I have just tried to add a new rwy at Abu Dhabi Airport. I'm 'trying' to use FSFlatten. However, after producing the .bgl and placing it in Addon Scenery, I visited the airport and found all the buildings about 200' in the air, plus the sea was lapping the end of Rwy 13!This problem may have been caused by 'marking' the airport area with Slew mode still active.Any help would be very welcome.Ken

The title of this topic really says it all: I'm using Ken Mitchell's fantastic 757 Panel with Greetmir Goodeguard's tremendous FS2004 updates which available here at AVSIM with the POSKY 757 and lately the GPWS keeps calling "10" "10" '10" while on the ground, either taxiing to or from the runway. Would anyone know how I could 'desensitize' this feature, or even completely remove it? -- I already have GPWS capability from both my FS Passengers and FDC Live Cockpit so I don't really even need it in a panel any more. I'm using the Friendly Panel 737 NG panel in the POSKY 737s and when landing on ILS and I'm close to the runway threshold I usually disengage the APPR button, the IAS button, and finally the A/P lever, usually in rapid succession, to execute the final touchdown. However, as soon as I disengage the APPR button, the ALT Hold switch and the IAS Hold switch automatically engage and I start to 'sail away' -- very frustrating.Is this normal behavior for a 737? Is there something in either the panel.cfg I can change or my FS9.cfg file that's messed up somehow? I'm also running (and often execute this procedure) from FSNavigator -- I'm also running FS Passengers and FDC Live Cock…

Had this warning pop up in FS9. Not seen this one before, maybe that was just lucky for me, but has anyone else ever had it occur? thought it was worth mentioning what with all the 'Jeppeson bailing out' stuff we've heard recently.I could understand it if there were a lot of people downloading the weather for some big city somewhere, but this was for Archangel up in Northern Russia.Al

Hey..I've been using FE clouds with the DXT3 checked off. The other day I unchecked it so see what it'd look like with the 32bit coloring..wow..much better...yet FPS took a big hit. My question, which looks better...256x256 res clouds in 32bit color...or 512x512 res clouds in DXT3 color. Also, I have both AS and FE..any opinions on which clouds look better.The reason I ask is because when trying to see which I like better, I'm not sure..and end up going back and forth between options instead of flying..I'd rather get the opinion of people who used them.What I don't like about the DXT3 textures is that when you get close to the clouds..the shades on them are very boxy.

Hey Guys,Everytime I load FS2004 lately I keep getting error message Addon\Scenery in scenery .038 not found??What the heck is it? I can fly with no problem, but the error message comes up everytime I start FS9.I have not installed any scenery lately.Any Idea??

Hello,I catching up on some FS "work" and I noticed that there was an update for the Overland Airbus/Boeing series back in May '08. Does anybody know what the update does? I'd hate to go through the hassle of updating everything to find out that the product is basically the sam. I don't use them anymore and it would only really be worth it if there were updated VC/2d panel textures or better gauges.

The virtual cockpit on most aircraft work fine. But i got some repaints by Tom Collins and the virtual cockpit is white in color. The gauges work fine but the rest of the virtual cockpit area is whiteplease advise

Hi, I bought Xpax And I don't know have to use it!!!! I've used FS9 for about a year and half now and read the forums here for that long and I mostly fly small GA no larger than a King Air. I have been looking for freeware aircraft with good virtual cockpits, I found the AFG King Air, the Nord 3202 by Andre Chancel, and many of Bill Lyon's aircraft and I spend most of my flying time in those. I'm not particularly interested in a cabin mainly just an accurate detailed cockpit. Are there any other freeware aircraft with good virtual cockpits?

I've been running UT USA with Adjusted City/Town unchecked in the Land section of the UT opening menu...I have FS Genesis 38M and GE PRO...what exactly does this selectable item do? And, do most run with it on or off?THanksR.Perry

Can anyone recommend me a set of water textures that suit the UK well? I've tried just about every kind i can find over the years but none have come close to simulating the murky green/brown colour of the UK's water. The dark water textures from REP have been my choice up until now as they have the least cheesy look to them. I'd really wish someone was able to find a way to import the FSX water into FS9 in the same way that the FEX SHD clouds have been able to!

Anyone care to comment on the computer horsepower needed for the FS9- PMDG MD11?My 5+ year old 'puter runs PMDG 747 nicely in 2D with a few FS9 settings backed off. Question: Is MD11 likely to use more or less computer HP than the 747? (2D only- not interested in virtual since I run triple mons-triple views.)Opinions welcome!Alex Reid

Hi, I've just installed the overland 767 to FS from the Overland Package (FS2004).. I've installed the Gauges and the only thing I've changed is the sound, but there is a problem with the panel. When on the main cockpit screen (Not virtual cockpit), a section of it just goes blank, same with the boxes for A/P features are also blank, but when flicking over to virtual cockpit, they work. Hello @all,does anyone know what happen to canararysim scenery project?In the preview is a (finished?) version 1.5 for FS9 to see. Will they never release this pearl?Meanwhile, the FSX 2.0 version seems to be a bit outdated, since FWI brings out some great (payware) scenerys there.I would be very affraid it they could release v1.5 for FS9. Hi, every tip i have been given to get FS9 running on vista i have done.. But when starting a flight in full screen, When i open the GPS it flickers in the centre.. Whenever i take the game out of full screen it doesnt do it.. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

I am using the freeware scenery of Zurich airport made by FreeZ and I need some help. My AI land short of runway 28, is there something I can do in AFCAD so my AI will land on the runway and not feet short of it?

I been trying to install the 737 Tin Mouse. I extracted all the files into the appropriate directory, but the airplane doesn't as a selection in FS9. Do I need to change the FS9.cfg file, and if so, what changes should I make? Thanks for your help.

Hi, I'm having a problem with VFR Terrain that you can see in the screenshot. The correct coastline is drawn but the land between it and the ultimate terrain coastline is filled with water instead of land. Does anybody have any solutions to this? I've tried various placements in the scenery list but none have helped. Can't find any support for this from visual flight as they dont sell the product any more and nobody has posted in the VFR terrain forum since 2007!Any help is appreciated.
