me select aircraft and airport and then when installing that it stops and I get the 'send an error report to MS' screen. I have reinstalled GE Pro, ASV and the Ultimate Terrain programs but to no av…

After waiting so long for Block F then buying it .I still can't get my B757 up and running because of whatever problems they are haveing with their site. I have lost my Phoenix Sim downloads with their problems. .Looks like more good money gone to waste. I will have to reconsider buying any more downloads as you don't actually own the goods you purchase .

I'm trying to reinstall my Captain Sim C-130 and the installer is giving me an "error code 11" when it tries to authenticate my order number. Attempting to go to www.captainsim.com doesn't work either, something's blocked between me and their server or else their website is dead.
