I have Win XP Home running FS9 - with Rwy12, FSUIPC, and FS9JETS + a few other things I'm told are necessary. I'd like to enhance the scenery in the vicinity of Raleigh/Durham Intl. There are several very large ponds, lots of thick vegetation, and a couple of major highways. Can anyone help me get started with updating scenery so I can make the area around the airport look more like the real thing? Some sort of tutorial and the tools I'll need?Thanks very much, Gary

Does the MFD where it shows the route and weather radar on the PSS 757 zoom out? I merged with POSKY 757, but do I need to click something in the VC to make it zoom out?Or is it just like this?Please help, I have merged with only D panel, no VC, is this a factor to help the MFD zoom out etc?Thanks. excuse me as I know it's been covered but I can't find it. I have a triplehead to 3 monitors and I used to have 3 views, 10:30 12:00 o'clock and 1:30 across the monitors. I've lost 3 different angle views and now just have the 12:00 across all 3 monitors.How did I do it before. Laurelboy

Hello All,I have been reading and experienced the issue with Carenado's new Piper Arrow regarding the take-off speed(around 90 to 95kts indicated to get off the ground). I did some touch & go's tonight and found the following, if you trim forward of the neutral line about one third of the way to full down trim, it will fly off at 70 to 75 kts indicated. I reported earlier that I thought the trim was backward. I think this pretty much proves it. I also tried the contact points fix posted here on the forum and it seems to work pretty well.The only other issue I see is the panel at night seems too dark unless the dome light is on. I hope to see a patch soon from Carenado…

i've finally decided that my system can't run fsx. I want to use my heavies at major airports with full traffic and nice clouds, and my computer can't handle it.I'm thinking of going to fs9 because of my framerate problems, but since I jumped straight into fsx I never tried it.Can anybody tell me what features were added in fsx that aren't in fs9? I know FSx introduced missions, but apart from that I don't know the differences.thanks

E-maild Carenado three (3!) times, asking them if they have some patch/update soon to come for the problems with the bumping/jumping nosewheel, (takeoff/breaking/landing) and why the nosewheel doesnt turn when i turn my CH Flightsim Yoke. I have no pedals thou (The nosewheel turns on the Mooney and Cessna 172/152) Still no answer. Sad, and too bad Carenado! Too Bad!RegardsP....Regarding The "T-tail"!, Sorry... missed that.P.

Please ignore previous topic due to wrong informationI have airport sceneries from Cloud 9 & Dreamteam, for some reason they worked without the FS9.1 update, I thought maybe another scenery updated it automatically.However the Addon Manager from Dreamteam disappeared a short while ago leaving me without the airports sceneries.I need the update in order to install the Addon Manager however it halts when it needs to process the modules (see the attached photo).My computer crashed a couple of years ago, I installed this FS2004 directly into a second hard drive (D).So I have not altered it in any way as I can think of.I like to mention that the first time I ran de update …

Just curious, but I would really like to get the 707 Professional for FS 2004 from Captain Sim, but it says everywhere that it is not vista compatible. Is this really the case? Does anyone run this in Vista and if so, does it run without issues?Thanks for any input.

This may well sound like a stupid question, but I need to check whether I have already updated FS9 to FS9.1. I have the update file fs91upd.exe on my external hard disk but cannot remember whether I have run it. If I check the properties of my fs9.exe file it gives the file version as 9.1.0.40901, but if I look further down at Other version information and click on File Version it shows 9.01.040901.01. So based on this, have I got FS9.1 or just FS9? Obviously if I haven't got version 9.1 I will need to run the update.

I'll post this here since I seem to offend someone on the PMDG forum:Hello, in an on going attempt to gain performance I use alacritypc to shut down everything in the background before launching FS9 and the PMDG 747.In the 2D cockpit, I get up to 45fps, but the virtual cockpit is extemely variable with FPS from 14-38. with this range, I get stutters.What I'm wondering is, with the specs. I flew from NTAA to NCRG, i'm using rarotonga by Tim Clayton from avsim library.Everytime i came closer to rarotonga, it crashed to desktopIt happened at about 160-ish nm from RG VOR.I'm on VPA's world tour now, but the CTD is always occured.Can you help me?Thx!

This may be an old topic, but I did a search and didn't find anything to help.I fly a lot with the 737-400, using FS Passengers and Radar Contact addons. I will graduate to my new PMDG 737-700, as soon as I learn all of it's bells and whistles. I try to make my flights as realistic as possible, using actual flight information from (primarily) Southwest Airline routes, and loading real weather.This leads to my problem...before I start a flight, I check relevant weather on NOAA's Aviation Weather Center. Regardless of that information, FS 9's weather generator seems to do whatever the hell it wants. I have tried both 15 minute updated, and static weather generation. Ye…

I have made my own AFCAD airport file and enjoy the ease of use of AFCAD, but im having one problem so far,When i try to reposition the tower at the airport in question, it allows me to do that and i save it, but when i launch FS9 it still gives me the default tower view location? Any ideas on what i may be missing or doing wrong? I reopen the Modded AFCAD and it shows my changes are in affect but it does not in FS9.Thanks.......

Strange behavior: On the ground at rest at any location. When I hit the 'Y' key to turn on SLEW, it switches into SLEW mode and immediately takes off at high speed, going laterally. It will keep racing unless I hit the '5' key on the numpad to stop it. Seems like on immediately entering slew mode, something is not zeroed out, and a lateral directional input is already "on", and at high speed. Is this fault something in the FS9 cfg that needs changing??Thanks,John

I got Jordan Moore UH-1 and Bell 412 and they don't let my radios get changed. I changed the UH-1 addon panel and the radio and GPS section of the panel.cfg, so that's all good, just the 412.The Comm1+2 and Nav 1+2 and ADF dont change and the Autohover doesnt show and the ADI just keeps moving to the left and not even. Please help. (Hovercontrol_412_PersonalEdition_v1.exe). I have installed the 412 twice after deleting it the first time.GREAT PACKAGE, just not for me.

Is there a mod/pack/install that adds real world airlines to FS2004 as AI traffic?I usually create my own liveries for planes I fly, fictional airline kinda thing, but would like to have United, American, etc. as AI traffic.

Anybody have trouble running FSPause with Vista?It appears i have Netframework 1.1 on my computer but it just wont work.I am about to give Vista the big heave ho its Pi#$%ing ME OFF!!!!!

Anyone else got the FS9 Piper Arrow from Carenado? I tried a short flight in it tonight, not bad. I noticed the trim wheel seems to work backwards as it should. Can someone else confirm.Thanks,Dale
