Hi guys, Could someone please explain how to go about lighting up the logo on an aircraft verticalstab in FS9. I have done a lot of research on this but I am not having much luck.I belioeve it is done by editing aircraft cfg in the lights section and then you must have the proper effect for it. Thanks

...used to be a problem. But no more! I've managed to make a widescreen version of the PMDG 2D zoom panel, so now it wont be all stretched out. There is a problem though, it only looks good during the day. I cannot access the night textures because of how PMDG packaged the gauges. Although it is usable at night, it won't look the same as the other views. Maybe PMDG will send me the night textures (hint hint). :(

For some months now I've been getting (intermittent) problems with ATC (on the ground) directing me to a gate or parking after landing, only for me to find another aircraft there when I arrive (not a static a/c). Or, as just happened, an a/c landing just behind me is directed by ATC to the same gate they have just told me to taxi to.This can happen at any airport as far as I can see. I've checked for multiple AFCADs or for errors in the AFCAD file(using AFCAD2). I have Ultimate Traffic, and have recompiled the traffic.bgl file more than once, but it wouldn't be the fault of UT that ATC is directing more than one aircraft to park at the same gate. Hello,I need some opinions, I am still trying to figure out if AirNav for 2004 is a good product? What are the pros and cons? Right now I have Traffic 2005, but looking to get something new. I noticed some of the airnav screenshots have added scenery to airports, does it ad scenery to your airports? I dont want to loose what I have bought from Flytampa and all....Thanks!

I have searched all over for a solution to my problem but cant find one is there anyone who can help me please? I am desparate.When I am taxiing or starting to roll for take off, the ground is extremely choppy and the display stutters but once I take off and I am in the air everything is fine. I have turned down the frame ate to 10 & reduced all sliders to minimum but the prob is still there. Hello,It seems there is a solution for improving ground friction : it calls "sim1.dll".I'm really interested to try it, but I can't find it : all links I follow are closed.Does someone try the concerned file ? This may sound crazy but.... I have used several graphics cards w/fs9 and had good results. I just went to a faster processor (same motherboard) and installed an ATI 3850. When I start flying, takeoff even from a dense airport scenery location, fps is excellent. Then, after several minutes as I approach my destination, fps starts dropping to unuseable (4-7fps). At first this is a quick alternating from good fps to bad every half second but then it just goes so low I can't do anything! I have downloaded the latest ATI driver. HELP!!! Any ideas? Never had problems before.

Just got build/ver 2.4.5 of the above.Graphics is a GEForce 8600GTS Nvidia4 gig of ram.Question being which takes precedence in controlling the in-game graphics ?The nHancer, in-game settings or what i place on the graphics control panel?Also, does the eHancer need to be runing in the background while FS9 is running.Appreciate any answers, as I've screwed up the graphics a wee bit and need a starting point.Thanks,irish3

Flicking through a GA pilot mag, what struck me was the huge variety of panels available in basically the same aircraft, say a C172 for example.There were all manner of combinations, from knackered old analogues, through some with a GPS fitted in, right up to full blown glass cockpits. Even a full glass cockpit in a pup!Would it be good to have a good GA aircraft model, say a C172, then the developer offers many virtual cockpit panel variations, to use the various glass cockpit gauges available, like reality XP. Endless additional sales opportunities for one exterior model.

I posted this on the PMDG forum but also thought someone in this forum might be able to help.I want to run PMDG 737 & 747 on my 46" Samsung LCD. At this point, I want to ensure full function of the panels and worry about aesthetics later. PMDG's website indicates the panels should be run in 4:3 aspect ratio to work properly.1) Is it possible to run these panels in 16:9 with full and normal functionality, and if so, 2) how do I make it happen? Hey everyone, thanks for the help! My computer caught a virus a few days ago, so I had to reboot the OS. All is well, but I'm noticing some problems as I re-install all my addons etc. When running FS9 in Full Screen mode, I do not get a mouse to click on switches etc. I never had this problem, and I do not know how to fix it. Just wondering if anyone else might know of a solution. The mouse does show when the screen is not in full screen mode. I am running Vista 32 Bit with FS9. Thanks again!

I installed triplehead on my server PC with 3 monitors.In FS 2004 cockpit window undocked mode I open two new cockpit views and undocked them. So I have:view 00 forwardview 01 forward leftview 02 forward rightIn View 01 and View 02 and don't get a clear view, I have panels and cockpit parts.How can I get rid of them?TanksAbrupto

I jumped in feet first to flight simming a few years ago with FSX thinking with my lightning fast PC the latest release from MS would be the way to go. Well two years later and several upgrades to my system I wasn't satisfied with the performance. Droping down to a busy airport such as JFK and watching my frame rates hit 5-6FPS and the wonderful jearky feeling I thought, "This isn't going to work".So I got FS2004 and a few enhancments and all I can say is wow. Have I got this right?It appears to be the case that if I save a flight with the aircraft located at a particular parking spot (i.e. not on the "active runway") FS9 stores the current active runway.When I reload the flight the original active runway will remain as the departure runway for AI and ATC irrespective of the actual weather (if using live weather).Currently I'm using Active Sky to give me live weather and sure enough FS9 ATC ATIS broadcasts the right weather (currently 276 degrees and 21 knots) at my chosen airfield. I think I want to depart on runway 28 HOWEVER ATC tells me to taxi to runway 10 which is where the AI is also taking off from.I've tried refreshing…

Fs9 has not caused me any seroius problems over the last few years and I'm very happy except for one nagging problem. When flying over the paris area, I get terrain dll errors. I have the Aerosoft Mega Airport Paris CDG installed and looked for solutions on their site and was told that was not an issue reported by other users. This is the ONLY aera in Fs9 where I get these errors.What brought me to this forum is when I uninstalled CDG, I still get the terrain dll errors when I fly over paris. I'm about ready to make the move to FSX but would like to know what is causing these errors because I will be installing the FSX version of CDG.ThanksAlex

Saitek Yoke Hatswitch Views problem correctedA few weeks ago while trying to set up my new GoFlight "Corporate" Flight Gear I some how messed up the views that were controled by the Hatswith on my Saitek Pro Yoke. These are the ones that I had in mind:-Cielosim Instant Enhancer-Cielosim Flight Enhancer (Don't see the difference between one of the other)-Ground Environment-Zinertek Texture improvement-Cielosim Bundles-Or should I just use the freeware Real Environment Pro?This may seem repetitive to another topic I think I saw posted but I want to know more about the differences in cielosim's addons. For some years I used FlightDeck Companion with great success. However, quite some time ago I began to get an error and it stopped working for me. With the kind help of the supplier and originator of the program, we still could not find my problem. Due to the fact that it was I think the original version updated several time, I gave up.Today, being that I still had the program installed, on a lark I tried it again.
